Welcome to our last episode here in Switzerland :( this has seriously been such an incredible few weeks and this beautiful and awe-inspiring country has easily shot straight up our top favourite countries list! Let us know which was your favourite episode and if you want us to come back - where should we go? p.s. new series starts Wednesday!
I like this last episode the best. Also, please consider Garmisch, Germany (South of Munich . It sits at the bottom of Zugspitze Mountain which is the highest in Germany. Cable cars or train to the top. Incredible views. Thank you for sharing all of your travels and we love it 😀
@@juliemiller2523 they have been together since age 16 and they would save all their money together aiming for a year long travel trip. They went on said year long trip in 2015 and made videos throughout the way eventually getting sponsored and growing their channel. RU-vid is now their full time job and this is how they fund their travel through the money they make through social media/business.
I cant stop appreciating Hunter for being such a good sport and joyous.. she's one lucky child to be able to explore the world with her two awesome parents ❣️ thanks for taking us along! Also yes return in the winter ☃️
Tip for those who wish to save money on this stretch: cut your journey in 2 pieces in 2 subsequent days, using local (express ) trains only on the same route: First take the RE (Regional express) via the Albula route from St.Moritz to Chur about 2 1/2 hr ride running every hour. This is a regular train and you pay the regular price. In Chur stay overnight, Next morning thake the regular train (runs hourly) to Disentis/Muster where you have to change (direct correspondence) to the Matterhorn Gothard Bahn which takes you (mostly direct, but with many stops) via Andermatt to Brig and Zermatt.
I have done this from chur in first class. The benefit was you can always open the windows. (the "Express" was full) And it did not take longer! And when you taking more train rides think about swiss travel pass.
This was by far one of the most delightful videos I have seen on youtube yet! I had a smile on my face the whole time. And what made it really really special for me was your interaction with your child it was so loving so kind and sweet. Kudos to you!
That train trip would definitely be incredible in winter. And (having a 2 year-old myself) is seriously impressed with how patient hunter was during the train trip! Definitely adding the glacier express to my bucket list.
Your videos always screams AUTHENTICITY. And probably that's why lot of people supporting you. Honestly watching you grow, I would say you are doing pretty well now. Stay safe🥰
Hunter's reactions to the new experiences are just precious! YES, go back in winter! The Glacier Express is stunning then!! And the Christmas markets--and the decorations--are absolutely fabulous!! Your video makes me want to go back to Switzerland in summer--it's very different!
Omgoodness Hunter is such a delight and such a good girl. She is always so happy and easy going. What an amazing educational life she is living. I am looking forward to going to switzerland next September even more now.
Yes. Go back in Winter! I love watching your travel videos. It makes me want to be one of those people who I believe are called world schoolers. I homeschool my children but how amazing would it be to study history in various parts of the world. Or sit in a cafe looking at the Matterhorn while completing an algebra assignment. God bless you all.
I have been watching the two (now three) of you since the very beginning. The way that your story telling, videography, and comfort in front of the camera have matured is incredible. Keep up the amazing work you are doing; I love living these places thru your eyes. Safe travels to your next amazing destination.
Switzerland is so beautiful. We were there, in winter, a few years ago. Looking at your videos, it just makes us want to go back there again, in summer maybe… ♥️
The staff on the train were so cute! "for the baby" ☺️ It may be expensive but it seems like such a memorable journey! Definitely on our list. Those shots of Jess and Hunter in the middle of the wildflowers were sooo beautiful! ❤️
Thank you for sharing your great experience with us. You are such an authentic family. Our country has much to offer, but it comes at a price, which not all citizens can afford. So, it is super to watching vlogs like yours.
I've been on the Bernina express 2 weeks ago, right around the time you released your Bernina express video. And I really enjoyed the beautiful train ride. 😍 I think I have to return for the Glacier express in the future! Another money saving tip for Switzerland: buy a Interrail/Eurail pass, you can use it for all trains including Bernina and Glacier express and the Golden Pass. You still have to book your seat separately but you'll still save TONS of money.
I must go book this trip - absolutely stunning. One word of advice I had learnt from my brother when he was at university. I had noticed when he returned that from time to time he would wear his tops inside out when I went to moms house. Never thought anything of it but discovered he did it to so that if spelt food down it wouldn't matter because he just reversed it the right way when going out and no one was none the wiser. So if your daughter messes her top again just turn it inside out.
Wow. The windows on that train with views all around. 😍 Switzerland looks so magical and otherworldly. Almost feels like we aren't worthy to have a place so beautiful on this Earth.
Yes, I was there at the same time this video was posted last year, and also took the Glacier Express. The only way to describe it is heaven on earth. The kind of beauty that takes your breath away and makes your heart race. I didn’t know any place on earth could be this beautiful, and the weather in September is perfect. It feels like a dream now a year later!
We adore Switzerland!! We travel in March and April when we go overseas which is cooler BUT both times the moutains have beem socked in with high winds, fog, and rain. We decided the price was too steep to not be able to see anything. This makes us want to go back in the summer months. Thanks, great video.
If you do enough train rides (and stay long enough) then it is worth getting the Swiss travel pass. This is what I do and the Glacier express is free, you just have to pay for the seat reservation. I tried the food once and I was not too impressed, so I normally do what I do on all swiss trains - buy some cheese, fresh bread and cheap wine, etc in the supermarket and have a picnic on the train. It can be done on the cheap.
Switzerland is my dream. I went once for 10 days and I wanted to move there. It is the MOST beautiful country that I have ever been to. And I have been to quite a few.
I'm an aussie who lives in Switzerland, and so i loved watching your swiss vlogs! Looks like you had a great time. I forget what it was like to be brand new here, so it gave me all the warm fuzzies!
When you come back - check out Oeschinensee, Blausee, Brienz & Geissbach waterfalls. Definitely staying overnight at Pilatus is as good as you'd thought it would be!
I moved to Switzerland a few years ago, but was never able to get around a lot. Also: Even if you know, that the country is beautiful, you sometimes just forget, because you´re so used to it. Thanks for taking us along your trips
Absolutely amazing! Makes me really want to travel to Switzerland! Hunter is the cutest ever and melts my heart and is such a happy child! So incredible she gets to experiences all of that with you
I love Switzerland! So beautiful. My guess for the fondue and drinks: $150 USD ($219 AUD). A splurge for an incredible experience every now and then is worth it.
My favorite part of this whole video was Hunter smelling the flowers, and saying yellow purple. This was such a beautiful video! I would LOVE to see you all go in the winter!
sometimes I need such videos to be remembered in what a beautiful country I have the luck to live in. came here 23 years ago, now have a family, and sometimes I forget how lucky I am... 💕
Based upon this video my wife and rode this train yesterday from Triano to St. Moritz and back. The weather was perfect. I would really recommend NOT paying for the more expensive train with the bigger windows (the Express). Here’s why: the regular train cars have tall windows that drop down pretty far to open allowing you to take photos without the glare caused by the train’s interior lighting. Plus you can lean out (a little) to catch views of your train as it goes through the many curves. Prices have increased - we paid 66 CHF return (round trip) each for 2nd class. Oh, and definitely sit on the left side going up, and the right side going down.
I just watched all your swiss videos in one go. I loved it, you just make me smile and happy. You three have a lovely energy :) Greetings from Chur, Switzerland!
Thank you so much for the beautiful presentation Switzerland my friends 👍😁Amazing video and I'm so excited to see what happens next 🤗😁love the video. Thanks for sharing and take care 😁👍
I just want to roar with Hunter: It's so beautiful! The most scenic playgrounds for sure. Sitting in the wildflowers meadow, I am getting major " Heidi" vibes. Always loved the books. That fondue looked amazing, probably it's weight worth in gold. How much did Hunter enjoy her favorite food group, cheese? To be honest, in this absolutely beautiful place and at such altitude, any piece of bred and cheese would probably taste amazing. Thanks again for a deLIGHTFUL video. Loving every bit! ♥️
You should try living in a tiny home I live in one with my 2 kids after me and my husband did van life (which we loved) but it became to small for 4 people. So we built a tiny house which has space for us to grow. We have loved every minute of it and are still able to travel full time!! I just thought it could be an idea for you if you are looking to still travel and start adding to your family! 😊
Thank you for the lovely video. Switzerland is such a beautiful country and their train system is just owesome. Will be heading back for a holiday in few months time 😊 … you guys are lovely, btw.
Really love watching your various travels around the world, seeing how hunter is growing up ,her personality coming out,the only downside to going to Switzerland is the cost of things,I think the fondue meal must have cost at least £80 ,can’t think what the cost of train travel would be though (VERY EXPENSIVE!!!!!!).look forward to seeing where you go next in Europe.
I had traveled from Switzerland to Italy four years ago. The prices weren't cheap and the trains weren't fancy. I didn't know such a nice and cheap train existed. The train is really clean and nice!
Thank you so much for filming your adventure in Switzerland! Really appreciate all the work you do to give us the information on what works and what may not work as well.
Long time sub here, Travel and videography aside, I have two daughters your guys ages and I just wanted to commend you on your parenting. Just wonderful to see all the love.
Love your videos! I often binge watch your earlier ones and I cannot have enough of them. I adore when you try new food and Jess is so good in describing the taste. You guys are so good at what you do for so long. Thank you! 🌹🙏💜
Hey guys...been following this channel for last 2 years..watched every single episode twice...travel shows help me forget everything else...so ur show was kind of therapeutic while i was going thru extreme life changes in last 2 years
The Trip is excellent in September / October and Februar to April. If you can afford pick the 1st Class. Food is way above Train Level. It doesn’t make a difference if you Start in Zermatt or St Moritz. Reservation yes.

I’ve been waiting for this video for soooo long because I’ve been on that train at the same time as you were and then was lucky to meet you all in Zermatt 🥰 I love this Swiss series!
Switzerland definitely just jumped to the top fo the bucket list... most glorious landscapes... Cheers for sharing the world with us through your eyes... Hunter is just adorable, the life experiences she is clocking up is epic... please keep the videos coming... 🌹
Thank you so much for the amazing video. It brought back great memories of my visits to Zermatt. The Glacier Express train is the best. I skied the Matterhorn in the winter and it was a great experience.
Hi Jess, Stephen and beautiful little angel Hunter. I have just currently discovered your channel, and as a proud swiss, I really loved watching your videos about Switzerland and see how much all of you (including Hunter - and yes, there are many great playgrounds in Switzerland ;-)) it here. I know that Switzerland is very expensive and therefore sadly off limits for many persons, but I also think that its a very beautiful country and that the quality of living here is really amazing.
This has been one of my favorite series you guys have done, it has just been so beautiful! I definitely think you should come back in the winter. Also when Hunter dropped her toy in the glass of water I laughed 🤣. Anyway loved it all guy!
Before setting off to such heights, tourists from lowland areas drink a lot of Coca-Cola due to its properties. That's why in Peru they chew coca leaves, it's easier to bear such heights.
Well hmm fondue.. 143? Seriously loved this Switzerland trip!! Seeing stuff I’ve never imagined 😮 On the last little bit, when Hunter said she was happy..🫠 I melted! Plus she was looking so big!! It’s happening too fast 🥹. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us. It’s priceless 🧡🖤🧡
This is so sweet and I am blown away by the cinematography every episode of your European trip! My guess on the meal...$200 US dollars? I may be way off, but considering McDonalds was $50...
I would say the Fondue was about 90-100 CHF 🧐 Really enjoyed this series and please do come back in the winter. It’s always fun to see my home from other peoples eyes and it gives me new ideas on what to see/visit 😃
There is a place called Serfaus in Austria pretty close to the Swiss border which is full of playgrounds on every Alm! The gondolas are all free during summer/autumn if staying in a hotel in Serfaus, Fiss or Ladis. I am sure, Hunter would adore it ❤️. It‘s full of family fun. Just in case you extend your trip😉. My son loved it so much, that we drove there every year from Lucerne😂.
You're brave to travel on a train for +8h with a toddler. :) I bet it wasn't easy to entertain Hunter the whole way. I can't imagine to travel with my 3-year old. He enjoy train rides, but 8h is just too much for him. :) He would love McDonalds as a reward too. :) I love Zermatt. To me it is one of the most beautiful villages in Switzerland. Very touristy, but for a reason. Skiing there is great too. Sled run from Gornergrat down to Zermatt is supposed to be epic. :) We wanted to do it, but were there too early in the season and there were not enough snow for the sled run to be open. Next winter, hopefully. Re. cheese & chocolate, I'm team Jess. :) Another great Switzerland vlog. I hope you'll managed to get back one day to experience it in different season too. :)
