Shop Furygan Gilet Airbag… bit.ly/FuryAir...
Furygan’s Gilet Airbag System could be your guardian angel. Its high-tech sensors are designed to know you’re crashing before you do, and fire an air cushion to soften the impact. Watch one in action (a demonstration, thankfully) and find out lots of info about how they work and what you can expect. Male viewers are especially advised to watch before buying!

This week it saved me for 3th time. People where surprised in am in such good shape after a week. I use all 3 settings. So i expierianst it on race track and now this last weekend in Adventure mode. Now i have to contact shop for a look to the system by in&motion. Curious how long that will take. It is a have must for save driving. It is easy and comfortable to wear. Greetings from me to all happy drivers. WARNING. DON'T BE A FOOL. DO THE RIGHT THING. PROTECT YOUR SELVE.😊

Perfect, for me the best techno / airbag on the market, great video

I’m in the market for one of these and have just started looking in to the various options. I especially like the fact that In&motion airbag provides neck protection. This feature is missing from so other well know airbag systems. As someone who uses a Leatt STX Road Neck Brace, any airbag system I’d seriously consider has to include protection for the neck. As well as the usual chest, back and Abdomen protection. The Furygan variant of In@motions airbag looks to be the better pick due to the D30 back protector, which I understand is the only one that is CE L2 rated? Along with the matching D30 chest protector. Plus even in NZ$, it’s really well priced! 😊👍🏼

Yes, Furygan is the only one I'm aware of with the L2 back protector. It's also easy to add chest protector inserts for a bit of extra reassurance. Cheers, Tony

I see lot of people complaining about the 12euro monthly subscription. Paying 20 euro/month for a netflix sub is not a problem, but 12euro/month to drastically increase your survivability while riding is a no go? Imho it's a no brainer. And if it really is a problem, e.g. you can search/change for a cheaper insurance for your motorcycle and try to save >= 12 euro/month. I mean there's always a solution.

Thank you for the really useful video. It was useful to see the demonstration of the airbag activating, but you weren't wearing a crash helmet, so it was difficult to see how effectively the inflated airbag braces or immobilises your head and neck... I'm deliberating between the furygan airbag and the options from Klim & Ixon; are you able to clarify how much support to head and neck is provided by the furygan, the Klim and the Ixon airbag vests. Thanks in advance
@sportsbikeshop
@sportsbikeshop 2 года назад
Those three brands all use the same In&motion airbag so there will be no difference in the support provided to the head and neck. In&motion have partnerships with the three brands mentioned as well as Held, RST and Tucano Urbano. Thanks for getting in touch. Cheers, Tony

Don't bother paying for in&motion unless you wanna invest in the jackets with integrated airbag systems. Helite and Alpinestars offer both the most protective aswell as the most cost effective systems out there right now.

Do you find the jackets look to baggie with 15 centimetres of expansion? That seems a lot!
@sportsbikeshop
@sportsbikeshop 4 месяца назад
I'd personally rather not have that much room in my kit, but everyone is different I guess. My choice would be to have a jacket with stretch panels designed to accommodate an inflation. Cheers, Tony

Thanks mate! Are there any jackets you recommend that do have stretch panels to accommodate?
@sportsbikeshop
@sportsbikeshop 4 месяца назад
I've been in touch with Furygan about it, seeing as it's their vest. They recommend going up one size from normal to accommodate the airbag inflation. I think going up one size won't make things too baggy - I have to go up a size fairly frequently when doing these reviews and it's not too big a drama to do that. I hope that helps. Cheers, Tony

Seems like no one’s massively clear on this point with the vests that go underneath- including the manufacturer. What makes a furygan jacket air bag compatible then?
@sportsbikeshop
@sportsbikeshop 4 месяца назад
Agreed. It's not clear enough. I contacted Furygan, thinking they'd tell me accordion stretch panels on airbag-compatible jackets/suits would allow them to expand around the airbag, meaning we could wear normal size kit. They're suggesting that IS the case for the newer versions of the In&motion airbags, which are just coming out now, but with this older-style vest they're still saying to go up a size. Sorry I can't be clearer - I can only pass on the information I'm getting. If it helps, Held put me in their In&motion vest a few years ago, with a close-fitting textile jacket over the top (my normal size). They then fired the bag, to prove it would be OK. Nothing went wrong, all my ribs stayed intact and the jacket fabric expanded around the airbag. Just rider to rider, I think you'll be OK as long as you don't want to wear a jacket that feels like it's been painted on. Cheers, Tony

1. Does lifetime subscription include track mode? 2. Is the older vest better integrated with their race suits? 3. There seems to be very little shoulder and kidney protection - what do you reckon?
@sportsbikeshop
@sportsbikeshop 2 года назад
Hi, thanks for your questions. 1) No, the track mode costs an extra £25 annually or £8 monthly as far as I can tell. 2) Possibly marginally as you can zip it into the suit and then put them on together. 3) If you hit your shoulder directly side-on the airbag may not help, but for impacts to the shoulder blades or collarbones then it would give extra protection. As for kidneys, I'd like to think they would benefit from an inflated airbag. 4) Is it OK if I try not to put Q3 to a real world test please? 😉 Thanks for getting in touch. Cheers, Tony

Hi there. I have one ordered in at one of your shops for me to try. Just watched this video and you say your shouldn't zip your trousers to your jacket, so does that mean you can't wear this under one piece leathers?
@sportsbikeshop
@sportsbikeshop Месяц назад
One-piece leathers will be fine as long as you have room inside for the inflated bag. There's plenty of experience of airbag vests being used effectively inside one-piece race suits. Cheers, Tony

@@sportsbikeshop thanks for replying but I really don't understand the difference then. A two piece leather suit zipped up is the same as a one piece suit, so why can you use this with a one piece but not with a two piece if zipped together? I have a one piece and two piece and wanted to be able to use it in both. Thanks in advance.

@@TeamSimpsonRacing Let me contact In&motion for you and ask why they recommend leaving jackets and trousers unzipped, yet say one-piece suits are fine. I'll reply when I hear back from them. Cheers, Tony

Hello again. I've heard back from In&motion and they've changed their advice since we made this video in 2021. They say jackets can be zipped to trousers in the following circumstances... • Motorcycle jacket must be compatible. • Trouser size must follow the manufacturer’s sizing guide. • For leather jacket and trouser sets, the trousers must have an additional stretch area in the crotch. • In the case of a set where the jacket is a product with integrated airbag, the set is compatible if the pants are of the same brand. • One of the two parts of the zipper, either on the jacket side or on the pants side, must be mounted on a flexible area (stretch fabric or mechanical flex) of at least 3 cm / 1.25 in for a textile product or at least 5 cm / 2 in for a leather product. I hope this covers what you would like to know, but please come back to me if not. Cheers, Tony

Hi Tony. Am looking to get this vest instead of the Ixon airbag vest as the Furygan comes with level 2 back armour. What size vest are you using in this video? Thanks

So have Furygan done away with the system that zips into their own jackets and are now making this standalone version instead?
@sportsbikeshop

Yes, exactly that. The old Air Fury vest that zipped into Furygan's jackets and suits didn't survive in their range for very long. Cheers, Tony

@@sportsbikeshop Ah, thank you. Do you know what the recharge costs are for the Alpinestars Tech Air 5? I've heard that they've abandoned plans for it to be done in store and that due to Brexit it's taking months and costing a lot of money, to the point that it'd be cheaper to buy one of these than have the Tech Air recharged
@sportsbikeshop
@sportsbikeshop 3 года назад
Alpinestars say dealer service isn't possible at the moment, but might be possible in future. You're right about the delay in returning is very big - Alpinestars won't even put a number on it for me. BKS Leathers in Devon can service and recharge, so Alpinestars are recommending customers get it done there rather than returning to Italy. Cost is £99 for a routine service or £299 if the bag itself needs replacing (which is required after most deployments). Thanks for getting in touch, and I hope that helps. Cheers, Tony
@davuspg
@davuspg 3 года назад
@@sportsbikeshop Thank you for the reply Tony. I had no idea that BKS was an option and was on the verge of just buying a replacement vest from Furygan or Ixon. Interesting that Alpinestars say a bag replacement is likely to be necessary after deployment when the other vests can be recharged by the owner multiple times before the vest needs a manufacturer service. Either way it's fantastic that this sort of kit is available to bikers nowadays and as mentioned is something I'd never ride without now.

Can this vest be worn over the top of my motorcycle jacket? And if it’s raining I thought I could put a lite rain jacket over the motorcycle jacket & the air vest to keep it all dry. I’m just not to sure if my jacket will allow the vest to work properly having It underneath
@sportsbikeshop
@sportsbikeshop Год назад
It's not recommended to wear over the top as an airbag vest like this needs to be worn close to the body and also needs to be protected from abrasion, hence being worn under a bike jacket. I hope that helps. Cheers, Tony

That's what it says in the owners' manual for the vest - though Furygan don't point out the reason so I'm speculating as to why they'd suggest you leave jacket and trousers disconnected. I reckon it could get pretty uncomfortable! Thanks for getting in touch. Cheers, Tony

Does this vest need to be connected (Bluetooth etc) to your mobile? With sat navigation and Cardo headsets connection already this could be an issue. Many thanks
@sportsbikeshop
@sportsbikeshop 2 года назад
The connection between phone and In&box is not Bluetooth, so no issue there. It doesn't need to be connected to your phone in any way while riding, though you will need it for set-up and it's also useful to use the phone app to change preferences and monitor battery life. Thanks for getting in touch and I hope that helps. Cheers, Tony

The software cost is straight unacceptable. The model is what will stop this from being purchased by the general public.
@sportsbikeshop

It is definitely the most divisive issue around In&motion airbags. It is always an option to buy the In&box outright and then there's no need for a monthly sub. The price then becomes similar to other brands of electronic airbags. Cheers, Tony

Too many complications takes away what riding is all about. The concept is great but not economical The cost of this “leasing” or subscription after the high initial cost of buying the bloody thing is a big rip off 👎👎👎
@sportsbikeshop
@sportsbikeshop 2 года назад
I take your point on complications reducing the liberating feeling of riding a bike. Also, you're far from alone in disliking the subscription model. You can buy the In&box part outright rather than leasing and if you do this the total cost ends up being similar to other electronic airbags with a non-subscription model. Thanks for getting in touch. Cheers, Tony

How do go about sizing. I have a DRC full suit and it compatible to zip into the suit. How do you know what size to order without having the ability to try them on?
@sportsbikeshop
@sportsbikeshop Год назад
I'd double check with DRC that they've designed in enough expansion room for an In&Motion airbag to inflate, then it should just be a case of choosing the vest size that applies to you. There's a size chart on the product listing page... www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/544553 As for whether the uninflated vest will fit under your suit, there's no way to be 100% sure in advance of purchase without coming to a store and trying the two together. Thanks for getting in touch. Cheers, Tony
