Don't forget that Bangkok is at the doorstep of Singapore, Hong Kong, Seoul, Tokyo, Taipei, Shenzhen, Shanghai etc - in other words, there's no shortage of Crazy Rich Asians that can spend on Louis Vuitton like it's bargain stuff at the MBK mall.

Yes, I agree. It's so sad to see a lot of rubbish and garbage in the klong and It's much more sad to known that many people over there were trying to clean it everyday but probably it's too many people so it's really hard to controlled, let's guess how it's like when there are fully tourists and local at the time before covid when more than 40+ millions tourists came to Thailand per year. It's really shocked for the local that lived nearby the tourists area too my friends like near the food markets or night markets because noone known before that there will be a hill of rubbish like many tons per day over there sit and wait for the service and when I said Tons I really mean 1000++ kgs !!! You have to use a truck to pick them away. I think and hope they'll have to make the rules about these things very soon.
Yep, unhealthy, bad for the environment and people who live near it. Countries that are advanced have better waste and garbage disposal. Thailand is not there yet. Probably only Japan and South Korea have the highest standards in Asia. They're rich and well-developed. Thailand can get there, but it will require effort, money and public education.
@@majorkade Very Sadly it's up side down my friend, now Thailand is the biggest hub for them and have been recycled the garbage for them for decades my friend and those countries just sent those garbage here and this year we have a lot of problems about those garbage from the west too as there were a biggest news about last month because Thai people couldn't even lived there because now it's about 481,381 Tons of garbage and toxic plastics from another countries just per year(only in 2022) and we really do not want them too, and we still have a problem to try to send them back now because there are a lot of tons and tons that they cheated and should not send here and like I said we still have a problem about them(just heard from the news) The 5 most countries that have been sent their garbage to recycle here in asean in 2022. 1. America = 439,129 Tons/year 2. Japan. = 430,064 Tons/year 3. Hong Kong = 149,516 Tons/year 4. Germany. = 136,034 Tons/year 5. UK = 112,046 Tons/year Yes my friend, they have sent their plastic garbages here they never recycle it themself. And like I said the saddest part on the news I saw was many Thai people around those areas have to leave their house because they couldn't even breath it's because the latest problem I mentioned before that they just thrown everything here without permission and we have no place to keep and recycle those hills of toxic garbage too and there was no response from the country who sent them and yes it's a lot of money to send those things back. I'm Thai and would be really glad if every countries just try to recycly by themself. Thank you very much for conversation my friend.
@onalonan ooo I would be sending it back. Thailand has its own big trash worries. The country is not big enough to store other countries' garbage. Bangkok needs to clean its klongs, waterways and the mighty Mekong. And there needs to be a better in picking up trash, both my citizens living on sois, and the city sanitation workers. It will help beautify and clean Bangkok. Progress has been made in twenty years, but more can be done. I like the electrical wiring and cables being put underground, but it is way behind. Things like this indicate to many people that Thailand is slow developing. Go check out Singapore, Tokyo and any Western country. Take care, my friend. 😉
@@majorkade what I saw from the news we couldn't send it back yet because now noone let these garbage passing through the country easily(the country who sent too)and the cost of shipping would be a lot of millions that's why we thought they cheated us on the news. Yes Thailand already have a lot of these problem here and hope all people helping each others to develop.
