I was tremendously impressed by this film, especially by Volonte's performance: very much against type but just as compelling! I also really enjoyed learning about the writer Leonardo Sciascia, and I've recently bought this book "The Moro Affair" after hearing about it in the extra features. For me, Elio Petri can do no wrong.
@manvfilm Yes, that was the first Petri film that I saw, courtesy of Criterion, and I was deeply impressed by that one. Petri and Volonte are a magical cinematic partnership.
