my only concern with this restoration is the whole process of getting it registered in georgia, obviously you guys are friends with dan and his whole build series with his duramax had a lot of hiccups with the registration process. I would definitely talk to him about all the details of keeping records of what gets fixed and everything else. He said he almost had to start over because the truck was repainted before showing proof certain things were fixed, just be careful. Really excited congrats to jess!

I knew y'all were gonna get married sooner or later. But talk to Dan about getting the C8 rebuilt. He'll tell you first hand. GA is one of the most hardest states to get a vehicle certified rebuilt. I really think that'll be y'alls only issue getting it done. Save every receipt you can and make sure you document every single repair before and after that y'all do so that why the inspection place doesn't try and screw with y'all

Was hit by an unseen small suv while crossing a road in fw indiana, sunday april 14. Solid car, my dad's baby. He has had his fair share of corvettes. Insurance was nice enough to store it inside while waiting for adjusters so it wouldn't be ruined.

What a well built car by chevy too. The rebuildable crumple zone took a massive blow and saved the frame and the rest of the car. Even the frame parts that could easily be replaced if damaged that won't have to be. Like they did an amazing job building this car.

As someone who is currently going through a rebuild process on my 2008 LMM Duramax, the whole reason I bought the truck is because I thought the frame was straight (after an in person inspection) and it in fact was not. Definitely get the proper measuring tools, use Dans corvette even as a reference for measurements and make sure it’s all actually straight. But also as someone who is doing a rebuild it’s an entirely different experience and definitely let her drive it without the front end 😂 I’ve been daily driving mine without a front end for the better part of 4 months and it’s awesome. The feeling I get when I drive it and realize how far it’s come is also on another level. From what I can tell you will absolutely be able to rebuild it and I’m super excited to watch it!
