the VW guys you speak of are lying when they say they don't no anything about it being a commercial van. This will only ever be a people carrier/mini bus. They already know that the next VW commercial Transporter is just going to be a rebadged Ford Transit, built by Ford in Turkey. Problem is it will probably come with Ford's wet-belt Eco-Boom engines. Good luck with those 40k timing belt changes.

Looks great, if you're in the market for a minicab. Can't see anybody who likes actual transporters wanting this. But if you want an MPV I'm sure it will be fine. No worries though I'm sure everybody is looking forward to the transit based transporter though

T5 with the 2.5 was the best version ngl

I do have faith that you'll make a good looking spec but as it stands from factory everything about it is pants! The biggest mistake VW made with it was to give it the title of a "transporter T7" when really it should have been branded a Sharan Multivan. Probably extremely nice to drive but in my mind an expensive taxi ☹️... A shame.

Shouldn't have to add thousands of pounds to an expensive vehicle to make it look NICE !!!!, it looks SHIT and that's it !!!

I think VW have done a great job with the T7. Incredibly flexible, smart looking, nice dash and the rear seating rails are brilliant. One solid colour, bigger wheels and other detail changes = a winner. Cannot wait to see what you come up with. Cheers from Australia.

Vw commercial have lost me as a customer.. they can't supply vans- so had to get 8 fords. Then this multi van abomination which is too small. The seat position too low, looks totally ugly, difficult to get into side door can't carry 7 people and their luggage and takes everything which is good about the transporter / Caravelle platform and bins it.. then we terrible new ford transit Vw Van.. This will go down in history as VW's "new coke" moment... Only the ID Buzz is worth looking at but then they take too long to get the make the LWB GTX.... 😢😢

I am so fed up with buying T5/T6/T6.1 for business van. Even ordered a Transit and tried to love it but refused delivery as it was just so uncomforatble and cheap feeling. When are they going to bloody well launch the T7 Commercial and finally dump the T5 platform.

You’re so off the mark here, this is purely a car..no Transporter commercial replacement as this is an additional vehicle to the expanding range. Ford are building the next Transporter replacement for 2024-ish.

The Van will be Ford based, the Multivan looks very good already. Just people hate change, especially when the VW van has been the same since 2003

I do t think there will be a commercial version of the multivan. The next transporter will be a rebadged Ford transit custom which will already be smaller than the current T6.1. I think the closest you’ll get to a multivan commercial will be the ID Buzz cargo.

I watched a comprehensive review elsewhere on these, where they measured the interior. My Caravelle Executive appeared to have more interior length, width and height. So not sure how people say these are "bigger". But a 2.0 TSI Hybrid would be appreciated I think. I REALLY hope they do a Caravelle on the T7 (T7.1?) Commercial platform, as I don't want to compromise on interior space. And that table. Looks more useful as cup holders for the front. Not as handy as a table to eat off I'd think.

Im looking to buy a T6 possibly a T6.1 in around October….. i hope the T7 CV is out before then so the price on the 6/6.1’s drop in time for my purchase 😝 but we know that wont happen yet really …….. i think every new model takes a bit of getting used to and i dont think it looks too fugly ?

This is the Chinese Sharan, marketed under the T7 name in Europe. There will be no commercial version (makes no sense), they'll keep the T6 instead.

In December my dealer has informed me that no more 4 motions to be ordered , there is no ford and Vw deals to be done whatsoever and the new proper commercial van will be a T8 after 2024

It's so small, it is a car sized platform, you shouldn't be able to see over the top of a van. Hardly any bigger than a Citroen Picasso and looks a bit like one at the front ? Stop press, I've realised what it is now. Do you know what has happened over the years to Mars Bars. They had the choice of putting the price up and keep them the same size, or make them smaller, because ingredient prices had risen so much and charge the same. Is this the van version of a Mars Bar ?

Do you know what the engine code is in the 2,0 tsi.? EA888 gen3?

So the longer T7 is the quoted length for the lwb ID Buzz, wonder if they'll be a pure EV version as this is the one that's being shared with Ford and built in Turkey from next year.

The next t7 cargo will be a rebadged co developed new transit custom both developed together but to be built by Ford in fords factory in Turkey and will be on the market early next year and both will share fords all newly developed Diesel engines

Why oh why isn’t the ID Buzz using this seat rail system? Fixed seats just goes against the entire design ethos. Fingers crossed the long wheel base version will utilise them otherwise this Multivan looks more appealing.

Go back to the comments on the T6.1 and they mirror the opinions on this T7, yet the 6.1 is probably the best looking Transporter to date. Same with the new Caddy. Still.... it is proper ugsville me thinks 🤔

lol if you do a few changes on it . it will be the front end that looks like an frans van the nose is to low and short and it needs an v6 diesel engine !! or i stick to my project t5 facelift to t6.1 engine swap from an a6 v6 3.0 bitdi

There will be a commercial version aimed at businesses within clean air zones and congestion charges. Toyota have taken seats out of a Corolla to call it a van and cash up on this market.

As I understood, this T7 will only be available as a people carrier. The chassis is not designed for commercial purposes, which reflects in its towing capacities of max 1.5 tons (whereas the T5/6/6.1, can tow up to 2.5 tons kg). The T6.1 will be continued till 2024/25 till it will be replaced by a derivate off the ford transit. I really hoped that VW would not dare to do so, but it seems that the decision has been made and VW will continue to use the Ford commercial designs for most of their commercial vehicles (Transporter and amarok etc.).

As a non-van owner, but someone looking at a van, could this not be used as a commercial vehicle if the seats are removed? I do like the idea of being able to put all my gear in the van with the seats removed, but adding back in the seats when I need to cater for passengers. The fact the seats ca pop out is really attractive to me

I still think standard t6.1 is not as nice as standard T6 but I like the modified t6.1 better than the modified T6. I’m surprised they didn’t offer the comfort dash as an option in the new ones tho

Just like the original LR Defender, VW T4's, 5's, 5.1's, 6's and 6.1's will all become more desirable and expensive once VW brings out its replacement. I feel pretty sure VW won't stray too far, design wise, from its competitors offerings, and hopefully the next one won't be anything like this T7, and continue to attract loyal Vdubbers🤟Just my thoughts and thanks for the great video👊

The Ford Transit tourneo which is released on the 8th looks way better and more aggressive out of the box.

Rumours change all the time; from the German publications I've read, there will not be a commercial T7 Multivan, as that is being saved for the join Ford/VW project for 2025, and VW have already said they are't rushing to replace the T6.1 as it is because its selling so well (still have 18-24 month waiting times) maybe, there will after all be a commercial T7 Multivan as well as a T7 cargo van. The point of this multilane as mainly to replace the Sharan. Guess time will tell, but I think these look amazing already.

That is not t7 new t7 will be made in Turkey cooperation with ford transit unfortunately

Personally wasnt a van nerd but last few years they are all i think about custom vans are where its at. Cant wait to see what you do with it your render looked pretty decent imo.
