As we continue our journey towards Crick, we take our tiny floating home up one of the last lock flights on the south Grand Union Canal, Stoke Bruerne. But as we ascend, we notice the lock-keepers start helping everyone apart from us... was it something we said? 🤔

My friend just came home from a time in Scotland visiting relatives. She purchased one of those fleece’s from a charity shop, it will be so warm to use during our winter (in the house). I love your fish and chip shops. We do have them but not as many. I was at one last night…yum🇨🇦. Like your music😊

OMG .. HOW THE Davey Jones can you NOT grow Strawberries? They grow like a weed, I planted them everywhere! mmm Captain need to teach you about PH levels in soil on boats.. :) Also when you cruising and you eat an Apple, throw the core somewhere nice as it may turn into an Apple tree with charger and everyfin. :) xxx Love you guys xxx

You did right at the locks, it’s a shame the lockies left you to it, but you can’t rush those big locks, perhaps they thought you had enough crew and knew what you were doing so didn’t need any help 😃 Loved the dressing up bit, we saw those clothes and didn’t realise you could try them on lol 😝 Looking forward to seeing you do the tunnel, we passed 6 boats when we did it … six!!! 🫣 See you soon! xx 😘

Thanks Wes and Amy another great vlog I did notice Wes was the only one wearing long pants so I gather the warm weather is not warm enough yet and at the museum Amy noticed on a model there was a man with no head maybe he upset the lock keeper as well take care and safe boating cheers Barry from Victoria Australia 🇦🇺

Our videos have kind of synced up (across time and space haha), we just ended in Stoke Bruerne before the locks! Those 7 locks are bloody hard work tbh, not sure why but they just ARE. Great to see the canal museum, we didn't have time to go and it looks super cute!

We did Blisworth tunnel on Day three of owning our Narrowboat (freshly blacked too). I may have zig zagged it a bit in the middle when I got too confident. I’ve also had the same feeling about hearing people talk about the canal as I’m walking up and down it and I’m nowhere near my boat so can’t even use that as a jumping off point. I’m pretty often dropping “I live on a boat” whenever I can in general conversations…!

Those Lock keepers are obviously Land Lovers and don't understand pirate boat people rules. :) I love it when these people sod off as you can get things done quicker.. Also Don't vote Labour as they have plans to cancel funding for canals! Look it up.. :)

I'd be very careful publicly calling out lock volunteers as ,if any watch this channel, you may find you get less help from them all over the system from now on 😢😢

We didn’t say anything disrespectful or mean. We really appreciate and love the lock volunteers on the most part but it doesn’t mean we haven’t had our fair share of issues with some of them and we think it’s ok to voice that respectfully. If they decide to not help us again on that basis then fair enough we can’t do anything about that 🤷🏻‍♀️
