I really hate when people don’t ask what name they prefer. Sophie was so nice for that. People don’t realize how empowering and nice it is when people learn how to pronounce “foreign” names.

It does feel like Cut was the catalyst behind the exchange that led to Gebilet leaving; asking Sophia to go on a bathroom break, asking Lu to explain again that he just asked Sophia out on a date, asking Lu "what about her?" which subtly prompted him to ask Gebilet out but in a way that felt like a pity ask. I think all this unnecessarily cast a spotlight on Gebilet being left out when that moment could've just passed without much fanfare and maybe the rejection wouldn't have felt so emphasised for Gebilet. I get that it makes for an interesting watch but it feels uncomfortable when it's at the expense of someone's real feelings. I'll add that this is all speculative since I have no idea how else this could have turned out if different actions were taken. Edit: For those saying it done was to make Gebilet aware of what happened when she was gone, Gebilet was already aware because at 9:16 all three of them had just spoken about Lu asking Sophia out. in this light, the producer nudging Sophia to go for a break and then prompting the topic again at 9:45 felt unnecessary.

PLEASE reunite Sophie and Gebilet. Even if only for a spill sesh about how much worse it got when she left🤣

Super strange that the director dude kept asking them to go to the bathroom even if they didn’t need too. You could tell they were getting annoyed. And he definitely pushed the situation that made Gebilet feel the need to leave. I think it was especially rude for him to say “wait, who’s going on the date?” and snicker afterwards as if he was making fun of Gebilet for thinking she was part of the date too. Even with all the other things he said, if he had never said that, the 3 of them could have had a much more natural conversation without anyones feelings getting hurt. I hope Gebilet is okay! Both ladies were super nice, smart and beautiful!

i think it was the “host” whatever you call the person from cut in this, really put gebilet on the spot by making lu & sophie say they were going on a date without her. i get this is entertainment but there’s a reason lu said it once gebilet went on a bathroom break... she likely would have naturally picked up on the vibe without the host forcing the situation. and had she stayed it would have been super uncomfortable knowing they’re on a date with 2 people that only want each other. :/

This was VERY interesting to watch how energy and interests shifted after initial attraction took a backseat as the date continued! Compatibility >>> physical attraction. Also, Gebilet deserves BETTER!

The host made it awkward by pushing that on him to ask Gebilet out on a date too. If it was going to go downhill by him being more attracted to Sophie, let that happen naturally. Instead, they pushed it and made it get to a point where Gebilet was uncomfortable therefore making Sophie uncomfortable. The point of these should be to nudge slightly but not push. If this wasn’t going to work out for all 3 of them, let it play out that way. Or maybe it could have. Once Gebilet was gone, Sophie was kind of looking for reasons to be less attracted to homeboy and once Joe Rogan came up, it was a wrap. I know how Gebilet felt, and it's such a shitty feeling when you sense instantly that you're third-wheeling in a social setting but you try to let things flow "naturally" only to realize you're just being pushed further out. I was really proud of her for just leaving instead of trying to "keep the peace." Lu is very rude despite his laid-back demeanor. He made it very clear that he favored Sophia and he could've honestly saved that for out of the box instead of letting his excitement over a new toy potentially blow someone's self-esteem. Also, unpopular opinion, Sophia wasn't innocent either. I felt like she could've done more to make Gebilet feel included instead of reveling in Lu's attraction to her. She lowkey played two sides of the coin and gave mixed signals to Gebilet all the while trying to look like Lu just went after her when she was heavily flirting back with him.
