We have made it deep into the Amazon jungle! The Amazon rainforest is known for its incredible biodiversity and stretches over 9 countries. It is home to over 10% of the known species on Earth, 47 million people, and over 2 million indigenous people. In this video, we are visiting La Selva Lodge and Retreat for a 5D/4N adventure. La Selva is located within Ecuador’s Yasuní Biosphere Reserve and on the borders of the famous Yasuní National Park.

Incredible adventure! When I visited Ecuador last time, I stayed in the town of Banos which was just an hour from Puyo - where Amazon begins. So bummed I didn't get to experience it but may just have to go back! Great video guys

Sorry if this is random, but i wish to visit the amazon and wanted to be able to speak with the locals. I was wondering if Portuguese or Spanish is more wodely spoken? Or should i learn a mix of both?

For Ecuador, spanish is it's native tongue though some may be familiar with English but don't outright expect it. Portuguese is mainly Brazil area but for kicks I am studying both.
