Hi, this is Sophie of Café Aristotte. Thank you so much on behalf of all our staff for featuring our bagel speciality shop ! I REALLY didn't expect this, if I had known I would have made an effort for the camera ...
Part of the fun watching your videos is watching how excited both of you get eating the food. Colleen's face says it all when she bites into these sandwiches.
Good to see you guys in the new episode. My dad passed away recently. He was a big foodie and a big travel fan. He could watch food tv programes all day. Last years; when ill, he only watched food on tv. His name was Andrzej, he passed away on 2nd of December 2022. He was a great guy. Best wishes for all of us in the New year. Life is a tresure :)
I always look forward to Saturday mornings and new Les Frenchies content! These sandwich shops look incredible! 🥪 I love the rainy/chilly days in Paris. Something just "cozy" about it. Hugs to you both! Le vie c'est bon!
I was born in Paris, and lived near the city most of my life. Your videos are delightful, I love how you enjoy the delicacies Paris offers. I'm seeing places I have known and discovering new ones to try too, subscribed!
I really love your videos. I lived in France for a year and visited often before the pandemic but I've been learning so much! I can't wait to put all your information into action.
We have been watching your videos for over a year using them as research and guides for our trip this week. We are in Paris now and are using your suggestions frequently. Thank you for your videos. Paris is a wonderful city.
I love your reviews and your expressions when you eat. It makes me hungry any time of the day. I am heading to Paris in 2 days to visit family and have been writing some of your locations down in your various videos. I love your zest for delicious food and life. Great videos. Very informative and very fun to watch. Thank you!
Hello, I just came back from Paris and I would like to thank you for your video guides and tips. Definitely made everything easier. What a magical experience! The pastries omg... I can't wait to go back!
OMG! such yummy treats. I loved the look of that first sandwich Coleen chose - that’s my kind of food - the bread, the smoked salmon, the avocado and the rocket ( as we call it here.). I never buy rocket though as my OH. complains it gets stuck in his throat! He doesn’t complain about much so I go with it. Great vlog both of you!
Hi guys, great video. I can hardly wait to try some of these places when I am in Paris this spring. Your very informative and your narration is awesome. I look forward to Paris in the spring. I will be there the last weeks of April and into May. My favourite time to go to Europe. As always have a good one eh!😁🇨🇦
Thanks for all your videos…I went to Paris in December and your videos helped me a lot planning my trip…I went to some of your cafes and restaurant recommendations and it was amazing…I love Paris! It was my dream come true ❤
Thank you so much for adding some special touches and favorite moments to our Paris trip. We watched your videos before we went and tried many of your suggestions! Merci!
Thank you for all your videos. I am planning a trip with my family this august and your videos are very helpful. Cant believe some people’s negative comments here. You guys are doing a wonderful job and have great personalities 😊
Just found your vlogs and think you are great. Paris is a wonderful city and you both take great pride showing us. You are informative, knowledgeable, and detailed. Watching all the vlogs you have published...MERCI
Maison Bergeron May 13 fabulous sandwiches and pastry, managed to get two tables for our group of three adults, six year old and 17 month old on a beautiful sunny day. Thanks for the recommendation.
OMG! You guys did it again! The bread in Paris, oh la la la la! My first trip to Paris we stayed in a hotel on rue Sainte-Dominique so we went into Maison Bergeron daily for our morning pastries but being a newbie to Paris we didn’t even know about the sandwiches there…😩
Next time I'm near the Eiffel Tower, I'm definitely trying that black bread truffle brie sandwich. That looked REALLY good !! I really dig your videos so much. I live in Paris and I get to explore all these eating options without having to catch the metro :)
You bring out the best of Paris no matter what circumstances there may be.... you lay on the table all options if one is under the budget of a huge food spender what's important is it is amazingly delicious ..you even cover the vegitarians/ vegan options... wow you guys are simply the best... thanks and more power
Both of you are Awesome! We are learning a lot! The videos and the metro instructions were amazing. We are visiting Lourdes/Paris later this year. Thank you for your work.
I'm sure if we were in these places together we would argue for hours about each others sandwich choices! Thanks for the video, insightful and interesting.
I have been in Paris for almost a month, I have watched all your videos...they have been so helpful, tried lots of food spots you recommended...and you were spot on. Would like to recommend to you lunch at Le Cordon Bleu, prepared by the students...it is very affordable, and taste is classic French, quite a variety, right off the metro. They offer classes to the public...maybe a new video in the future...I will look forward to, watching from my home in Florida. Merci Beaucoup!
New to the channel, and love everything I’ve seen so far. Never been to Paris, but your content is definitely helping reduce the fear factor of visiting. Thanks very much!
We went last year after watching ALL the videos. It was fabulous! People were all NICE. Metro took us everywhere. Prices were the same as home (California) Don’t let your fear stop you. Just learn as much as you can and then JUMP in! Happy travels 😊
Always watching your video about Paris. This sandwich video really got me. Make me so hungry in the middle of the night. I stay in Bali. We got some good croissant and baguette cafe too from French chef. Maybe u should come and visit Bali.
Seriously drooling now!! I'm so interested to try the charcoal baguette!! We are coming to Paris in late August if you two decide to do another meet-up then! Thanks for all the recommendations!
At 3:24 you can see "galette des rois" (Kings pie), one of my prefered French pastries made during Epiphany feast with frangipane (name of the Italian patissier of queen Catherine of Medici in the 16th c.). The tradition is to eat it with oranges or clementines and cider (or Champagne if you want) and to ask to the youngest one to go under... the table and give the names of the persons to whom the parts of the galette must be distributed without seing which ones, because there is a little ceramic figurine called "fève" inside the galette (so beware for your teeths) and the one who finds it becomes the Queen or King and receives a paper crown. You can see one on the right of the second bottle. The difficulty is to warm the galette (not in a microwave). I'm very bad for that but my mother did it very well and it was dilicious.
Every time I watch your food videos I say in my head “Why America, why can’t we have this amazing food culture!” Those meals looked scrumptious! I’ve got to sell some more homes and get back to Paris 💃🏽😊
It’s a cultural thing. We, French people, emphasise on food, meals. We take food in a serious manner. We often say: the Brits and the Americans never eat: they feed themselves. If there’s no demand from the society (the market) for quality food, companies won’t supply it.
its cause in places like NYC, Toronto and LA are already pretty diverse. They have more than one culture there! You can have all ingredients imported and dine at french, italian, spanish, mexican, ethiopian, lebanese, moroccan, turkish, pakistani, indian, chinese, vietnamese, korean, japanese, phillipino in our big cities. When I went to Europe, it was so limited in the options and flavour profiles
Planning a short trip to Paris. Came across your channel. Love your reviews!! Can you please recommend a place we can get Crepes for lunch near the eiffel tower or notre dame please. Thank you 😊
I'm watching this at night, reflecting that my lunch was a salad with chicken, fountain drink, 6" baguette, and cookie for about $18 at Panera's 😒 Happy to see choices in the Montmartre area. The streets below the Basilica have fabric and notions stores, an area I always try to visit😁.
Omg 😍😍 that food looks amazing !! I’ll have to write down the names. I’ll be a Paris in a few weeks .. . I’m excited but very nervous I only have a few months of French language lessons under my belt.
Antoine & Colleen. Question for you. I am planning for my July 3 night stay in Paris and finding your videos VERY helpful. Merci! The first 2 sandwiches you mention - salmon on Viking bread and the meatball - are a must for me to try (being Swedish). In Paris I also think I should try the one with truffles. My question is, can I find an inexpensive place to try escargot, or do I need to eat at an inexpensive sit down restaurant?
Bob Jour …. we LOVE your RU-vid channel! My wife and I are planning to rent an apartment in Paris for a month in the fall of 2024. We have a $3-5K budget for the rental. Can you suggest an area of Paris that would work for two seniors who love food, love to walk, speak a little French, and love food?
@@LesFrenchiesTravel Bonjour. Thank you for the reply …. is their a website that you recommend for Paris rentals or can you recommend someone we can call to explore apartment rentals.
You guys make me sick! Eating all of those goodies and here I am, in Texas, remembering my recent trip to Paris and wishing I was there. I love your videos and hopefully I will see you in my next trip to Paris later this year. Take care.
Those Sandwiches look amazing. Chicago is experiencing the mildest January. The Chicago Bulls play the Detroit Pistons in Paris on Thursday January 19.
Can you recommend a bakery/street food near Gare de l'Est train station. We are staying in a hotel that is very close to the train station, but only for one night.
Welcome tourists ! Prepare to leave heavier than when you arrived . Worth it anyway. :p Everything looks fantastic. But first one seems a little light on salmon and damned ... tomatoes during winter 😢
My wife and I are coming to Paris on the 19th which now sounds like will be a big day of strikes and protests. Any suggestions on how to get from Charles de Gaulle airport to the 3rd ARR if the trains are not running or limited? How long do these strikes usually last? Really getting anxious and nervous about our anniversary trip and hoping we can still get around. Difficult to find good information online on what to expect.
What's the story with the name "Aristotte"? I know that "Aristote" (with one fewer T) is the French version of "Aristotle," but I've never seen it with the extra T before.
