as often as you guys say “we’re such a small channel” only having around 30k, idk if you really understand the quality of your content. i have no clue whats wrong with the youtube algorithm because the stuff you put out is worth millions of subscribers. you and erik are literally on the same level of amazing to me and you guys have impeccable humor too its insane. i really hope more people get to know you because they need to understand the pure excitement that rushes through me every time you post and the laughs when you put cream cheese and reeses on everything. never stop for as long as you possibly can!!
@@andeatit2no coach Greg actually promotes low calorie sweetener alternatives. Not sure if you knew who he is but his cool book is basically full of sweets and delicious food that is low calorie high protein and high fiber
@@jasonyoung-lalumiere4828 I know who he is, I just got his stance on artificial sweetener wrong cause of this one video where he says it ruined his life. Sorry!
1:47 I’ve seen this over 10 times now but I can’t just get over how synched you guys are eating that diet Oreo Edit; they’re always in synch apparently
Happy New Year Pete and Nate! This video was great, loved the comparisons and stats which could be very helpful to those trying to diet, and kudos for the safety warnings just in case people aren't aware of the dangers 👏 Let us know as soon as you restart your patreon! Much love to you both ❤️❤️
Happy new year, Caroline! So glad you enjoyed it and appreciate all the feedback as always 😃 We definitely will :) Thanks for all your support! Much love!
Oh good lord. My stomach bubbled and churned just watching this. Impressive performance after a break in challenges though. If you can find it, the lilys filled caramel bar is certainly the best of them. My thought is, if you cant have the real thing, these replacements arent going to fully scratch the itch most times. So you're probably better off going without. A real banger to start the year with! Great job!
“Bubbled and churned” is the PERFECT way to describe it 😅 Not fun. The lily’s caramel is definitely their best filled bar! Their caramel standard bar and baking chips are actually our favorite as well - they just do caramel pretty good! The alternatives definitely don’t always scratch the itch which, while just being a ridiculous food challenge, hopefully offers insight into a few products worth trying as a replacement (like those quest birthday frosted cookies!) So glad you enjoyed it and we appreciate the love!
This was my first time round your channel and I had to subscribe. I always get nervous about trying new foods and I feel like hearing two reviews of a product is really helpful. Thanks.
i love how sarcastic u two can be😂😂 also it’s embarrassing how excited i got when u two pulled out the magic spoon cereal bc i just felt like every1 was LYING abt how good it was, now ik they weren’t😭😂 great (but crazy) video! rip to ur insides lol
Only a few minutes in but damn... that's a lot of fiber... RIP is right 😂 Another great video as usually but hopefully the recovery wasn't too rough! The texture is always what gets me on some of those foods so I'm grateful you guys mentioned that!
It was fun and interesting to see and hear about the general confusion of healthy. Loved the comment about people talking about chemicals not being healthy but accepting and loving the sugarvideos😄 also being on Keto the confusion of clean or not clean was so much fun😄 That made me think of an interesting theme...Just an idea if you could use it. Many eats a lot of chemicals, bad fat as palm oil and corn oil and sugar hidden by other names. All the hidden bad "food"(don't know how to describe them all in english:). It could be fun with a video eating different items but instead of listing calories etc. than be listing all the bad stuff hidden in the food. Don't know if it is possible to make it work, but could sure be fun and interesting 😊
Lol, we’re so glad you found the video fun and some of those points quite entertaining! We personally believe everything in moderation is okay and don’t prefer to demonize foods and categorize them as “good” or “bad”. There are loads of great channels out there who can help educate people on being aware of how to keep an eye out on what ingredients they put into their bodies but, again, just our opinion that everything is okay in reasonable doses 🙂
I forgot, you actually said that in the video as well, sorry for not remembering that. And yes their are many ways to find the information needed. It was more the fun part I was thinking of. The surprise of what is put into foods, and what we consume. But I get it. It would probably have to be done in an attitude of right or wrong in some way. 😊
this video was so funny, I loved it as always. I always enjoy your humor and honest opinions and how those two work together to produce such a hilarious and enjoyable video. I had a single bag of sugar free werthers original soft caramels not long ago and let me tell you. I was in the bathroom for hours that day 😂 TMI.. sorry. And that was off a single bag, I am PRAYING for you guys right now after that.
Oh there’s no such thing as TMI in this comment section 🤣 loving hearing other peoples aftermath experiences on their sugar-free adventures 😂 As you can probably imagine based off your situation, we’re never doing something like this again LOL! So glad you enjoyed the video and we appreciate all the love, Jeremy!
Lol, haven’t even started watching this yet but WHY would someone do this… the sugar alcohols will destroy your gut, even after a couple pieces. Prayers up for my guys.
Thanks for doing all the heavy lifting guys, now we have a good idea of what to get when we have a urge for something somewhat good on those New Years resolutions. 😊 thanks and keep up the great work, Happy New Year!
Oh my giddy aunt! I hope you two didn't have to share a bathroom the next day! That must have been ROUGH. I hope you at least managed a couple of 'safe farts' during the aftermath LOL. Seriously, though, thank you for doing this vid in the new year because, like you said, some of us are trying to eat a little bit healthier after all the gluttony of the holidays, and so having options to try (in MODERATION ha ha!) is really useful. But, boy oh boys, that was going far and above the call of duty. I'd actually think massively overindulging on sugary full-fat goodness would be less uncomfortable afterwards than overindulging on sugar-free, synthetic sugar-alcohols, sweeteners and the like would. I sometimes think diet foods are worse, but in that quantity, they must be. Please look after yourselves. 2023 is going to be the year you hit it big on here. I can feel it in my water :) Stay safe. Love Keira
Haha, we are truly blessed to have two toilets in the apartment because one of us would have been using a bucket otherwise 🤣 We’re so glad you found the video somewhat helpful and we wish you nothing but success in finding the perfect balanced diet you can stick with this year 🙂 Some of these are definitely worth trying in MODERATION 😁😅 Thanks so much for the love and kind words, Keira!
R.I.P to your taste buds and gut Pete and Nate😫I can't imagine how awful you must have felt after this and I commend you both for going through it all 🤢 interesting way to start the year, but hopefully next week you'll treat yourselves BIG TIME and get all the goodies you deserve 😋Take care and rest up Takedown twins ❤
i'd rather eat the regular in moderation too. most people who buy this stuff think its a sub for overreating the regular so they overeat the diet food defeating the point of buying it. if the chemicals in processed food is killing us, the diet food industry is pulling the trigger while the full fat versions are keeping us alive longer.
i've never understood why they don't just split one thing or try a bite or two and instead each eat an entire product. doesn't that make everything way more expensive and also harder on their stomachs?
magic spoon is the greatest advertisement scam ever. They're like 20 dollars a box and any REAL NOT PAID OR SPONSORED review you look up says they taste really bad...
In the first fifty seconds of the video what blew my mind is when they sped up the footage of eating the ice cream sandwiches they both took bites and finished at the same exact time 🤯
I use premier protein shakes to create my own. I add peanut butter powder, a bit of cocoa powder, and some ice and throw it all in a blender. I turn it into to something much better 😁
I’m having flashbacks to when the Olean potato chips debuted… eating a whole bag and then not being able to leave the bathroom for two days… that was about 20 years ago!!!!
I am watching you guys for a week. I have one question. How do you guys eat all the things with such ease and passion? Love your content. Love from Bangladesh.
So broad you enjoyed, Alisa! Catalina Crunch seems to be known for their cereal options (we’ve never tried) but apparently do more as we found out shopping for this! 🙂
@@TheTakedownTwins I had been looking forward so much to a new video from you and this did not disappoint:) you guys are so much fun to watch. (and similarly I also have been disappointed with the small amount of quest potato chips in a bag). Happy new year! Thanks for making my Friday!
For the vast majority of people, what makes their diet/daily way of eating "healthy" or "unhealthy" is not necessarily what they eat, but how much they eat, by that I mean an energy/nutrient surplus resulting in the accretion of adipose tissue, which if accumulated to an excess is almost always deleterious for one's wellness in the long-term, resulting in many chronic, progressive disease states (e.g. metabolic syndrome, cancers, autoimmune disorders, musculoskeletal problems, sleep apnea, brain/psychological disorders, etc.). In all RCTs with human subjects, when controlling for important variables (e.g. calories equated and protein intake equated), the CICO matters more than whether someone is on some fad diet when it comes to body composition outcomes, especially. Excess adiposity (much as extreme lack of fat) drives many hormonal and cytokine changes in the body that are a problem for most people. Many people overeat foods simply because they are hyper-palatable and low-satiating, not that sugar or fat is uniquely independently fattening or addictive; it's simply so tasty/pleasurable that we are driven to overeat them. If a "diet" food is less tasty, that may help someone moderate intake. If one actually finds these "diet" foods to be hedonically rewarding such that one overconsumes them, it will be just as much of a problem as "normal" foods one tends to overconsume. There are some studies showing that higher fiber diets have many benefits, so at least these foods often have more of that going on. Obviously, the most affordable and best way to have a sufficient protein, fiber, and micronutrient intake is whole vegetables, fruit, meats, nuts, some dairy, etc., prepared simply by you so you know what's coming in. It won't be as delicious as "bliss point" designer foods and restaurant foods (they simply use the same combination of fat, sugar, salt, etc., to make their foods nummy as food factories do). Make your nutrient intake balanced with your needs, don't chronically overconsume, and you'll be good.
I'd just like to agree. Sugar is definitely best in very moderate amounts but it isn't the devil. Artificial sweeteners however are increasingly looking really dodgy or at best just disconcerting. Hypersweet sugar dupes seem to taste wrong in some way, too and aren't fixing any issues with an over-sweet tooth...a little bit of natural for me, please. And I won't get started on low-fat; bye-bye fat-soluble vitamins👋. And low calorie being mistaken as synonymous with healthy...I f**king loathe diet culture.
I just found your channel, I am a runner so I have eaten diet junk food, but mine are mostly similar to the 90s like low fat frozen yogurt and low fat muffins : )
Definitely not bad! But quite the hefty price to dish out for “not bad” lol. The aftermath video would be a 24 hour static shot of a bathroom door and not much else 😅 We’re better off without it. So glad you enjoyed the video!
You guys are crazy but I thank you for trying all of these snacks. I’m looking for some new low carb, low calorie, high protein and fiber snacks. I wonder what are your thoughts on the “keto” gummy treats??????
R.I.P. 😂😂 I guess we won’t be seeing a new video for a while😅I hope you have more than one bathroom!!!!😮 I was waiting for you to say that the Atkins coconut bars tasted like soap! That was my thought when I tried them, really disliked them and magic spoon ughhh, hated it😂 Great job, i think i’ll try the birthday cake cookies! Keep up the good work! I think I could hear you guys farting from over here in Johnston LMAO😂😂 just kidding… see you next time👍🏻👍🏻
PSA: catalina crunch is way better than magic spoon. I like magic spoon & definitely agree with all the sponsors who say it's good, but i'd recommend everyone compare it to catalina crunch. they straight up have me in a choke-hold ive been eating it for breakfast everyday for literally like a year and it never gets old. ALL flavors are good. cinnamon is probably top, but all the chocolate themed ones are a must.
