Such a jerk move of Josh, trying to take credit for something considerate Ollie thought of. BUT Josh did the right thing culturally. Ollie should have had the foresight to buy snacks for the other kids (knowing that they will feel left out) and this makes Josh look bad in comparison. I feel like there will be moments like this where Josh does save Ollie's ass at the expense of being an ass to Ollie.

I do believe that Josh has all of those too. But you're right, These things shine a lot from Ollie.

I would still watch it but Ollie does give the entire series a nice sparkle to it.

The difference is Ollie doesn't take himself too seriously. He is just funny loud and authentic and that's amazing!

The only class where I felt like the smartest student was in a beginner's ASL class. I had already taken 2 years of it in high school, so after a year and a half after graduating, I felt liked I needed to brush up on my ASL. I took a beginner's course a my community college. It was a BREEEZE, and I even helped another student (her first language wasn't English) along the way.

발표 ,프레젠 테이션 같은 수업 직접 느낄 수 있믄 수럽이 절실합니다만,작년까지 고3이었던 사람으로 말하면 그런거 하려면 조원간의 팀웤이 중요한데 문제는 학교에는 렬심히 하는 아랑 태만한 애가 섞여 있다는게 문제죠...맨날 배째라해서 혼자 조과제했던 모습이 떠올라 참 애잔해 보이네요

동.네.형.아 선생님들께서도 여러 사람이 모이면 집단적 이기심이 더 강해져서 무임 승차는 꼭 생긴다는 사실을 알면서도 꼭 수행으로 내시더라구요 일개미들에게 실험을 해봤는데 만약에 100마리 중 30마리가 일하고 70마리 논다고 치면 30퍼센트만 일하는 거잖아요 그런데 200마리에서도 300마리에서도 일개미가 늘어나면 일하는 개미의 수가 늘어날만한데 똑같이 30퍼센트만 일한다는거예요 (이런 맥락인데 수치는 기억이 안나서 임의로 적어봤어요) 그냥 본능인듯...

감동동란 저도 그 마음 이해해요. 제가 수능을 봤을때는 십년도 더 전이지만 특별한 꿈도 없었고 그렇다고.공부를 잘 한것두 아니었고요. 해놓은게 없으니 마음만 조급했고요. 물론 수능도 좋은 결과두 아니었지요. 그런데요 지나고보니 수능이 제 인생의 큰 부분이 아니더라고요. 그냥 중고등학교 같이 보낸 친구들과의 추억등이 더 남고 정작 나에 대해 알아가는 시간을 격은 건 몇년 후였어요. 자신에게 시간을 주세요. 그리고 조금이라도 관심가는 게 있으면 그냥 해보세요. 해보지 않으면 이게 나한테 맞는지 모르니깐요. 뻔한 말 같지만 고생했어요. 정말. 남은 기간동안 더 하려고 하지말고 갖고있는 지식에 대해 점검해보고 자신을 다독여주고 올리가 말한대로 깊게 숨쉬세요. 매일매일 하루 일분만 이라도 작은 명상하면서도 좋고 집 주위 공원을 걸어도 좋아요. 심신안정에 좋은 캐모마일차나 시험당일에 로즈마리차를 가져가도 좋고요. 정말 정말 고생.많았어요. 학창시절동안. .. 공부때문에 마음껏 편히 놀지도 못하고. 후회없는 수능치르길 바랄게요. 🌿✨✨

A year later, I'll send some anonymous Internet hopes you were able to create a way forward, through your 2020. To date, all of my major life education and career plans have failed/ended within a few months or years (I finished college 22 years ago, graduate business school 14 years ago). After 3 or 4 failures (including some business ventures), I found comfort and motivation in the saying, "Not dead, can't quit." It's short and fast, easy to say out loud in 2 seconds, to motivate me to sit up out of bed, when I need to start filling out a job application I know I'm not well-qualified for, or even in the last moment when I'm afraid to click on a Submit button. Better to try our best, then deal with the results of failure, than to not try. Of course, easier said than done! :P In the US, the college system is almost designed to NOT give many students a clear direction or plan. More flexible, but less direction. It often creates a looser and larger feeling of slow, existential dread over years of job-seeking or choosing college fields of study rather than sharp, precise intervals of stress due to specific critical testing events (even if a student does badly on the SAT/ACT here, it won't 100% prevent them from trying to pursue many specific careers or jobs). Even with that kind of flexible opportunity (and risk of uncertainty), we can still feel some stress when any big or small plan we attempt fails. I'm not sure I can accurately imagine how much harder the pressure is with explicit and rigid planning in Asian education and culture. (I'm Asian-American, US-born, so I think mostly as an American) Best of luck!

Exactly. They must be the best or face crazy pressure at home. Not good enough here to speak just English and play an instrument. They need perfect grades, volunteering, English, sometimes chinese, an instrument and some other unique skill to stand out here. Pressure for kids is unbelievable here.

It's the same all over Asia.. There is way too much pressure for the perfect grades. I'm just happy the English problem doesn't exist in India, it's practically our first language.

Basically all the Asian countries...
