Great advice. I love that you seek to provide us with practical knowledge and skills. For those of us who want to be able to entertain our family and friends, you are the MAN!!! 🙏 THX!!
Interesting concept and I’ll give this shape a try. For some reason I have the most trouble hitting a Bminor barre chord rather than the F#. Regarding the D-18, I have one and for the second time it needs to go into the shop because the binding comes loose at the waist. Some research indicates it’s a problem some others have had with this model.
Look up "normal" beginner F minor chord and its a barr (133111) if you drop the middle root F a whole step, it becomes Fm7 (131111) . Sean is ignoring the string with the 5th of this chord as well (the "3" fret) so just playing shell (1x11xx) - its just the super relevant sounding notes
You know will change your guitar playing knowing the fretboard inside and out knowing all the chord shapes put in about 100 thousand hours and then maybe you'll be alright
@@kaushalsuvarna5156 it all Depends on how serious you are about becoming a good, or great guitar player. If you just wanna strum, some cowboy chords and play some songs for yourself, and other people you’re fine.
@@StumblebumBand agreed but it's boring as heck and, like you said, I play mostly to pass time while I'm singing a bit, not learning guitar guitar per se Having said all this, that's where Sean Daniel has been instrumental to people like me, he slips in theory and techniques while focusing on practical things
@@kaushalsuvarna5156 Yes Sean’s lessons are way Dope!!I have Learned a lot from him!! I was a lead singer, all my life, but started playing guitar after retirement a little over 4 years. I am on a mission to be as good as I possibly can be. I soak up every bit of learning that I can get my hands on. I have been on stage with some very formidable guitar players. I will not settle for being half ass, because I know What a great guitarist sounds like?
@@StumblebumBand They defiantly value sean or they wouldnt have sent it...but the cost is probably lower then you would think. It's essentially a sponsorship they'll get write offs and what not
Anyone care to explain why we dont just play Fm7 as a barr with that C? (131111) - is this video just mainly for beginners unable to get a full barr? (Not sarcasm here, honest question)
Talked about this a little on the QA i just posted today. I think it's generally aimed more for beginners, but I think there are more useful ways to play that specific chord.
Sean is great, but his lessons can be a little confusing sometimes. You might try Stitch method or Griff Hamlin for a different perspective and simple breakdowns of the lessons. good luck.don't give up!
@@RG-co4dn why don’t you qualify your statement with some examples of how his lessons are confusing? Classless move to comment on one teacher’s video touting other teachers.
