Wow. You did hint to us when we meet at the NEC congratulations on both the plans and retirement. Mine and Kazy’s turn next year for big plans and retirement watch this space. Love to you both stay safe and keep up the fantastic vlogs xx Kazy n Garth Adventures
Enjoy your travels, excellent content , I’m sure when and whatever you publish will be worth waiting for and provide all fellow travels with hints, tips and tricks to enhance our own travels. Have a great time
Amazing news! 🎉 We did our first ever motorhoming adventure in NZ. You'll love it. We loved Whale Bay in the North Island and also fell in love with Queenstown. My brother, Ian, tells me he's been in touch by email with loads of tips as he toured NZ for years. Best of luck guys! ❤
So pleased for you both. We quit our jobs a year and a half ago and tour around in our motorhome. We would love to go further afield than Europe and Scandinavia but we have an elderly cat in tow so we are stuck for the time being. But we can enjoy your trip with you. I would love to see the end of the European trip and then Norway. Maybe Andy you will have to be a bit less perfect doing your videos so you can get them out quicker and you don't fall behind so easy, which I am sure you will with all the activities and new places to see. Your viewers want to experience all of these things with you, so its going to be hard waiting for your videos coming out. Have a wonderful time xx
Most votes are for Europe 👍🏻😀 we've two more videos coming out before Christmas (hopefully) of the European Winter tour and then it's the European Summer tour. Hopefully without my day job I'll get to the point of one every week🤞😬
We did NZ for 5 weeks hired a camper and had an amazing time. Such a gorgeous country. So envious, looking forward to seeing Asia, have done it several years ago backpacking. Beautiful country and amazing friendly people. Enjoy
Fantastic news, like I’ve said to you before you will absolutely love NZ, the helicopter and hike on Fox Glacier is just amazing. Hopefully we will be going back in 2025, but if you think it’s expensive wait until someone insists on only turning left when she gets on the plane😟
Fantastic news. I nearly guessed where you were going. Ha ha. Love to see your European videos first, whilst we have snow scenes here. The planning sounds interesting and is as important as your videos, so all of it will be a pleasure to watch. Looking forward to seeing how it all evolves. Best of luck.
@@ExtremeMotorhomingAdventures I think I mentioned Australia which was wrong and decided to go for Morocco. We had a conversation about it but probably so did many of us. It all sounds very exciting, especially SE Asia. I love Asia but I would not want to be there when it is too hot. You are both extreme sports stars, so you will cope. What a fab plan! Enjoy it. X
Fantastic news, really chuffed for you both. Get the videos out now for what you have done if you can and start fresh for New Zealand? Whatever you decide, we will watch them all anyway. Rhian & Dai xxx
Brilliant news! If I were you id put out the videos you already have and then give yourself time to edit your new trip when you get back! I think it puts too much pressure on the trip if you edit on the road and you want to enjoy this one as much as possible! You have your live updates on socials, so just go enjoy it! 😊
Thanks - thats great advice, yes with even the best intentions I think this trip will be so incredible we won't want to do any serious editing for YT👍 Cheers..Andy&Michelle
Congratulations on giving up your day job Andy & on your big birthday celebration Michelle, I gave my Day job back in 2017 & never looked back. You will love NZ, we did an organised coach tour back in 2019, stopped in Singapore for a couple of nights the toured North & South Islands then a couple of nights in Hong Kong on the way back, you've certainly got a lot to look forward to - all the best Andrew & Karen 👍
Greetings again from a long way south….. it’s great to hear your news, if you have time please look us up while you are here. It’s always good to meet travellers from the motherland….. We are 30 minutes north of Auckland so you are welcome to stay when travelling through. We are both Brits who have lived in NZ now for 30 years. We have plenty of motorhome knowledge and NZ travel experience, so don’t be afraid to ask, happy to help if we can. Keep the great content flowing….. all the best, Richard & Hazel
Hi Richard & Hazel, we'll definitely be heading north of Auckland on our tour, not sure if we'll do it at the start or at the end (Flying into Auckland) if you PM us the town you live in we'll give you a shout a few days before passing😀
Congratulations what amazing news. Lisa and I have have just returned from Australia (mostly Queensland). We loved it that much that we have decided that we want to move out there, as such I have started the process to get us out there so cant wait.
Wow, what a fabulous trip….can’t wait to watch the vlogs…. I would say put up the Europe footage and get yourselves a couple of weeks ahead with the uploads, just to keep the pressure off a bit and allow some flexibility. Am excited for you both xx❤
Thank you yes we’re really excited to head away. Liking your thinking 👍🏼 and would be easier for us. So far .. more have asked for the European vids to start with.❤️ M&A
YES YES YES! Sooooooooo happy for this announcement and can’t wait to see all the crazy stuff you get up, definitely gonna be following along for the New Zealand tour, anything you wanna know about Thailand hit me up happy to help 👍🏻😊 Videos wise, I’d get the stuff you’ve got out at your normal pace, film film film like mad all the new stuff and then put it out after, take your time, the videos are gonna be banging and take looooooong so don’t rush and pressure yourselves. 😁😁👍🏻👍🏻🎉🎉🥳🥳
Cheers Daz… we’re Soooo excited! I’m bouncing around (m) like a Duracell bunny as you can imagine 😜 Now if we ask you about Thailand you’re not going to send us to the dodgy underground places are you ??.. 😂😂😂 I’ve listened to some of your stories remember 😉 Fancy joining us in Vietnam and Cambodia? Going to be a blast..
Agree with most, put your European vids on first please, we have recently upgraded our MH to a Carthago and are planning a few European trips next year, so would be great to get ideas from you two.
Great news for you both, you will have an amazing adventure. It would be great to keep up with your antipodean travels every couple of weeks to see how your getting on real time. Have fun.
Remembered you telling me about your NZ trip at Hermanfest.Lucky enough to have been there twice and you are guaranteed a blast. We also went seperately to the East and West coasts of Canada, the latter hiring a massive RV.Again another fantastic place. The Canadians are great.Very envious.Enjoy and stay safe.
Yes it was on the cards back then at Hermanfest, over the last couple of months we weren't sure it would happen so we are very pleased to get it booked 😀
Sooo pleased for you. We are the same age as you two and cannot wait to stop work and travel. We want to do different things to you as we will go full time in our motorhome and haven’t got your energy LOL. You put us to shame Anyway for the videos can you not show your older footage now even if it’s not edited as well as you usually do? Then start afresh with your new plans jan /feb? Also for ideas there is a really small channel which is lovely to watch Peg and Rob’s big adventures. They sold up in the UK and bought a van in NZ and travelled for months and did some really interesting things. Why not have a flick through their footage and see if you can get some ideas. ❤
Hi, thanks for the advice, we've just subscribed to Peg and Rob’s channel, will take a look at them😀 re the footage the European tour is by far the most requested so that'll be next😀, when I finish work hopefully there'll be time to increase the frequency of release, not sure I can bring myself to not edit in the way I do though🤣 cheers
Great news for you both, very exiting times ahead for you. can’t wait to see the content. More of your European tour before NZ would be my choice as Excited for that one after seeing all the Facebook and instagram teases 😂
Wow!! You two don't do things by half do you?!! Really looking forward to the New Zealand trip!! 8 weeks?! My goodness!! That's the trip I look forward to seeing. Congratulations on your retirement Andy! Have a great Christmas & New Year, what date do you leave for NZ?! You may have said, I'll watch again in case I missed it. Take care both! Sending love xx
Hey Anne.. thank you, yes we’re really excited for this one. A bucket list of destinations we shall be able to tick off ❤️ We head out 3rd week of January. Have a wonderful Christmas and new year. Was lovely catching up at the NEC x
We need to chat before you go to NZ about SE Asia. We'll be in Derbyshire from Dec 12th. Let us know if you need some info on some of the countries. Excited for you both. 😍😍
Sounds great, we did a 6 week trip to Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia in January this year, absolutely fantastic you will love it, New Zealand is somewhere we would like to go in the future !
That's exactly the same amount of time and the same countries we are planning on visiting. It would be great to hear about what you did as we are still in the early planning stages. Was it DIY, package or tours? Hotels/ Home Stays? we are thinking mostly DIY 😀 would be great if you could PM us some of your best bits from your itinerary 🙏😀
@@ExtremeMotorhomingAdventures yes we organised ourselves, be wary of visiting Vietnam when tet is on, nearly everything shuts down, happy to share our route if you like 👍
And to think that I thought you had ordered an L42! But your trips sound amazing, have a great time. Cannot wait for your vlogs. Personally I hope you finish your Italy trip before you go, but that’s just me. See you on Insta 👍
Hi, we did NZ in a motorhome in April 2019, try and make sure you go to Curio Bay, see the penguins and petrified (can’t spell) forest on the beach. South of south coast is amazing, don’t just go to Dunedin. enjoy x
You will love NZ, Just had 20 days (not enough time ) went from Auckland to Queenstown , then to OZ for a further 10days . Are you hiring a camper ? The ones available are not like 'Katie' . All a bit basic , there seem a number of Dethleffs around if you want to hire . South Island fantastic enjoy !!!
Marina bay sands in Singapore is amazing, a bit expensive but worth stopping 2-3 nights just as an experience, you can have a day pass to go to the viewing deck. Lee & Vikki
We've already booked our hotel in Singapore but will definitely be heading over there to see the Marina bay sands Hotel and the light show in the gardens 😀 cheers...Andy&Michelle
Sounds amazing, you will love New Zealand. I for one would love to see this summer’s European trip first as we are planning a trip to the Dolomites next year and you seem to find amazing places to stay. Norway and Sweden will be next.
Great to hear you are coming to NZ. Be careful about talking "extreme" when in NZ. We think we are the extreme capital of the world, some of the adventures certainly push the boundaries. We are at the top of South Island so you will go past our door twice on your round trip. I will PM you our details, we also are too busy to work now and enjoy life every day.
Hey David.. yes, extreme seems to be the word over there. Andy is very excited about it!! 😅👍🏼Im a little more reserved 😂 We saw your message last night.. thank you for that. Andy shall message you back in the next few days. Currently 📌 places and sorting out routes. Cheers for getting in touch with us with advice .. really appreciate it 😃😃 Speak soon
You're certainly going to the right country for adventure. NZ is a stunning country you'll love it. Of course I'm not bias at all... my husband and I are both proud Kiwis. Happy birthday and retirement. Would definitely like to see the rest of your European adventures. 😊
No need for bias when it comes to New Zealand! we've heard so many great things and seen so many fantastic pictures!! 😀 Almost everyone is asking for the European videos 👍🏻
Have a great time. Being able to take time out (not the R word) is such a gift. I definitely recommend it, although I have just decided to take a new contract in January, I find dipping into savings difficult 😂
Thanks, it's been hard to get to this point but still feel very privileged to be able to do it. I know what you mean about dipping into the pot rather than putting it in! 🤣 cheers...Andy&Michelle
Ah amazing - we did NZ Singapore Vietnam in 2020 so looking forward to your vlogs. you've got to got to got to do the Tongariro Crossing at daybreak in NZ. I will never forget it! Also Hoi An and Sa Pa are just beautiful in Vietnam. ❤ Wow so jealous
Ahh fantastic 😃 Great to hear! Someone else has mentioned Tongarino crossing.. it’s been pinned 🤩 We seriously cant wait having read all the comments with advice like yourselves. Thank you ! M&A
Wow your trip sounds amazing guys ❤ that’s a long drawn out birthday 🎂 I like your style Michelle 😍🥰 can’t wait to watch hope to see you at some point in the next couple of years 😆🤪😭 xxx 😘
I've not told Michelle yet that they don't do Aperol Spritz over there!! (I actually have no idea whether they do or don't!) 🤣 Sure it won't be that long before we meet up again 😀 x
@@ExtremeMotorhomingAdventures I hope they do! She could start having withdrawals 🤣 I was drinking them on Friday at our Xmas party 🤪🤣🤣 hope we see you guys soon 😍 xxx
That's great news well done. We will be there for six weeks arriving mid January but stopping off at Singapore on the way out. Never know we may bump into you. Would be very interested in seeing how you are planning it in your videos, I didn't want to do all the planning this time so put it in the hands of a company to do, lazy but very expensive. We were speaking to Michelle about it at the C&M Show at the NEC. Great news on your retirement Andy make the most enjoy it. Happy birthday Michelle the rhyming word should be 'plenty' not the one Andy used 😉
You never know, we may well bump into you. If you see on our FB posts we are nearby PM us and we can try and meet up 😀 the rhyming word wasn't planned I literally had to think of it in a second flat🤣 cheers
Amazing, from those places we did a Cambodia tour Angkor Watt is amazing, there are big tourist temples but it’s huge so you can get off the beaten track and cycle round. We stayed in Siem Reap at a boutique place called Montre Nivesha which was amazing, we also did the evening Vespa food tour…some of the food is EXTREME! Phnom Phen we did visit the Killing Fields and S21, words cannot describe the tragedy of the Pol Pot regime and it is not for the faint hearted. We also went to the Cardomen mountains and stayed at the wildlife alliance camp. This involves a bumpy drive, a plank of wood with an outboard motor across a river then on the back of mopeds into the jungle. We helped with a sunbear cub, pangolins, and wildlife various. Ended the trip on the coast swimming with bioluminescent plankton. I await the footage eagerly but patiently. Haven’t visited Vietnam. Have fun guys Peta & Ian we had a drink together in Dubrovnik last year.
Hi Peta & Ian, nice to hear from you 😀 wow your Cambodia tour sounds amazing. I'm just pinning all that info on our Map. The food is extreme? in what way, taste , spices ? Just a practical question too, how did you travel around Cambodia? is a suitcase going to be restricting? do we need to use backpacks? Andy & Michelle x
@@ExtremeMotorhomingAdventures hiya We did an organised solo tour so cheat cheat had a driver. We had a case each but when we went to the forest the driver kept our cases and we went in with backpacks. We could have managed with half as much stuff to be fair and laundry is cheap. The food is extreme because they literally eat anything. Bugs, spiders I could go on, I managed a silkworm crunchy on the outside soft in the middle, got a cricket leg stuck in my tooth and I was done, Ian managed a bit of tarantula. They really eat everything, move aside bush tucker trials! Wildlife was scarce until we went to the forest, I think during the Pol Phot era food was so scarce they ate whatever they could. The local food is not as spicy as Thailand but flavourful we liked the fish amok. I really felt I was somewhere completely different. I have an album on my facey, if you are interested. Vietnam is on my list, have the best time.
Sounds absolutely amazing 👏🏻 we are doing the lazy South East Asia tour over Christmas.. on a cruise 😂😂 100% recommend Norway and the Scandi's after doing them this Sept in our van 😀 looking forward to seeing the adventures in the New Yr 👌🏻👍🏻
Just reading through the comments while sitting at the beach 40 minutes north of Auckland 24 degrees 78 % humidity. You will have an amazing time here us kiwi’s are pretty laid back. If you like beaches the North island east coast are amazing and generally safe to swim. Central North island for mountains and mountain biking and volcanoes. Various wine growing areas around the country even Auckland. Upper South Island start in Nelson Marlborough region then head down the east coast to central Otago region. Then maybe back up the west coast depending on the weather it might be wet this summer. We can give you a bit more detail about some little gems of places to visit in the Coromandel peninsula
Hi, 24c and 78% humidity in Auckland 😀 it's very wet and stormy here in the UK! Just over 5 weeks and we'll be there! Thanks for the tips and please do give us some more details about little gems on the Coromandel peninsula 😀 It was interesting to see you suggest going down the east of the South Island and back up the West, I don't know why but we just thought we'd do the West first, is that a better way to experience it? Cheers...Andy&Michelle
We can't wait to follow this trip and hopefully it will be us in just a few more years. We have not been to Nam but Cambodia is amazing, definitely plan go to Siem Riep and the Angkor What temple complex, its like nothing we have seen before and is vast. Phnom Phen is worth a short visit and depending on the time of year and you can travel by boat up the Mekong to Siem Reip instead of flying (or going by coach). Bangkok is also amazing for a few days, the Grand Palace is stupendous and don't write off Singapore, while I am not sure there are too many extreme possibilities in Singers the street food is amazing. If you want to relax after a few weeks of strenuous activity Langkawi, an Malay island in the straights of Malacca is beautiful. We have not been since 2019 but it was very reasonable then and has some great hikes and waterfalls in addition to fantastic beaches and decently priced hotels. We have not been to New Zealand yet but my mountain biking Aussie cousin swears by it and has promised to show us around some time.
We have one and a half days in Singapore on the way over so we'll definitely see the big tourist attractions there, we've also been looking at the hawkers food, we'll also be giving that a go 😀 We've just googled Langkawi, looks absolutely beautiful, Pinned!! 😀 Thank you
Ahh thank you! No we don’t follow them.. don’t get much time but shall check them out. Shall be helpful for our research.. thanks for the recommendation 😃😃 M&A
Let us know whereabouts you live in New Zealand (PM us) given we are planning to travel the whole of the North and South I'm sure we'll be passing by at some point 😀
Congratulations on your retirement plans, although you are right to not to consider yourself tired , it's just next chapter stuff and it's exciting times ahead. The plans look awesome and look forward to you riding through the rice fields wearing a traditional Vietnamese cycle hat. 😂. We're pretty certain it will be epic joking aside and we'll look forward to watching the videos. Merry Christmas and best wishes for your travels Helen and Martin.
Yes, I like the "next Chapter" way of phrasing it 😀 that ride in the rice fields with the traditional Vietnamese cycle hat just has to be done😀 Merry Christmas to you both too, hope to catch up some time in 2024...Andy&Michelle
Stay on the DOC sites in NZ they are great if you like being close to nature. The country is really set up for Motor-homing so it’s easy. If you can spend more time on South Island than north and if you start in Auckland do north island and then head to south and try to leave the van in Christchurch and fly from there, saves you trekking all the way north again. Have a great time.
Thanks Richard , that's a good call on the DOC sites, yes we do prefer the close to nature sites. We've got a rental to and from Auckland so we will be trekking back but hope to do a loop and not cover the same ground twice😀
30 years old plus VAT. Definitely a cause for a celebration. We were worried for a moment and thought you might be emigrating and we wouldn't see you again 😪 we must make sure we get a date in the diary for when you get back 😃
I like the way you’ve put that.. much better than 50 😂 We definitely couldn’t leave the UK.. too many wonderful friends and family for that to happen. Shall definitely get a date sorted once back.. home for summer before we depart once again 😃🎉🥂 Cheers you lovely pair M&A
Flipping awesome news 🤩 This is exactly what we have planned also🌍✈🚆🚐❤(although technically we already started about 8 years ago) 🤣 Covid years dented our big travels tho🦠😤 All the places you mentioned in Vietnam and Cambodia are brilliant and we would suggest Hôi An as well.. Also try and time yr visit to Sa Pa to when the terraced rice fields are at there best as it makes it more picturesque.. We also did a trip to an Elephant sanctuary in southern Cambodia, which includes a trek through jungle to get to them (not a touristy thing).. I wouldn't worry about setting a schedule for videos and enjoy the journey and release one when you can.. Your content is always worth waiting for.. Are you going to be more Kara & Nate or more Eamon & Bec 🤣 I also have a BIG birthday next year (60) 🤩 Yr gonna have the best time ❤
Thanks Ian, yes are so excited! 😃🥳 I think we fall somewhere between Kara & Nate and Eamon & Bec, for the oldies we probably do more activities than all of them together though so that's our USP! Cheers... Andy&Michelle
I want to see them all. We’re about to do a similar thing too! Cambodia is amazing. Definitely go there. And if you go to Thailand you will love Ko Sok national park and the floating huts and kayaking and hiking. It’s awesome. Literally! My favourite place in Thailand. For un under developed Thai island I love Ko Kood over by Cambodia. Blissful
Thanks for the tip, kayaking and hiking sounds great. Can I just check the name with you as google is giving me "Khao" Sok National Park, is that correct? Ko Good looks amazing👍🏻 pinned! 😀 cheers...Andy&Michelle
@@ExtremeMotorhomingAdventures yes sorry Khao Sok. We stayed at the Panvaree. They are all pretty basic but the lake is amazing. You can get a long tail boat from Cheow Lan Pier. We’re off there again in Jan and 4 wheel driving in Northern Laos near the Chinese border. We have a motorhome too and are off skiing in shortly. We live in France near the Pyrenees if you ever pass 👍
Wow Panvaree does look amazing, that's gone straight on our must do list! thanks👍🏻 A few years ago we went to Cauterets in our Motorhome, very beautiful scenery. I'm sure we'll be passing the French Pyrenees again at some point 😀
Yes we hiked to the lake, you’re brave swimming there, we had a competition in July how long we could just keep our hand in the water, managed about 30 seconds!! 🤣
Check Eurosullys for a recent Norway vlog. Getaway geese for NZ and Early retirement Wanderlust for a recent US tour. Looking forward to to seeing the recent Summer Euro trip! Enjoy your retirement Andy and your 50th Michelle🎉😊
Wow sounds grrreeeatt 50! small potatoes just embrace it. I had a funny feeling when I got to 50 and started Running & Triathlon it’s ok I’m cured now 😂😂. Have a wonderful Birthday. And Andy enjoy your free time 🍻👍
I think Michelle was immunised at birth against Running & Triathlon, that'll never happen but give her a bike or a mountain hike and she's very happy! I'll enjoy the free time being fun busy! 😀
That all sounds so exciting I'm really pleased for you. I'd like to continue watching the European trip to the end before New Zealand 😊. I spent 3 weeks in Vietnam for a wedding. I was based in Hanoi which I loved especially the old town, it's definitely an extreme adventure getting across the road 😀. I visited Halong bay , it was May so low season and not many boats, I think it would be awful in high season. My friend, who lives there says the best way to see Halong bay is to do an overnight boat trip because they go further and there are far less boats. Either way it's definitely beautiful but very very touristy. All along the coast there are some beautiful natural places that haven't succumbed to mass tourism I think if you can organise your own transport it's the way to go. The Vietnamese people are just delightful 🙂.
Hi Tanya, we'll be in Vietnam in April so hopefully just after the end of the High season and not quite so busy, it probably will be! 🤣 we've seen the overnight boats in Halong Bay , pretty sure we'll be doing that, it looks amazing😀 We haven't got that far with the Vietnam plans but I'm expecting it'll be more a case of taking public transport rather than car hire? It looks a bit mental on the roads! 😳
We were in Halong Bay in January (Chinese NY) and it was dead! We did a 2 night boat trip with some Kayaking. Great fun. We also did Hanoi, Da Nang and Hoi An. The latter is particularly lovely. Hiring a motorbike is a great way to get round.@@ExtremeMotorhomingAdventures
@@ExtremeMotorhomingAdventures for Singapore your can stay near the airport. Train to city about 40min and cost $2.1。hotel in city were crazy expensive around $400-$500.
Thanks for the info, on the way out we’ve booked into the Holiday Inn Atrium, about £120 for the night, haven’t booked our return home hotel yet, cheers…Andy&Michelle
Excellent news. Very interested in the future plans and methods. We have done most of the American parks in the west and they are special. Also west of Canada Ice Parkway Jasper etc fabulous. your going to have a ball. 🖕
Absolutely delighted for you guys. Happy pre-retirement Andy. And Michelle 21 again sounds good! So looking forward to following your adventures. I’m not the slightest bit envious of those planned trips. Whilst New Zealand isn’t on my radar, Norway, Sweden and Finland certainly are. Best Wishes David J (the big black fella who got the selfie with you at the NEC 😊🙏🏽)
Thanks David 😊 We remember you! The Scandi's won't be far down the line after this trip👍🏻 It was great to meet with you at the NEC for a chat and a selfie 🤳 😀
