We've seen this all before | Kingdom Hearts 4 Theory 

The idea of a mini game where Sora is working part-time at a fast food joint still lives in my mind rent free.

Fans: "That's... nuts." Nomura: "It sure is. It's too perfect. Who'd ever believe it? Which is why you idiots never saw it coming."

I don't think Sora has lost his memories. He seems to know what he's doing, and it seems he isn't moving just purely by instinct. I can't blame Sora for looking confused. Quadratum is different from every world Sora has been to before. It's an entire different reality.

I feel like KH4 will be a more focused game both mechanically and narratively. Especially because the team is working with a smaller cast of characters and has experience with Unreal Engine now. They can build off KH3 to make a fantastic game. In a narrative sense, Strelitzia will probably be an exposition dump character like Yen Sid. She didn’t have much of a character arc in the mobile games, so if they do anything writing-wise with her character in KH4 it’ll have to be written from scratch.

I believe Sora is going to repeat a lot of his actions from KH1 and 2 in Quadratum. Especially the self sacrifice part.

i still have one last theory about what if strelitzia knows master ava and they want to both help sora. after all we know ava "didn't make it" with the other masters, so she could possibly also be in quadratum.

This is an interesting theory especially that KH2 is one of the most beloved KH games of all time.

My theory is that Jiminy Cricket gets a Keyblade in KH4

There is actually evidence that Sora has already forgotten at least some memories- he doesn’t remember Riku’s sacrifice nor saving Riku’s heart in kh3. That’s why he says to Chirithy that he saved six hearts- even though we literally saw him saving 7 from the Lich exactly the same way. It’s also apparent he doesn’t remember Riku’s sacrifice when he’s talking to Nameless Star in jp (he quotes Riku’s words but uses a very bizarre impersonal pronoun that makes it clear he doesn’t remember who said it), and in the novel when talking to her thinks that she reminds him strongly of someone but can’t think of who- then quotes Riku’s words without remembering the source. And among other things, during remind Riku’s sacrifice is the tear in time- Sora sees everything replayed up until that point. Again indicating he doesn’t remember it.

Not only is the KH2 type prologue style, a very real possibility. I wouldn't be surprised if they also throw in DDD prologue mechanics, based on the 2/Data Quadratum theory. It gives the game a clear path into the memories from the Age of Fairy Tales for Sora, if he has to recollect his skills through shared dreams/ Data Scape resetting, much like Roxas. Brain + Ephemer introduction is just sitting there if Sora can awaken the sleeping world/ memories, and in turn, kind of meet his mark of mastery. Great theory

The idea of Sora having to drive a vehicle and being pulled by the cops is a wild card for sure.

i think you're completely spot-on about the kh2 parallels and for more reasons than you might realise. I'm not the first to point out kh3 is *full* of direct parallels to kh1, in both the visual and narrative sense. (the first one you get being when kh3's dive to the heart sequence has sora run towards an orb of light before being hit by a tidal wave and emerging on the surface of the Final World, which is an almost direct 1:1 recreation of that same sequence in KH1's CG opening, but with the orb of light in place of riku.) there's been a bunch of theory posts/essays/docs/videos on this, and personally i highly recommend checking out the Constructing Kingdoms series by VioletHowler if you haven't yet. the third episode in particular is about drawing parallels between all sorts of plot points within individual games and throughout the series as a whole. so i'm definitely not surprised if sora waking up in the trailer is gonna be one of the first scenes in kh4. especially if he is receiving roxas/xion/etc.'s memories through his dreams and it leads him to say "another dream about him" or something similar. plus if kh4 involves riku searching for sora, that's a perfect complement to sora's search for riku in kh2! it might even end with them sitting and talking with each other again before kairi's connection to them opens a door to bring them home at last. :')

I like to think that since he's in quadratum after using the power of waking incorrectly, that he's now inside kingdom hearts itself. He traversed through hearts to find Kairi, and now he's in the source of all hearts. The place the heartless crave. The "Afterworld" that all hearts return to.

My theory is that the MoM wants to trap the darkness using sora here so that it's completely removed from the world they're all really from

I feel like it's possible that the rebuilding of strength and memory is something anyone has to do when arriving in quadratum. Hence why Sora was found and gotten safe so quick. Also be interesting if Sora recovers unnaturally fast according to the others with striletia maby only having recovered during kh 1 or something from a sleep like ventus was in

I like the effort but I doubt much of this is gonna stick. The flowmotion example is already disproven by watching the trailer itself. He spins around the pole to reach the giant darkside and he runs up a building after stabbing the keyblade into the building and it has that little blue light to it. I'm also sure Sora's not gonna forget everything. He's in a new place sure but that just means his old powers probably wouldn't forget 100% and given that Strelitzia calls it an afterlife for them it means she remembers where she's really from as well as the other people that have also arrived there like the master and whomever else is gonna be there. So no reason for Sora to forget everything everything

I've been saying to my KH circle recently, no matter how many games come out after 4, KH4 has the potential to be the best game in the whole series. I wasn't a huge fan of the separate days intro of 2, due to the pace of the beginning and not really vibing with Roxas. But I do feel they've learned and its a very clean slate to begin with; especially how you have it structured in your video. I would say though him realizing he has the keyblade day 4 or 5 (maybe 3) would be the perfect spot. Having calm days to explore quadratum and ending with a string of chaotic days is perfect

I like this theory, it would make for a fun intro/tutorial/whatever for kh4. the data-theory could support Strelitzia being a data-Strelitzia, too. it could be a Jiminys journal type thing where someone has wiped Sora's memory and is teaching him things through a simulation before booting him out into Quadratum. or maybe Quadratum _IS_ the data world and the real world is something else. i dont know, i kinda just wanted to add on p.s. nice, with the phrase "slightest inkling" and showing the smash inkling 👌

I hope he hasnt lost his memories, that be just be annoying! At most I hope that all of what happens is Sora trying to get home and is fully aware of his friends that he left behind. If anything I hope that Ven is in the game, with Sora's and Ven's heart being connected for years I feel like Ven could reach Sora....the way Sora reached him and woke him up. Or maybe even Roxas !

Since i first saw the kh4 trailer, i thought Roxas will be there too. Cuz Roxas is Sora's nobody and in him. But i forgot that he got now his own Replika Body like the Riku.

Strelitzia did pass on in union cross from one of the true darknesses but she was also put into the data scape which is why people think this could be the data version of her but at the same time it could be her real self as well. but no I agree with you this is like the 7 days theory sora is asleep for 7 days and he will have a sequence where you probably piece up to what his dreams are which will future reference what's to come either later in the game or sora is told by telepathy in a sense of what to do or where is if it's not quite all explained by this strelitzia. If Hideo Kojima gets in on the writers' room, I would totally buy it that KH IV is secretly a new Data Sora in a Data Quadratum run as a simulation by Riku and Co. to find Real Sora, psuedo Animus Style a la Assassin's Creed.

This dude Nomura is about to eff all your mind's up, watch. Also the trailer is noting but VR to Sora, in terms of that giant heartless. It's just a game that was designed by Hero, remember? He's inside the VR but without the headset. That's all. It's not REAL in a sense to Sora, from Sora's perspective. In other words, Quadratum is just VR. Sora is stuck inside the VR Headset. You understand?

Chirity said "The realms of death and sleep touch, and one can't help the occasional crossover". Sora falling to Darkness really means he's just dreaming in the realm of sleep. All the Sora's up till now are not the REAL SORA. They are just replicas. Chirity also told Sora directly to his face "You yourself will cease to exist in this world" Obviously it wasn't a joke. Sora's main power is to complete hearts. Namine exists because Kairi's memories are directly connected to Sora's memories. Namine can rewrite Jiminey's journal. The Book of Pophecies is tied directly to Riku, and Jiminey's Journal. Maleficent WILL FOR SURE find the Book of Prophecies in the Box that Luxu summons at the end of KH III. Both light and darkness are "Cheating" against nature.
