Thanks you three for a brilliant video.Lovely setting and surroundings.Saw Midland 1000 at NRM in the 80s talking to an old man, very proud man,he was a driver of no.1000.Cheers for always finding something different for us to see.Love from Max to Bobby.x.
I lived in Derby for many years, and Matlock & its surrounding area is lovely. The Midland Railway / LMS is a huge part of Derbyshire's heritage. Great to see you up & about Rick, and to see you both enjoying yourselves and sharing your day out. Peak Rail has transformed itself in the last decade or so into more of a Didcot-style destination, with far more than a short heritage rail trip to experience. Good luck to all involved. I understand it'll be very difficult to extens the running line further in the future. Was that a DeLoren passing through Matlock at 5:19?? PS: Never underestimate the value of good commentary subtitles to inform the audience. Yours is much appreciated. Please feel free to share similar videos in the future 😊
Hi Stephen, thanks for your comment and yes that was a Delorean. We filmed our walk around the head at Peak Rail and that will be out next Thursday. All the best Rick
Hi there well it does look like this is the real thing mate :). You do go to a lot of show and get some great thing there.... But I don't think this is a new purchase for you lol!!!!WOW this is just so great inside and out. Win I was in England last time we went on an old steam train ride :). I sure did enjoy this ride with you both :)!!! Nice and a gift shop as well take care and thank you for the fun video cheers, mate!!!!!!
Amazing place to vist Peak Rail been there before. Great to see the small electric loco from Spondon power station,i grew up a few miles up the road from there. Take care both.
What more do you want, fine weather, a beautiful steam loco, the beautiful landscape of the Peak District , the antique shops of Matlock and running over ducks on the pond🤣, a perfect day out. And not to forget the army of volunteers who keep it all running, a big shout out to them dedicating their time and passion to keep it all running an maintained. Good to see they got all ages involved. And not to forget bob enjoying it all…
Another excellent video, liked all the various shunters parked up on your return journey. Ideal weathering subjects. I had a Bachmann ‘Bahamas’ Jubilee many years ago. Yes loved the little electric loco for bombing around on. You will have to treat your layout to a Midland Compound loco….
The loco is jubilee loco Bahamas which is owned by the Bahamas Locomotive society based at Ingrow on the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway. Cheers Rick
