Thank you for showing the real Zamora and not falling or judging the media saying it’s the most dangerous city in the world. We just spent two weeks there and loved it. We felt safe the entire time
Thank you for your comment and thank you for subscribing. We try not to feel afraid when we travel in Mexico we see so many beautiful places and interesting places by venturing out and we find that it is safe.
My wife’s family is from there. Her family visits there on a regular basis. They never have any problems . Most of the problems are drug or cartel related. If you are not involved with them you should be ok there
no guarantees, though. I don't want to be the awkward person that says it's fine to go, and some innocent folks get brutality unalive by thugs or something?
@@AngelicoCiudad I couldn’t agree with you more. When I’m in Mexico people ask me about visiting the United States with so many random mass shootings at schools and public places there I tell then that chances of that happening to you are low but however “ no guarantees that it won’t “.
@ReneRincon-gs6ui Basically. However, i just say "no quarantines" in very violent cities or sketchy roads in a nation (for usa it's Chicago, LA, Detroit, or Memphis). Many unexpected armed robberies, belongings looting, and get unalive. Always say "no quarantees" to such wild nations or cities so you don't become the awkward guy.
@@AngelicoCiudad While I agree with you , I’m from Calif and in L.A. it depends where you are at. Some areas are dangerous while a lot of areas are as safe as milk. I have many relatives there. The idea of crime in L. A. is overblown . Overall it’s actually pretty safe. Kind of reminds me of Mexico. Stay away from the northern border states. I have many relatives in CD.Juárez Chihuahua😵💫 . But Merida, Puerto Vallarta , Querétaro are overall very safe.
Wow! Zamora looks like a beautiful city! I’ll have to add it to my list of places to visit! The park you went to was beautiful too! And I LOVE your home!
Ran into your video and the title made me click on it. It's been 22 yrs since we've been to lake Camécuaro. We were visiting my mother in rip in Quiringüicharo Mich. My 6 yr old daughter did her first comunion then and the family took us there to celebrate. It looks so much different but its still beautiful. Did you get to know the legend of the park? The name itself is called the Place of Hidden Bitterness. It's a very interesting tale. Been to Zamora as well and I remember when the big cathedral was being remodel from the top since it had missing sections. Now it's open and it's beautiful thank you for taking us inside. Haven't been to Mexico since hopefully I'll get to go again. By the way my then 6yr old is in México now visiting Cherán Mich she's exploring it's an 1hr 30min drive from Zamora 😊. Thank you for taking us along such a sweet couple. Blessings 😊
My dads family is from there and i plan on going there next year and meeting them after 22 years of not seeing them next year. hopefully I get to do that
Great video! I grew up in central Florida and the trees growing in the water are cypress trees. We have them abundantly in both rivers and lakes. They also tend to stain the water a tea color. But they’re beautiful and provide lots of shade!
Thank you Paul you are the greatest. You don't know how much I appreciate you thinking of me and I really really really really really really really appreciate. Love Lori Are you planning on coming down ? We would love to be able to get with you and get caught up on everything that's happening with your life. We miss you down here.
Hi Jerry & Lori. Thanks to your videos of Jamay ,two friends of mine have visited Jamay 3 times and now went back for their Wedding Anniversary. 👍🇲🇽. Also nice you and Lori give to the less fortunate. Thanks. You both have helped the Mexican communities regularly and consistently for many years And love videos. Thanks for making your morning breakfast portion too. But of course you are up and about with your morning walks. And the Cathedral visit was beautiful. I love visiting Cathedrals in Mexico 🇲🇽* Forgot to mention-Beautiful City Hall too. Very clean City. Architecture is spectacular
Thank you for the compliment I'm glad you enjoyed my handiwork. I think in this next video you'll enjoy it also ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6XzH0A7BTO8.html
Yeah we were surprised when we heard that it was the most dangerous city in Mexico. I googled it to make sure that the person that told me it was right and it did say that on Google.
Hi Jerry snd Lori! Saw Lori at the park. She was with a friend deep in conversation or I would have said hello and introduced myself. Was wondering if you do anything special to keep flies off your food when you eat outside. We live in San Nicolas De Ibarra and we can’t eat on our patio without the flies taking over.
Jerry, the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Zamora is 107 meters high, or 353 feet. I was taken aback when you said 1007 feet. Whoa! 😁 For comparison, the Eiffel Tower is 1000 feet high.
When I made this video I said that this cathedral was over 1000 feet but somebody corrected me and said it's over 1000 m so that's three times what I said.
Hi Jerry. I'm Mexican and I have never heard that Zamora is the most dangerous city in México. Where did you get that information from. I have been to Zamora many times and have never seen any unusual situation.
I would have thought one of the border towns close to the States would be the most dangerous, because that is where the cartels transport drugs across the border
I’m from Michoacán and have relatives in Zamora. Zamora got out of control. I know people there who moved to my hometown to escape Zamora. I’m even surprised Jerry visited there. We avoided the city and only went into the bus station when We traveled in December.
Do you mean Michoacán is the most dangerous state? I know many people from Zamora. They visit often and have never mentioned having any issues. Regardless of where you travel, it comes down to the company you keep.
Lori: Spanish is somewhat close to Tagalog, Ilocano. Cebuano, etc. Make the effort to speak it and read it all the time. It will help both of you to connect with the locals. It WILL pay off.
Jerry, trying to reach you. Have emailed and texted. Would love to book call, however, we are in Costa Rica and not sure how we make the call. Could we Zoom? Thanks so much

I have a recommendation to help you and helping people is very important to me and I can see by your comment that you're not happy so here's my recommendation start your own RU-vid channel and then when you post something I can't type you a message and complain to you. In other words if you don't don't subscribe don't look at the videos don't frustrate yourself be happy that's my
When my husband and I lived in Morelia Michoacán , our Mexican neighbor told us to be careful visiting certain parts of Michoacan and Zamora was one of them. Even though all cities can be dangerous, I wouldn’t personally go out of my way to a city that’s known to be dangerous if I didn’t have to. We love Michoacan but there are certain parts that we won’t go to for safety reasons
What exactly makes Zamora the most dangerous city, and if it is, why would or should anyone go there?? Unfortunately Mexico is being taken over by the most militarily and financially powerful groups (drug cartels), slowly but surely. And yet Mexico remains such an attraction to Americans. If Americans want to get away from corruption, thrn going to Mexico is like going from the frying pan into the fire!
610 homicides in 2022, for a per capita rate of 197. But, gringos visiting Mexico are 20x safer here, than they are at home in the US. Just don't be competing with the cartels.
My dads family is from there and i plan on going there next year and meeting them after 22 years of not seeing them next year. hopefully I get to do that
