I have a suggestion for editing. You dont have to do this all the time, but its good here and there: If theres a clip from pop vulture you want to reference, you can just play the clip at the same time the person says the joke the first time, or it feels like the joke is just repeated. You can obviously play it muted, or with the sound lowered or whatever floats your goat.

Wow, it's been a while since I've seen this movie. Never realized how bad the art is in comparison to better episodes of the original series and its movies, or "Hey! Son Goku and His Friends Return!!", "DBS: Broly" and "DBS: Super Hero".

As garbo as the anime is with handling the movie visually, the content overall is better in the anime. Which makes sense. This arc had like 19 eps and the movie is without credits about as long as 5 eps. And Resurrection F is barely just over 4 eps long in movie form. And the actual anime its 9. Granted its got some dragonball fluff. But this is a franchise that i enjoy fluff. I wanna see vegeta take bulma and trunks to a resort for an ep. But the movies especially this one were spectacles. It had people watching it who in middle and high school would clown on you for doing so. It was an experience. Broly was the only one i got to experience in theaters tho

Even though Dragon Ball Super Broly is my current favorite Dragon Ball movie I still enjoy going back to this movie every once in a while as it introduced my favorite character Beerus to the series. Yea, vegeta hasn't gone ssj3...but he doesn't have to. His ssj2 is stronger than Gokus ssj3. They mention it in this movie and in Super as well. In fact EVERY single time Vegeta attains a transformation that Goku has, Vegeta is far more powerful in that form than Goku...the exception is SSJ Blue. While Vegeta is stronger than Goku when they first attain it, Goku is able to combined extra power boost techniques to pull away. But purely in terms of power in standard forms and regular saiyan transformations, Vegeta is actually superior. It also makes sense canonically that Vegeta is stronger in those cases. Vegeta was born with a power level that absolutely DWARVED Gokus. It stands to reason that Vegeta could be the more powerful character if he allowed himself to release all his stops like Goku does. Vegeta trains harder than Goku, but Vegeta has really only trained to get stronger...he enjoys fighting, but not training, he sees it as a means to an end, whereas Goku simply loves everything about training and fighting and everything that goes with both. Also here's another fact that may actually blow your minds...Goku has never beaten Vegeta in single combat. In fact Vegeta has beaten him every time they've fought or been at a stalemate. Which is weird because they always play it like Vegeta is eternally pissed at losing to Goku...yet he never has. Saiyan Saga, Vegeta absolutely bodied Goku until Goku destroyed his body and nearly killed himself with Kaioken...and others jumped in to stop Vegeta from killing him when he went Ozaru. So, Goku didn't win, in fact he was beaten so soundly that he couldn't even move. Android/Cell Saga they didn't really fight each other, but it was clear that once Vegeta went Super Saiyan he was far more powerful and potent than Goku as he easily decimated the android that Goku lost to (yes. There was the heart issue that caused Goku to lose, but even with that...the Androids have infinite energy and so 19 wasn't tired at all from fighting Goku yet got absolutely shit housed by Vegeta without any difficulty whatsoever and that's WITH Vegeta giving it a handicap by letting it steal loads of his energy) Buu Saga, Goku had already achieved SSJ3 which is at minimum a 50x power boost to all forms just achieving the state and even then his SSJ2 was even with Vegetas...albeit Vegeta enhanced a little bit by Babidi. So maybe you can cancel out the 50x boost Goku got with the boost Vegeta got from Babidi, either way Vegeta won their fight and wasn't in danger of losing at any point. Goku fought well but it was clear he wasn't going to beat Vegeta without going SSJ3 and he wasn't willing to do so. Vegeta win. In Super, theyve only really trained against each other and not fought for real. Though Vegeta DID manage to achieve Super Saiyan God without the ritual that Goku needed. He just seems like the more gifted warrior, just seems like something inside (doubt or fear of being inadequate or something is most likely) is keeping him from just running away from Goku in terms of power. Though Gohan clearly has more potential than both of them, as the Canon makes clear.

If Goku had Gohan at 16 and Gohan is 16 then Goku would be 32 years old and then Bulma could be 38 years old. However it's Canon that Goku had Gohan at 23 years old. Gohan is also 23 at the beginning of dragon Ball super / this movie. That means Goku is 46 years old and Bulma is older than him.... Especially because Goku didn't age for quite a few years whenever he was dead.

The more time passes the less this movie will hold up. The CG is video game level mid-tier and it shows. Love how they fixed those issues with the Broly movie.

I really think the dragonballs as a bingo prize was Toriyamas middle finger to GT. He didnt like GT because of the shadow dragon saga because of the "negative energy" stored in them. He said there was never meant to be anything evil about them. So how does he show the opposite direction of not overusing?.....bingo prize on Bulmas birthday and her using it for minor cosmetic surgury

To me, the problems with Didio are that 1. he put short-term sales above all else, 2. he thought of readers as idiots with no attention span who were incapable of caring for characters that took more than 2 syllables to explain, and 3. he was a bad writer in his own right. Under his leadership, DC had a tendency to 'write with death,' where the fact that a character gets killed off is supposed to do the work of making the audience care rather than the writing and the story. This is what happened to Stephanie Brown - whose death was editorially mandated over the objections of pretty much the entire Batman writing staff- to Sue Dibny, and very nearly to Dick Grayson. The sales potential of making Stephanie the first female Robin for real was a goldmine that was wasted on the short-term goal of having a badly-written event sell well for a few months because she was killed off. Reason 2 is why Linda Danvers, the best Supergirl and to this day the holder of the longest-running Supergirl series of all time, was treated as if she never existed and the Superline became flooded with Kryptonians who all have the same powers and little personality. He's the 1 who called the horrid Countdown to Final Crisis '52 done right,' and things written by him or that heavy creative input by him are almost always dreck.

I think I know why, in universe, people keep attributing Frieza's death to Goku: There's a theory that the Mandela Effect is caused by time travelers creating alternate timelines where what you only think happened in this one actually did. You'll recall, in the timeline Future Trunks comes from, Frieza is nowhere to be found. And Goku DID have a way to get to Earth before Frieza could do serious damage, but he just never had to use it before Trunks stepped in. Essentially, it's not just the people of that universe, but time itself being confused as to who killed Frieza due to Trunks creating the alternate timeline.

Or did videl become super saiyan because she technically has saiyan blood in ber? Eeither way wouldnt that also have been the first instance of a female super saiyan in the series? Also if a fighter had a blood transfusion from a saiyan and they were already strong could they become super saiyan?
