Jimmy Neutron is one of the most influential CGI cartoons from the early 2000's, Nickeloden and Viacom really went full force with this Carl Wheezer, Sheen Ultralord type show. Pants, robots, dogs, crazy antics. Pregnancy is even in this hilarious animated series. It is way better than we remember. jimmy neutron boy genius and the amazing movie that was nominated for an oscar.

I think a large reason behind Jimmy Neutron holding up so well is because it started as a Movie. Since it's 3D they just kept a lot the movie assets for the show!

I mean honestly I think it's moreso the writing. The humor is so on point even today. It definitely doesn't look as bad as it could be thanks to being able to recycle assets from the movie, but the 2001 CG definitely shows its age lmao

My least favorite part of Journey to the Center of Carl, is the fact that the "germs" are modeled after Bacteriophages which don't make humans sick and actually hunt and kill bacteria, and can potentially cure diseases that are resistant to antibiotics. To this day I continue to meet people who grew up with this show and think that Bacteriophages are harmful because of it. It makes me so sad that this show gave Bacteriophages a bad name. xD D:
