“Band Geeks” is one of S2’s greatest episodes and one of the best in the entire series. Not only the “Sweet Victory” scene is a great spectacle, but that may have been Squidward’s finest moments because he was very happy.

If you notice Patrick pulling SpongeBob’s tongue 👅 in his dream was a huge hint to the opening of the secret compartment of his secret box. Who would’ve have imagined Patrick of all people would foreshadow something? 😅

I almost forgot how "Crusty Love" is another good example of SpongeBob's justified anger.

This episode is easily one of the best in the entire show. Between both band geeks and graveyard shift, it’s a very iconic and unforgettable episode.

So a little story: When Stephen Hillenburg, the show’s late creator, passed very young at 57, fans of the show got together to have “Sweet Victory” play and an actual Super Bowl. During the 2019 Super Bowl, we thought we won, but it was just Maroon 5 performing as an animated clip of Squidward introduces them with a modernized animation of the characters in their band outfits and SpongeBob’s eager face dance. It definitely disappointed many fans, HOWEVER, the NHL made the idea come to life at a Dallas Stars game during the halftime show, playing the entire song. It was truly an amazing tribute to Stephen. 🥲

I guess you can say this episode was a SWEET VICTORY!!

Hearing Sweet Victory will never not give me chills. One of the most iconic episodes of all time. And to this day I’m still pissed at the NFL for fumbling on this iconic song so bad for the Super Bowl halftime show😤😤

Something that's been mentioned by Alex Bale's "Spongebob Theory" videos: Squilliam says he can't make it to the bubble bowl, but he shows up anyway. This was probably a scheme of his to humiliate Squidward.

Everyone talking about Band Geeks, but Graveyard Shift is such a classic too. When I was a kid, the villain from that episode was almost a real urban legend hahaha

Arguably the best episode in Spongebob history, I’m so glad y’all got to watch this one and enjoy it too. The band episode holds a special place in my heart as a former band kid, who still performs in a local band as an adult!

Secret Box, Band Geeks and Graveyard Shift (My personal favorite episode, Band Geeks being my second favorite), these three are all quintessential Spongebob. Chocolate With Nuts is the only one that comes close to the highs of those two for me. Although I prefer the other two episodes, Secret Box does have the show's single best quote, the immortal: "The inner machinations of my mind are an enigma." *milk spills*

In both episodes, SpongeBob is wearing the friendship ring, in the secret box when SpongeBob had to prove he was Patrick’s friend, and in the band geeks scene where he sang “ on the wind closing in” as he is pointing at the audience.

In the spanish and latin dub, there is a pun involving nosferatu. Nosferatu sounds like "No seras tu" which translates to "wouldn't it be you", so for years as a kid i never knew who that guy was because all i heard was "No seras tu" and it always tripped me out because he was never explained until years later that i found out about the movie nosferatu

Well when it comes to the embarrassing snapshot of SpongeBob at the Christmas party. There is a theory in the Nickelodeon community about that, awhile back either before or after episode came out. They use to show this animated Christmas short during the month of December, where different Nickelodeon characters from different shows like Spongebob, Rugrats, Invader Zim etc. We're hanging out at a Christmas party and it was done in the same stop motion style as the Rudolph the Red nose reindeer movie years back. During the short there was a scene talking about embarrassing moments happening at the party one of which is SpongeBob ripping his pants. So some people theorized that the picture in Patrick secret box is from that party. Meaning that the whole short is canon in the SpongeBob lore as well as all the nicktoon characters being in the same universe together. But again that's just a theory.

Band Geeks is my absolutely favorite episode of SpongeBob. It was back to back jokes and every one of them lands. Plus it finally gives Squidward and total win.

Around Christmas, Nickelodeon did Holiday commercials with all of their characters in the style of Claymation Christmas movies like Rudolph. In it you see a photo of Sponge-Bob with his pants ripped which is technically the photo of him at the Christmas Party.

There’s a theory that the embarrassing snapshot of SpongeBob is the picture they took of him in an old Nicktoons Christmas party bumper. I don’t think it was ever confirmed but I’m 100% convinced that’s the picture in Patrick’s box. 😆

Band Geeks has been considered to be one of the most favourite episodes by fans ever.

The secret photo will only ever be POSSIBLY known by people who watched a Nickelodeon "Christmas Special" block. The in-betweens of shows were basically a giant Christmas bash with all of Nickelodeon's show characters together. I'm still pissed, cause I remember wanting to watch it SOOO bad. Since it was out first year with Direct. My parents decided we were gonna go to Austin for a family Christmas, and that "all shows like this have a re-run." Only to get back, and find out it was one of the real first Story Blocks (Like Toonami's story.) And I'd NEVER get to see it.😂

The underwear discussion had me rolling😂 It's one of those things that rarely gets talked about cause depending on the person it can be kinda awkward but we all have strong opinions on it I agree with Sean that underwear is too expensive. I have sensory issues so I can't wear certain fabrics or anything too loose so I don't have many cheap options, best I can get is 5 pairs for at least $35, but 20 years? Nah man, for me it's 3 tops. And bouncing off Ruff's point about having more available, I believe that everyone should have at least 15 pairs, if not 20+ just so you have extras whenever you do laundry and don't have to resort to less comfortable options😅 At the end of the day, wear whatever makes your goods feel healthy and comfy

I can relate to SpongeBob taking out the trash at night. Most of the time, I close our clinic and take out the trash, but it’s scary being by myself especially when it’s the dark Daylight Savings Time and the dumpster is behind our building in an ally way near a parking lot and who knows what lurks in there!😬
