@@jalenellis3594 Different density of water or changes between salt or sweet water can kill most of the water creatures only few can survive the changes. That is why the botton fishes looks so wierd when the are bring up here.

And didn't SpongeBob come back to get Bubble Buddy to take him somewhere else? So he didn't help him either, or maybe the guy was already 'gone' by then.

Who says bubble buddy didn't try to help? He's just a bubble he probably couldn't pull him out. We don't know bubble buddy's strength. If you bring up him stopping Squidward's needle attack, you gotta remember Squidward didn't put much strength into the launch of the pin because he didn't think he'd have to against a non-sentient being. Also another reason to consider, is that the dude didn't mind experiencing "high tide" so he didn't care if bubble buddy did anything either way xD

I love of all the cartoons at the time SpongeBob was directly saying kill and referring to death all the time with no hesitation. In comparison to Avatar the Last Airbender where they substitute the words kill and dead like 30 times or something close to that 😅

The only thing I don't get is how Squidward pretends like he didn't know they were bombs. The pirates straight up said it was a bomb. And he's not naive like SpongeBob. So he should definitely have not been "tricked" into buying a bomb pie with all of the red flags.

@@candlestone5397 Squidward never said that he believed it was a joke. He said he had NO IDEA that they were bombs. How could he possibly have no idea when someone completely said it to you face to face? And even if you don't think it's a bomb. You don't trust that it's not poisoned or expired. They were random people who you've never met and they weren't selling pies.

I actually think he was pretending. Here are two reasons... 1. He took so long to reveal the formula 2. He put the penny in the self destruct slot Even if they're not good reasons, there are definitely other episodes where he's secretly aware of who he's actually with and just messing with them

After Plankton exited the restaurant, back to his own and his disguise exploded, SpongeBob said to himself “if that was Plankton…uh-oh.” That line indicates that SpongeBob was completely unaware that the Robo-Krabs was a fake. He even said that he thought the real Mr. Krabs was “a phony” at first. He also admits the fact that he is in fact naive in a following S2 episode. Further proof of SpongeBob not assessing the situation correctly.

Nah in "The Original Fry Cook" we learn Squidward is just too complacent and plays it way too safe. He has big dreams but he's not motivated enough to improve and go for them so he stays at the Kursty Krab where he always feels he'll have a safe stable job to return to. As oppose to the fear of trying out for his dreams and failing. He's scared to take chances where there's a big risk involved even if there's a bigger reward for succeeding. Jim took a shot on himself and succeeded but Squidward was not willing to take that shot.

Canonically, before Spongebob there were two other fry cooks we know about. Jim, who quit working for Krabs to pursue a higher career in cooking, and an unnamed fish we see in Truth or Square who really just exists to fill the gap between Jim and Spongebob.

People eating bombs that sounds more like something from a guy who was part of the mafia would say rather then the navy.
