Lol no. I disagree with the "Spongebob is is only good at making Krabby patties" discussion y'all had towards the end. Spongebob is insanely talented at more than just making Krabby Patties. Dude's a prodigy at a multitude of talents. He actually holds himself back by working at the Krusty Krab. But this Sponge has built so many inventions on his own. S1-3 shows you just how creative he is. Amazing sellsman, great artist with no training, bubble blowing extravaganzas, created a bubble friend being all on his own, he formed an amazing marching band overnight, he's ambidextrous, amazing singer, math expertise, memorization expertise, imagination, creativity, can play music using his nose, plays several instruments at a high level, can sometimes give Sandy a run for her money in karate even beating her from time to time, a successful stand-up comedian, creativity and an enterpreneur with his ideas such as Krabby Patty with jelly and pretty patties, jellyfishing master, heck even his one weakness, driving he can do when there's no pressure on him as seen in the episode where Patrick gives him the simplest of driving tips. And here he creates a wet floor sign in no time at all. Instead of critiquing the quality of the floor sign you should be thinking about how little time he had to build it. Krabs left for court right away, then his lawyer fell on the job and Spongebob had to scramble to find a suit to get to court just in time. He practically had no time to make a quality wet floor sign, so it should be more impressive how quick he was able to make this with the limited time Spongebob did have from getting a suit to making it to court in time. So yeah, Spongebob is very talented but he actually holds himself back by working at the Krusty Krab but that's what he loves so of course he doesn't care to leave it for greater heights.
“Fear of the Krabby Patty” is a good one. I enjoy a lot of the gags like SpongeBob hallucinating people as Krabby Patties and Plankton getting crushed by pianos, regular and cards arranged into one.😄
Actually, I found it kind of annoying because they exaggerated Spongebob's naivity (having him worshipping his job too much where he doesn't want to take breaks) and well as Mr. Krabs' shortsighted greed. It also kind of recycled the idea from "Graveyard Shift"
It's honestly interesting seeing season four's reputation go from "the beginning of the end," to "not as good as the golden era, but still decent. Though they were still signs of the beginning of the end."
It was the first season without Stephen Hillenberg's involvement. However, C. H. Greenblatt stuck around for season 4, but he left after that. Thus, for me, season 4 had its highs and its lows. The horror got worse by season 5, which was an onslaught of really brief and uninspired episodes. The bad era continued all the way up to the first half of season 9.
@@wesmcinerny4524At occasions Stephen would review some episodes from season 5 and 6, suggest some changes. For example, the first episode of season 5 “friend or foe”, the episode was originally going to be about something else but Stephen didn’t like the idea and suggested the episode be about the origins of Mr Krabs and Plankton rivalry.

Fear of a Krabby Patty is one of my favorites. Spongebob keeps seeing giant Krabby Patties and he's freaking out. Plankton getting crushed by the piano twice and Squidward getting tired was too much 🍔🍔🍔😱😱😱🤣🤣🤣
As a kid, I used to wonder why Krabs would keep his money in a mattress of all things. Then I learned that in the great depression, people were so angry that the bank had failed them and so worried about looters that they would hide their money in the home. In the fridge, the couch, the mattress, and Krabs must've lived through all that.
I’m sorry, but for me 7:59 will always live on as the famous Regirock meme! lol SpongeBob: “No! NO! STAY BACK!!!” **lifts up a Regirock** Plankton: “Wait a second, where did you get that Regirock?” **SLAM** Regirock: *”ÜN!”*
It is funny how many people considered season four "the end of golden SpongeBob" and hating on it to now admitting it still had its charm. Personally, I always loved season four right alongside the pree movie era. I even say up till about season six, I still find the episode pretty darn funny. It's more season seven through nine that kinda start to really miss the mark more than hitting it but that is just my thoughts too. I know people who love SpongeBob throughout and only have maybe one or two episodes they skip. So it will be interesting to see what you guys think
The animation in “Fear of a Krabby Patty” was pretty expressive. Like, whatever the characters did, they’re faces were just over the top and full of expression. I think it’s probably because CH Greenblatt, the same man behind Chowder did some of the animation for it. Either way, it’s still a pretty good episode.
Geez, imagine their hygiene for working in the Krusty Krab for so many days non stop, they'd probably get it shut down due to hygiene 1:01 oh man I'm looking forward to your re-experience of Avatar the Last Airbender the original animated series
25:23 - 25:28 Patrick: Squidward? What're you doing in there? You were supposed to keep watch! Spongebob: Yeah, and you woke up the guard worm, too! I always love it when the antagonist of the episode is lectured for their failures, props for Patrick's self-awareness in this episode!
As I've already mentioned before, season 4 is the start of the not-so-liked second era of SpongeBob, Stephen Hillenberg left the show (this era goes all the way up to the first half of season 9). However, one of the main storyboard guys and writers, C. H. Greenblatt, stuck around for season 4 (though he left right after that). That's probably why season 4 has its highs and its lows. For these first four segments of the fourth season, "Shell of a Man" is one of the better ones - it highlights the biological process of molting, as well as some of Mr. Krabs' navy days. "Fear of the Krabby Patty" was a bit annoying because it was the start of exaggerating SpongeBob's naivity and Mr. Krabs' greed and selfishness - it also kind of recycled its formula of a 24-hour service from "Graveyard Shift". "The Lost Matress" and "Krabs vs Plankton" were mostly just soso.
Well, they are 😂 Season 4 and forward had some decent and even good episodes, but to say the later seasons and movies can even touch the original 3 seasons and movie is absolutely laughable.
I saw on a meme reaction video a dark meme of this scene 6:17 that says "when reporters try to demonstrate government corruption" and ends with a gunshot when Crabs pulls Spongebob into the kitchen
14:52, Krabs Jr. Hehehe. 16:30, Spongebob..is a survivor. 18:56, Clariss: Vulnerability!! ^_^ Everyone else: I have a confession to make. XD 23:24, XD Best line in the episode. 29:14, the best title theme in Spongebob imo. 33:49, dammit Spongebob. 34:35, relevance? Krabs did say the floor sign was bupkis which meant he was saving money hence the term 'cheap'. 35:22, tenouttaten, the MOST biggest betrayal of all!! 36:22, that lil' nod the Krabby Patty made. He can mop in the early seasons ala 'Night Shift'. He's just messing around.
3:23 poor Squidward not being able to sleep makes him stressed 5:25 Omg... Looks Spongebob goes crazy and has a mental breakdown about paty 27:06 The worm bites Squidward's ass😂😂 28:31 poor Squidward escape from the worm😂😂 Thanks for watching you're reaction make me happy and laugh for you ❤❤
Spongebob can definitely mop and really good at it too. Earlier episodes already proved it. His mopping even got crowd cheering for him in Squidward's talent show
Many people didn’t very much care about season 4 after the first 3, plus the movie. I didn’t at first either. After several rewatches I grew to like most of the episodes of the first half, as they were entertaining enough.
Thing is, in the early seasons, SpongeBob was always a pretty multi-faceted guy who was generally very capable in most situations and had a wide skill set You can start to see them pivot in Season 4 to him being a bit more unaware and a little less capable or helpful in the given situation I knew about the shift, but I don't think I noticed how abruptly it started before I started rewatching the early seasons
I love The Lost Mattress, but my most favorite part is when SpongeBob, Patrick, and Squidward attempt to recover Mr. Krabs' mattress from the Guard Worm. But why is there even a really big guard worm in a dump anyway?
This season is unofficially the beginning of Flanderization. After the creator left the team and stayed in name only, this show status has dropped greatly. Characters have began to change traits, the show is more humanlike, plots are becoming subpar.. just wait til later on when you begin to realize it's Family Guy but underwater
Squidward tries to claim it was all his idea to get Mr. Krabs a new mattress, so he can steal all the credit and make Mr. Krabs scold SpongeBob and Patrick for not thinking of an idea like this to help him.
Mr. Krabs putting money in his mattress makes more sense giving he lives during the depression area, and people use to do that with their money, hide it in mattresses
Episodes you're gonna love Have you seen this snail? (You are gonna cry) Skill crane MM and BB VI the Motion Picture Krusty Towers Patrick Smartpants Mrs Puff you're Fired Chimps Ahoy Ghost Host Wishing you well Pink Purloiner
Honestly, I can see why Mr. Krabs puts his money in his mattress instead of a bank. They love taking your money but giving it back is the problem.😊😊😊😊😊
I remember when these four episodes along with the two next ones first aired years ago. My parents, sister and I used to watch new ones together when they first aired. I recall how in the lost mattress episode, Squidward appeared to be extra mean and Patrick displayed signs of higher intelligence than usual. I also remember my mom, being surprised that Squidward appeared in all six episodes!!!
32:08 You guys should react the Gilbert & Sullivan comic operas sometime - one of them, _Trial by Jury,_ is pretty much exactly what it says on the tin, or more specifically, it's about a case of Breach of Promise of Marriage (which is basically adultery for fiancés, and was treated with a similar level of seriousness in the Victorian era).
5:44 Not-so-fun fact: there was a movie, I can't remember which one, where one of the actors apparently stayed up overnight to act drunk for a scene, as apparently the symptoms are similar. Makes you wonder why the studio didn't just let him drink.
9:20 I remember when I was a kid and this episode came out, all the cool kids at school had a phone like this. Now, I primarily associate that image with Candace from _Phineas and Ferb_ (though I've heard she switched to a smartphone in a later episode).
