The top 4 from Bristol and the top 3 from Brum in one heat together is still absolutely crazy to me. You absolutely had the pace to be up there at the front with us mate and most overtakes of the day easily. Great performance mate🙌
My mistake, even tougher than I first thought 😅 It was a wild group and still happy with how it all went, put it all on the line. Unfortunately it was just a bit too much work to do in a field that was very competitive. Appreciate it mate and best of luck to you at Warrington; go smash it! ❤️
One thing i learnt from taking part in BIKC 2022 and 2023 is that qualifying is CRITICAL. This is because passing on indoor karting tracks is incredibly difficult and more so when most people are driving at an almost identical pace. Some might say "well make sure you do well in qualifying then" which is true, but as is the case with rental karting, its a roll of the dice when it comes to the performance of each kart. Anyone that has raced competitively in indoor karting knows that the karts aren't identical at all, despite what the track tells you. The problem is, rental karting companies (like TS) make most of their money from public events where the drivers cant tell the performance difference, so they have no incentive to change it. I personally wouldn't mind paying more to have access to a smaller fleet of karts (or even completely different karts) with the same performance levels set aside at each track and only used specifically for competitive events (or those with elite membership). That's not going to happen though.
I agree with you 100%, the issue with this competition is that it’s fully a qualifying event. It can be difficult to show your true ability when we are using karts that are bashed about all year long - however this is the nature of the beast. In an ideal world all of the karts would be identical and it would really allow everyone to shine. We can only do the best with what we have to work with and hope for some more luck in the future!

Great racing mate, unfortunate with the kart allocation and the rubbish rules surrounding it... You definitely deserved to be at least fighting for the top 3!
Cheers Robbie I appreciate it a lot, was a shame because I felt really good for every other race. The one where it mattered was where it all slipped away. I thought after last year I’d have a bit more luck but unfortunately it wasn’t meant to be :(

Yeah it really is a qualifying event, I tried my best after qualifying ended but it seemed it was too little too late. I’m glad you could enjoy the show 😉
good job on getting to P6 in the Grand Finals but unfortunate you didn't get into Nationals (good job to Harley tho) anyway good luck next time. Also will you be doing SRK again next year?
Cheers Oskar, was a tough one but still really happy with my result regardless. Harley smashed it and can’t wait to see how he does at Warrington! I should be doing SRK next year as far as I’m aware at the moment.

It’s the nature of the beast, think my head got the better of me seeing how far down it was in the LW heats too. You can see how much slower it was in the second heat when Luke had it. I gave it my all but unfortunately came up just short 😔
It's very hard watching videos like this when we can't see where you are going. It would be great if you could adjust the camera upwards next time, so that we can see what's coming up.
This is something I mentioned and apologised for in the video. Was unaware of the angle of the camera until I uploaded the footage onto the computer at home. It is difficult to understand what is being see when the camera is placed on top of the helmet - I’m looking at investing in a chin mount so I can see where the camera is facing for upcoming videos.
