My daughter spent a semester in Honduras with her Spanish department from her Christian college. She went to Ebenezer many times. That trip changed her life, she now teaches Spanish in inter city Chicago, and brings the love of Jesus to many high school students. John, I truly hope the Holy Spirt spoke to you there as well.

Went to La Ceiba, Honduras on a mission trip and loved that place. Yes! This is how I believe Heaven will be(the church dancing, singing, blow horns, flags, all of it)!!!!

I am so glad you guys had Arturo to translate for you all. May God continue to use him. This reminded me of my church back home ❤ exactly like this, with the tambourine dance crew, the flags, the horns, the dancing, the praise, then worship, and the speaking in tongues, the holy oil placed on people. Service would last hours. My pastor used to say you can’t rush the holy spirit.

Seeing how they worship brought me so much nostalgia! I was born and raised in the US but grew up in Hispanic churches so I remember the dancing and the joy! I miss going to churches like this! God bless you guys!

Churches of Christ are decentralized so most of them are going to be unique. I definitely prefer smaller low key congregations and having conventions every once in a while. It feels more like family that way.

Good thoughts on worship and praise! I’ve been a missionary in Central America for the past 8 years and in Christian language. When they say alabanza (praise) what churches/worship teams typically mean is fast energetic songs. Whereas adoración (worship) typically means songs that are slower and more reverence filled.

My church, Providence Community Church in Spring Grove, PA, reminds me of this church. Let me emphasize "reminds" because we are only 600-700 people, but we do have "flaggers" and some will dance in front of the stage. Occasionally a woman will play her Shofar. I wish our entire congregation was as lively as this one, because it does look quite heavenly. Thanks for sharing these videos.

As a carribean person. North American churches act like Christ nevef raised from the dead. Its so different in other countries, there is an actual hunger for Christ especialling in countries where you do not have the same freedom to worship God.

There is a few Iglesias de Ebenezer in California, and it has become popular in the Spanish Christian community. I can confirm, that’s how they roll. I’m glad you guys had a great time.

I loved this episode! I really enjoyed the exposure to the open style of worship and praise. The dancing, shofars, flags-- it was wonderful to see. And when John said that he imagines that this is how heaven will likely be, I agree. I love this series!

It was so different that Idk how I would feel if there by just watching and not knowing but a bit of Spanish. Thinking are they sure this is a real , true , Church for our God? Then thinking it wouldn't be in my comfort zone but I'm not there either. WHEN JOHN stated all the joy thar you could feel in singing and dancing.. to him it was like how it maybe in heaven one day❤!! That gave me chills!!

Honduras sucks. Most unfriendly place I have ever been. Police shock me down said I did not have the proper drivers license, no problem I have traveled all over the world, what is my fine officer, he stated in Spanish I have to go to the jail. BTW this police officer spoke perfect English two hours earlier when I was stopped at his checkpoint, nonetheless almost $1000 US, oh did I mention the AK 47 pointed at me and my families head. Honduras was the worst

When I was a senior in high school…we went to Mexico w/ our Spanish club. We were taught how to carry our handbags….and to watch for traffic because if you’re killed by a car, it’s a mere misdemeanor for the driver. Cracks me up! This was in the 70s.

I love being able to see other countries churches!! THANK YOU!! Also, I occasionally attend a local Messianic Synagogue and it's similar. Not quite as vibrant as Ebenezer, but the praise and worship the dancing and the flags and shofar. Very cool. I loved this! Please continue to do church visits!!!

Guys, it's not a parrot 😂 It's our national bird the Guacamaya. The Mayan Civilization adored that bird (it's quite pretty by the way XD). You can interact with them if you visit Copan (It's not gonna be as hot as San Pedro Sula)

They are global. I attend one in the States. I recommend the one in Tampa with pastora Lindsey de Font. Another main church of Ebenezer is in Guatemala. Really solid theology! Love the series!!

I’m glad you guys got to experience a Hispanic Christian church. We like to have fun and dance a lot! Some aren’t great but no church is perfect. If you’ve noticed, Hispanic Christian churches do have some Jewish and Muslim influences but not in a philosophical stance, I mean like the shofar and the women wearing scarves over their head when they pray.

they don’t look out for pedestrians “like they do in the states.” Laughing so hard, Tears Coming Out of My Eyes, my touchscreen stopped working until I dried it. You take life in your hands crossing a parking lot in metro Atlanta. Parking lot layouts designed by crackheads with all kinds of angles meeting at 4,3,2 or 1 way stops occasionally observed. Bushes, signs & parked vehicles blocking the view at intersections within the lot. Careful you don’t slip on piles of chicken bones, vials, condoms, dumped ash trays, or dog(hopefully) poop. The grinding of chassis scraping speed bumps can be heard over thumping bass. All that being said I’ve been ‘Saved’ in a parking lot more than once.
