They're on your face mate 😎! Mark, no one could ever accuse you of being dull and boring 😂! You're a brilliant super⭐! Looking forward to the Japan vlogs, have a great time! ❤️
Hi Mark. Your friend is adorable. I’m so happy you have a good friend to travel with. Could this possibly be a future “Lark “. So many of your viewers want nothing but happiness for you. Enjoy your trip. ❤️❤️🙂
Omg Mark, I went to Japan in February and following your trip is making me so nostalgic! I hope you are having an amazing trip and that you’re enjoying every second 💖💖
As someone who lives in Japan and speaks the language (so I get around fine) I absolutely love watching vlogs like this hahaha! Nothing really phases me anymore but I'll always remember my first Japanese toilet and vending machine experiences etc!
Mark, after you get home, please do a video of tips and tricks that you recommend for traveling to and in Japan. I'd love to try it myself! I've traveled (from the U.S.) to Ireland, Scotland, and England on my own, but I'm nervous to try a country where I'm useless with the language. 💙
defygravity74 hey I'm Scottish Japanese and although I'm fairly comfortable speaking in Japan I still get daunted too BUT its always absolutely fine. Most places speak a basic level of English and are extremely patient when you're trying to explain. All signage etc is all in Japanese with English below. Please please go, I've you've braved the cold and the crazy people of Scotland.....Japan will be easy :)
I went to Tokyo with only my sister and we both don't speak Japanese (except for thank you and hello). We were there for 10 days and it went amazingly well! Most hotel staff speak basic English and if you plan your trip well (where to go, which hotel to stay at, prepare street maps, train maps, learn the currency and conversion rates, internet, phone, bank cards, basically all I'm saying is you need very good planning. But hey thats the most exciting part!)
Have the BEST time in Japan, Mark! I'm Japanese American so I've been fortunate enough to visit Japan to see my family, and I am so glad that you get to experience the culture there. Some of my personal favs- if you're looking for something sweet to eat, make sure you check out Mister Donut (the Japanese equivalent of Krispy Kreme) and get their mochi donut that's shaped like a lion's mane (it's heavenly!). Also, Starbucks in Japan have different frappuchino flavors- the last time I went to one I got a strawberry cheesecake frappuchino and it was exquisite :)
I just finished watching this vlog, and I really enjoyed it! For me, it was so funny that you guys were surprised and impressed about every things like vending machine, bathroom etc. which I’m familiar with!! Love you so much!!
I love how open you are to new experiences, Mark! I can't imagine many people who'd look so comfortable in such a foreign country. I mean, you didn't even know what your appetizer was but you loved it anyway! You must be *the best* person to travel with :)
Mark! "Mandom" and "Gatsby" are authentic mens skincare/haircare brands. I also highly recommend to try "hada labo" 's "極潤"(gokujun) lotion. It contains high hyaluronic acid. It's a Japanese brand but a lot of American beauty experts love their items too. I recommend either white bottle (original), gold (extra hydration) or blue ( hyaluronic acid + brightening). You can find them at any drug store. And the price is very affordable! xo
Hahah Mark the flushing sound isn’t to help you go to the bathroom, it’s so other people can’t hear you pee. Also you should check out Ueno park while the cherry blossoms are out!
Thanks for this answer, I was wondering about it. It didn't make any sense they'd add noise to help go to the bathroom. This makes perfect sense, and it's also very considerate.
I cannot tell you how excited I am for tomorrow's vlog!!! Mark in animal cafes in Japan?! HELL YEESSS >w< definitely get some cute plushies to bring back home Mark! Tokyo's got loads of em!
I've got three children and a husband. I've just come back from Boston and New York, a trip I went on with uni. I've rediscovered my love of travel and watching this has now made me want to go to Japan. I love how positive you are, you make me feel as though anything is possible 😁 keep being you Mark 😊
MARK!! I love that your in Japan!! In Scottish Japanese, born and bred in Scotland but I go back to Japan at any opportunity. Its my favourite place on earth. You're gunna love it!! Find a Don' Quijote (donkihote) the best place to buy crazy fun gifts and souvenirs. Its a store you find across Asian, Hawaii Singapore etc. You'll hear a lot of Chinese over the tannoy. its incredible. There's many in Tokyo so google map it and GO!! Eat lots drink lots and don't be scared to try everything!! I'm gunna love these vlogs xxx
OMG You are in Japan! It's my first time to comment here, I got too excited that you are in Japan!! I love your personality and everything about you. I enjoy your videos and with Zoe too!
Really enjoyed this! Love that you guys just go out and explore rather than going to all the tourist-y stuff. I would love that as well, but nice to see something different from all the Tokyo vlogs 🙈☺️
sooo happy you’re in japan!! it’s one of my fav countries. i hope you have the best there! definitely try tonkatsu if you haven’t already :) - even if you don’t like stuffed animals getting them from japan is a MUST - hope you can visit korea in the future as well x
So glad you are enjoying Japan so far!! Your videos are so inspiring and so fun to watch that it’s not a surprise that you bumped into a viewer, I have loads of friends who watch your videos here in Tokyo xoxo
Actually in Tokyo now. Loving it. So you arrived on Sunday it was pouring that day, we chose to be lazy that day and rest cause we have been running around like crazy persons 😂😂😂
The one you drank was actually whisky cocktail which is called ‘high ball’. It’s really fresh, lemony, sweet cocktail. It really goes with savoury japanese dishes! Hope you enjoy Japan!!
Omggggg my boyfriend lives in Japan and watching this makes me want to visit even more than before if that was even possible!!!!! 😍 have a lovely time Mark!
Maaaaaark! こんにちは🌞🌞🌞 didn't know you were in Japan! I'm impressed how well you dealt with the craziest transpotations in the world NGL LOL anyway hope you had a great holiday✌️
You should try Biore skincare, also Acne cleansing range and all the facemasks If you get confused in the drugstore, try to ask the assistants as everyone is super polite, or google things! Have fun Mark! Japan is amazing and otherworldly 😍
Mark you need to get yourself a rail card (Suica/Pasmo) to get around. You purchase it from the ticket machine at any station & you can top it up with money as you go (also from the ticket machine). It will automatically deduct your travel as you go through the barriers (you just need to wave it over the barrier kind of near where you put the ticket in the slot). You can also use it to buy goods at convenience stores & at vending machines too! Also, the water sound the toilet makes is to 'disguise' any potential sound you might make whilst on the toilet haha! It's a modesty/privacy thing. The arcade you & Luke entered is called a 'Pachinko'. There are loads of them in any given city in Japan. You'll find heaps of salary men in there betting on the slots. Enjoy Japan....the culture, the delicious food & it's incredible people. Looking forward to more Japan vlogs from you guys! I'm going back there (for the 6th time) later this year! Ureshii------!!!! :) p.s. 'Tatcha' is an awesome Japanese skincare brand I'd recommend. 'LuLuLun' brand have awesome skin masks too. Mata ne!
Yesssss! Actually, It’s the most exciting vlog for me because I’ve been wanted you to come to Japan so long 🇯🇵❤️ I’m so glad you are having great time in Japan and hope you also enjoy the rest of the day in the amazing my home country! Hehe
i recommend you to use "shiseido perfect whip face wash" or "sana soy isoflavone cleansing wash foam"👍🏾💕 love this vlog so much and looking forward to the others !🌈❤️
if you're in Tokyo, then Harajuku and Shibuya are defo places to visit! There's all these cute places to shop and they do the best crepes and candy floss :) Coco Curry is also somewhere to eat and the starbucks always has limited edition things!! and if you can try Aoyama Gardens the pancakes there are out of this world???? also Akihabara has a lot of cute anime/manga orientated things so have a look if you can !! (p.s the temples are always amazing to go to, the energy around them is what we all need)
Such an awesome vlog, Mark! I luckily have the chance to talk with many Japanese people and learn about their culture, but I've never been to Japan. Thanks to you, I get to see what Japan is like. 😊 Enjoy your trip! ❤️
I found the train system in Tokyo was super simple once you got the hang of it! The only issue was that there's a few different train companies that run different lines so making sure you had the right type of ticket was a challenge haha
