Sadly the Englishtown swap turned into pretty much what this swap meet did , a glorified garage sale full of junk nobody wants ... it's not about cars , anymore ... it's about yard equipment & dicast .
:D looking at the old (metal) tools... I just brought home a wrench from my grandfather's shop at his house (he's been gone about 10 years but my grandma just died) it's stamped Ford 3Z-2034 it's an open ratchet 3/4 inch box end wrench.. you flip it over to change direction. Accordingly it was made from 1908-1927 and was for adjusting the transmission on a Model T... so it must've been my great grandpa's. Obviously it won't ever go anywhere and is now hanging on my bedroom wall half leaning on a 32 Ford 3 window Hot Wheels.. need to find a Model T one now to put with the wrench. I guess they aren't worth much though as one came with every Model T ever made... which is a LOT. (over 15 million) Like I said, the coolness factor and family history means it'll never go anywhere anyways.. I also wound up with an old Wilde Tool Company spark plug gapping rotary pliers. It has this star thing on top, a little U shaped thing in front and squeezable handles and the star thing has different gauges of steel to gap the plugs to.. Don't know why you'd need to gap that many plugs.. Must've come out of the shop at the mill when the Diamond Match Mill in Stirling City shut down. Man I can't believe you didn't say anything about that late 80's Monte Carlo.. those things are so bad ass.. talk about a NASCAR legend.
Took me an hour to get in but I got in at 6 am, if you are part shopping you have to definitely start off on the side you finished on cause that’s where most of the vendors carry the random parts and what not, got me a bunch of goodies and the early birds get the worm. Always negotiate you would be surprised how often you can get someone to lower there price! It was a Great show!!
Thanks for sharing Craig. That wagon... ya... could see you building one of those [they are out there in the salvage yards those old Galaxy wagons] :-)
Wow good video. I missed Pomona due to a prior family commitment but have found that the Secret is to find the Ford section by looking for the tall flags . There's lots of cool stuff in between for sure
This video reminds me of my 1961 Galaxie Starliner that I realize I'm not ever going to get around to restore it, has been customized with shaved door handles louvered Hood Galaxie XL 500 interior someone put a Ford 400 automatic in it I've never had it started I did buy an original Grill to put back in. It has rust in the rocker panels and quarters not sure about floor board not even sure what it's worth, live in southern Indiana.
Man you are lucky once a month, were lucky if a swap meet comes around us in Youngstown Ohio 1 time every 5 or 6 years . When I was little it used to be 1 time a year . Keep up the great work and God Bless.
That trim on the mustang is driving me nuts! But I’m having trouble deciding what I want to see you do with it. I think it needs to break-up the black, but I’m not sure how. Maybe a stainless steel color??? Silver? Gold?! I don’t know! I just think it would be super unique to use it as a break in the black rather than murdering out the back of the car. Maybe even red, but I feel like you’d need other red accents? Obviously, it’s your car, so what you see fits! But I just wanted to share some ideas of something to add a lil flare to it. What are your thoughts? Maybe my idea is complete garbage? Let me know, seriously.
The swap meet in Portland, Oregon is larger, by a lot. It's actually 2 swap meets. The Expo is 52 acres, packed. The PIR swap meet is a 2 mile road course with vendors on both sides all the way around.
And you can usually find used decent Mac wrenches on eBay and really decent deals on Amazon on car stereo stuff to put in the mustang oh and Sonic electronics where I bought my subwoofers..
I would have walked out of that place so broke 😂 I would have bought stuff that I didn't need just because it was cool, especially if there was a pinto booth or section, and yeah I noticed that you kept saying 45 hrs, I was like this dude is tired and should go back to bed 😂 well at least you have another cool hat to add to your collection 😜🚗💨
@@wyohotrods 😂😁 I have a hatch that I put a 347 in it but if I had a wagon I would have surely bought them because they look good on a wagon but I would have to v8 swap it too because I would want more power than factory and have a cool little sleeper , is that all you have for the pinto?
The reason it's getting harder to find old car parts is because the old timers are dying off, and there kids are just scraping all the metal. I've seen it done with all are old wrecking yards. There kids didn't want to run the business so all the old car's truck's went to the crusher. I wanted to cry because a lot of those car's truck's could have been restored.
Pomona swap meet, used to be great till the early 2000s. Then internet changed things. But, if you're into Chebbies, Raiders garbage and listen to Lowrider Oldies, it's the place to be, Dawg.
*I've rolled a few times with my crew full of 2nd Gen Camaro's. I was invited last Sunday but, I didn't want to wake up early, so...I have a 1976 Camaro.* 2ndGenFrank
You went the wrong swap meet! I never go there. Overpriced to the hilt. Only one I go to is Veterans Stadium in Long Beach. I used to go to Qualcomm stadium in San Diego, but they stopped having it..

Pomona is completely bogus... Shut down for two years... ALL of the cars there are way over priced... Long Beach has been open just about the whole time. I probably wont even try going back to Pomona for 2 more years... THEY SUCK
