Bent trying to have a dig at Stoke with the training comments… another one who can’t see past the Pulis era and what an amazing time Stoke had under Mark Hughes… Bojan, Shaqiri, Arnautovic, Nzonzi, Afellay… all in that Stoke team and all better players than Bent could ever wish to have been.
Afellay is from my city in the Netherlands - Utrecht. I saw him once at a local restaurant with his mum and assumed agent just before he signed for Barcelona.
Gutted Affelay didn't have time on the pitch. So classy and efficient. They were superb times. We were marauding and swashbuckling. Let's not forget Muniesa either, some pro that guy. Aye, happy memories.
It was just a real shame that they never got to all play together and Bojan's career altering injury. If N'Zonzi had stayed, the side would have looked something like Butland, Cameron, Shawcross, Muniesa, Martins Indi, Imbula, N'Zonzi, Shaqiri, Afellay, Arnautovic & Bojan.

Stoke were good at bringing top players whos careers had stalled were struggling to regain form and got them back on track again and Bojan understood that these idiots jumped on the stoke long ball rugby club herding with the rest of the sheep because it was fashionable to hate Stoke even when we were playing some of the best football in the league at times beating the big rich teams, they hated that we stayed up all that time and now they miss us if their honest
It was a great time. There was a time if a team fighting for the Premier league lost at Stoke they usually didn't win the league. The arsenal games at that time was buzzing. And I believe that one game gave birth to there tv as they were fighting with one another after the game!
I think Bojan hit nail on the head. What makes the premier League the best league in the world and the English lower leagues better than other lower leagues around the world is the unpredictable weather. Makes the game unpredictable and exciting.
