@@San_Dee I agree! They should make a updated travel with the dogs video. And also showcase their favorite places to go. Recommended items etc. borders to everywhere opening and we’re excited to get out!
I was so amazed about how the dogs hiked without a leash. Altitude did not affect them. Total Champions. You are all ready for Peru. Thanks for sharing.
@@San_Dee Excellent question! They're happiest when they have easy access to great trails for their everyday walks. They're not too fussy about where in the world that might be...as long as they get plenty of time in nature.
Wow! That looks like such an adventure!! Besides the extra effort while hiking, did you have any other effects from the altitude? Looking forward to the next one as always guys:)
We found that we were a little lightheaded and had a low-grade headache in the beginning of our journey. Nothing that lots of hydration and enough rest couldn't fix!
Great job you two/four!!!! Wow. High five to Stephanie for getting across that log bridge, despite her fears. 🏆 Watching the video you can really see how slippery that could be.
Just found your site here and love it so much and subscribed to your channel. First time I've ever done that! So informative, helpful, and great to get a peek into your awesome travels. Thanks for sharing such good insight!
Last three vlogs your views are suffering. I am a big fan and hate to see you guys losing momentum. During Covid a lot of travel vlogs tried to transition to adventure. That’s when I found you guys doing great slow travel vlogs. Having worked so hard to establish your brand you may find to sudden and heavy a focus on adventure misses the mark with your audience. Looking forward to more great content.
So sweet - thanks for thinking of us. Of course, we're mixing up the slow travel with the adventure and have our series from a month in Cuenca coming out soon.
Are you able to take your walking sticks on your carry on? We're planning on starting our travels this year and were wondering whether we should bring ours or rent them in areas when they're needed. We only intend on bringing carry on's if we can minimize enough.
We brought them in our checked luggage. We aren't able to fly with carry on luggage as our dogs take up that space on the plane. 😂 We were very happy to have our walking sticks for this round of travel. We definitely wouldn't have been able to rent them for some of the hikes we did. Hope that helps!
That's one thing that we never, ever do! We are sometimes lightly critical of our Airbnbs so that's not something we want to share with potential hosts. 😂
Congratulations on a very nice hike. If the opportunity presents, check out the Secret Garden Cotopaxi. It’s a wonderful place with several “hobbit” house accommodations. They are comfy and truly unique.
In fact, we stayed there for one night before heading off on our hike and it was lovely! You can check out our photos from there in our latest community post: ru-vid.comcommunity
I love Gillian’s optimism 😂. My partner and I have a similar dynamic with hiking and I’m definitely the Stephanie, hah. Did you organize this all by yourself? It doesn’t seem like it was a guided hike like you had in Romania (?)
Yes, we did this one all by ourselves, unlike the guided hike that we did in Albania. I was a little nervous about it but it turned out to be relatively easy to follow our GPS progress in the AllTrails app. Only a few instances of following the wrong path 😂
Great video - hiking at altitude is tough, so well done for pushng through to finish! We're in Fethiye now, enjoying the walks along the Turquoise coast - another of your recommendations - loving the adventure series - good luck with the next!
