It's been increasingly clear to us over the past several months that we're finally approaching the full release for Empires of the Undergrowth. The long road of early access is drawing to a close, and release plans are being worked on.

Wouldn't have missed this for the world. This game really is one of, if not the best game I've ever had the pleasure to play. Been around since the beta (2015/16?), and I'm glad to say it's been a joy to see the game grow. Happy holidays Slug Disco, you deserve it.

Can't wait for full release, I've been following the game updates since I bought it back in November 2019. I am very impressed with the game and honestly I fall back in love with the game every update. I know it's a bit ;ate but I hope your holiday went well and I can't wait to try out what's in store!

It's happening!!! I've been following you since Christmas 2017! I'm sure you've thought about it, but while you polish the game these last upcoming months, don't forget to pay extra close attention to making the game work well for new players and giving off a great first impression. You already have a lot of passionate early access players and testers, but "early adopters" can be quite different than the "general population". Looking forward to a successful release!

If you can, make the longer and or harder formicarium challenges worth more materials, like food, jelly, etc. It’s tiring and frustrating trying to grind food for the formicarium colony and only doing 1.2 because it’s the fastest level by significant margin, therefore is the fastest way to get food. (a balance would be to only affect to the materials given after you beat the level one so there’s a reason to play certain levels again like 2.2 or 4.2 which take a really long time. The materials should scale to the time length, and the difficulty of the level.)

Any plans for a Multiplayer mode with this? I really love this game and the fact that I can run to my Mac Book Pro, but I'd love to be able to play some games with my Dad on some Co-Op or even with other players around the world.

@@Max-vu2uo At this stage, adding multiplayer in would essentially be starting from scratch (all the game systems are made and balanced around single player) - so that's pretty much what we want to do. Our next project will focus on it.

I just finished Moonstone Island and Dave the Diver. Both are very good games. Then I got disappointed by Against the Storm. I will give Empire of the Undergrowth a try.

the spider minigame was always too hard for me, even if i got a tower down i would just die to the first large ants i feel theres no way to enjoy it

Enemy infighting has been fixed in the beta. The holiday missions are always meant for the try-hard. It's fine if you can't do it.
