Oh right, she's talking about the small patches in between those where the land isn't suitable for either and so is left alone for nature (or managed appropriately for nature, actually). Or maybe she just means the bits where rich people keep their horses. Idk. Problem is we're on a tiny island with a huge population.

Land and the use of it is a major challenge. The county side should be for agriculture and agriculture needs labourers. Unfortunately labourers can’t afford hoisin so I suggest all housing in or near agricultural and Green areas should be reduced in price considerably to stop investors from making ludicrous profits. Then compulsory purchase outdated and substandard houses from the marketplace and build affordable well designed and carbon neutral accommodation upward in the form of high rise so as to maximise homes. I even dare to suggest that many of these developments be built by no profit making organisations to halt homes and out dated homes from creating a false feeling of wealth. No more Green land should be used to make vast profits for greedy banks and developers. Housing is a landscape cancer that needs to be stopped.

Most of the people there will be living in houses built after WW2 and lots of them in houses built in the 70s or later. We need to build more but in the right places and with the services people need. Don't be a NIMBY

I always thought the Greenbelt was filled with lush and beautiful areas all to see that most of it is plain boring fields that serve Pests than any endangered wildlife.
