Thanks for posting this. Brings back lots of great memories. That is an efficient way to castrate. We would always rope and stretch them. Pulling testicles forward until released and then crushing cord w/emasculators. Then spray wound w/screw worm spray.

You can also use cans after you use em just wash them out and place them under. At work we use empty wet cat food cans and they work perfect

Love the videos and great information & wisdom . Cody you can turn off the seat belt ringer. It is a sequence of selt belt and key on . Lol , look it up on RU-vid. It has worked on all my dodges & Rams , im sure it will work on a chevy. God bless your family and animals

You can put a splash of apple cider vinegar in there water once a week. It helps with their probiotics.

Banding & cutting are the only two options for castrating. He was cutting, which is the most common method and also the oldest most reliable method there is. Not sure why you haven't seen this before if you've been around cattle working.

@AR-10 he didn't have any equipment to handle them gentler he had to make due with what he had but this way is still very common on ranches today. When your dealing with a large number of cattle you do it the fastest way possible or you'd be there all day.

@@AR-1996 generally there is not much infection associated with it but there is a topical antibacterial spray you can use to keep infection down if you prefer.
