That one looked like the beam would explode on impact like the staff weapons from Stargate. The shaking hand as it charged added so much to the impression of power!
I mean, you were amazing without having to resort to visual effects or camera trickery. Bolstered by that I can only imagine your content will improve!
I loved playing the game of "where's the gun sound from" with this one. The Cassette player in particular had me trying to figure out which specific version of the Avenger assault rifle you used. And nice choice with the Javelin sniper for the Toilet Brush.
Having bought MELE on sale not long ago and blasting through another playthrough (and having just stopped playing right before watching this) I thought I was going crazy and hearing things!
This guy seriously needs to film himself on a greenscreen and make a FPS game out of these reloads. Maybe even have enemies that use live video recordings in a sort of FMV style game of old. Love the cassette reload/overheat the most - the small wisps of smoke/steam at the end was 👌, dude.
I basically tried to do something like this recently myself, I wasn't overly happy with the results though. It's so cool seeing someone do this as well as I thought it should be!
@@dell7013 If we're painting with very broad strokes absolutely, I've taken inspiration and influence from many big names, Kommander Karl, Lord Draconical, Schrodinger, Aman, even Hyper to some extent. But I'm absolutely trying to bring my own flavour to the space :)
I just got done playing RE3 and this reminded me of when Nemesis was trying to torch you with his flamethrower up on a rooftop and he has to cool it off in between uses.
seeing these back to back makes me realize how much I hope Energy weapons dont become a thing if the guns just gonna burn your hand after not even a dozen shots

I love your work; and I especially love your Half-Life tattoo. I also enjoy the Halo references with the weapons and the toilet brush gun. Maybe you can add the Gears of War mulcher overheat in a future video

These videos have taught me that Karl's ablity to turn household items into deadly weapons has surpassed even the Frank West school of improvised fighting!
I noticed a lot of these guns are referencing related to Halo covenant weapons which is pretty unique and cool I think. Especially the water gun is referencing to the plasma pistol one of the most iconic weapons from the covenants themselves.

kommander karl is an NPC who gained sentience and decided to show off his cool/unorthadox weapons to the human world and i absolutely love this keep up the good work sir

This is awesome. I know a lot of people hate “overheat” based weapons but I love them.. in certain games if you have good trigger control you can basically lay down unlimited fire in bursts. I love the challenge of pushing it to the limit to get nearly unlimited ammo.
I can just imagine the Walmart employees seeing this guy in an army helmet picking up random stuff to turn into weapons just staring in awe, and confusion. Also, awesome effects! Astounding work!

Fun fact, the toilet brush weapon has an alt fire button that stores overheat power so you can go 5 full blasts before it explodes on the sixth killing user, just be sure when you have heavy enemy troops to use this alt fire to become the heat of battle and melt those in melee range with the hyper over heat fireball blast that's almost like the BFG-9000
I love video game nonsense logic of it over heated in 25 seconds of continuous fire then gets cooled in 1.134 seconds with magical steam coming from somewhere
Cool stuff, though when it comes to energy weapons (and I am not sure why this is), i personally love slapping the suckers shut after venting. Just looks really satisfying.
Remember you want to make sure your toilet brush has the latest c3-45 heat absorption unit. If you dont, the firmware updates made to the plasma coil calibrator wont register with the older c2-45 model, and you will get a flash back. Which if just embarrassing. Also make sure you clean the liquid nitrogen collant tubed once a month if you're using the toilet brush a lot. It helps with the heat capacitor not overloading in the absorption unit. Good hunting.
