All those “clanks” at the intro reminded me of Age of Empires

Love this simple, elegant build; great stuff! Also, in case anyone's interested fireforge games has accessory packs you can buy for weapons, helmets, shields, etc. The helmets can be gotten through purchase of the disorder/demoralize tokens.

was looking for something to build in real size, but apperantly there are no cool, or any build examples of weaponracks on youtube. really liked your tutorial so i guess its the next best thing :) i wont be making it out of popsiclesticks but i got the basic shape/construction inspiration from this so thanx allot. left a thumbs up and a subscription in case it helps u out.

Glad you liked the tutorial. I guess the shape is overally suitable for an actual (pretty bulky) weaponrack...I'm no expert carpenter but i reocmmend doing wedges for more résistance instead if just glue more... Dunno about RU-vid but i'm pretty sure you Can find a few picture tutorials on this subject on rennactment forums.

Great video man! Simple idea for the racks but so effective! And excellent work on the weapons! I'll totally be using this as inspiration for my own crafts for my tabletop 😊 I won't be doing a tutorial though, as I think you've absolutely nailed this 😉 (it's me from The Fantasy Forge)

Thanks Darryl! Your second username sounds very french is it just a nickname or are you Cajun? In any case do not refrain from doing a tutorial if you feel you have new things to contribute to the community. Copying a tutorial is Indeed irrelevant but with some added value it's always justified. Just when i reuse a technique i saw Somewhere i try to always mention it that's all☺️

This is SO cool!! Is it easy to find popsicle sticks for sale anywhere or do you generally have to get them from used popsicles? LOL. What kind of scissors do you use? I keep finding scissors that don't cut well. Do you have a tutorial on how to make the crossbow? Any tutorial on how you made that chest (although it looks fairly simple). This is so awesome! I'm going to have to show this to my sister.
@LandvaettrsLair

i mean you can defenetely make with used popsicles sticks for this craft but it is a useful supply for tabletop crafting I would suggest buying a bag through Amazon or maybe locally in a art supply store they have full bags of popsicle sticks sometimes for crafts. I usually stick with ordinary scissors, they end up blunted eventually, but if you stick using them for suitable work they should last a little bit, better use a cutting pliers for tougher materials. For the crossbow everything is doable by hand but for such a small detail I dont consider it worth spending the time, Better use leftover from miniatures wargamming boxes...You can also imprint small cool elements in some kind of mould in case you wanna cast it again... The chest is easy to do indeed. Imagine it as a bench made out of popsicke sticks and the belly of the chest is just cardstock folded in 3 to give simultaneously the front, the bottom and the back of the chest. Metal bindings are just thin packaging carstock cut in staps and painted mettallic. Hope this was helpful. Cheers!

@@LandvaettrsLair Thanks for the replies! I was inspired to look for some of the materials & found some of them on an end aisle at Walmart. Grabbed a few things. No "war sets" in the toy department. I'll have to look for the war sets. I've seen that some stuff can be made with cardboard too. I have plenty of cardboard to practice with. LOL. I'll have to look for cutting pliers. My damn scissors won't even cut plastic bags without a problem. LOL. Once I get the sketch drawn up, I want to make a custom traveling/cargo carriage. I'm still looking at various pictures to try to get an idea of the final look & trying to figure out how to do the part that has the wheels on the front (that can turn slightly). Saw a video but the person who made it disabled comments so I couldn't ask for more details.

Looks amazing but how did you do the armor bits?
@LandvaettrsLair
@LandvaettrsLair 6 лет назад
Cory Meyer for the helmets i scavenged parts from other miniatures but for the chainmail i just used an ordinary sculpting paste un very thin layers then engraved the chain pattern with a pointy tool, then gunmetal cover, silver drybrush and voilà !

Very awesome. How would you make a miniature trident?
@LandvaettrsLair
@LandvaettrsLair 4 года назад
Thanks. If it's 28mm scale i'd probably solder two parts of paperclip or metal wire (but I have a soldering station). One long and straight and one curved in a "U" to make the side prongs of the weapon. If you want pointy/leaflike prongs tips you can flatten and cut the tips beforehand with a hammer and cutting plyers... If you're not looking for scale realism and want a bulkier trident for a monster or a godlike figure it's even easier I'm sure you'll be able to find plastic tridents means for appetizers. Hope this was helpful.
