Yeah Gem actually inspires people to play splatoon which I think is really cool. I hadn’t really played when i first watched him but he really did make me want to get better at the game. I watched him before I played splatoon and I’m still learning from him.
So happy to see the enperry dualies!!! Theyre my first main in splat3 (my first game) and my first five star weapon!! Edit to add: "im gonna be a pain in this chargers butt" is EXACTLY how i play these days lol. Sneak around the backlines, take out ppl who won't expect it with a turret, then zip out. I used to run ninja squid so after getting a splat, i could quickly curling bomb back into my own teams ink then cut left/right so the other team lost track of me. Now i play with higher swim speed instead (as i face harder opponents who it's easier to outpace than stealth around lol), but sharking with the enperries was a lot of my playstyle for a while. and now I'm loving nautilus 79 on tower control lol because i can charge special from a little behind the tower, while picking ppl off, then zoom up to the tower and splashdown lol!
Thank you! I main t-tek and this video absolutely turned me around and got me out of my rut. I was in a 15/30 win/loss rate and could not get out of under 100p in A rank. Now I’m at 20/24 and I’m at 400p in A rank. I’m 1 solid series away from A+ after just one day! I was playing too aggressively. I was feeling guilty for hanging back, throwing bombs and farming my special, and I felt like I wasn’t contributing to my team unless I was going head to head and winning fights. This video gave me a whole new perspective on my weapon and play style, and now not only am I winning more and a much more valuable member of my teams, I am also getting a lot more splats because I’m playing it safe and doing my best to only take fights I think I can win. Seriously thank you so much. I was getting really tilted and not really having fun with the game anymore, and you have helped me rediscover my love of these silly lil squids.
Some notes on dapples nouveau as someone who mains it. 1. The outside 70 hitbox on slider combos with a rolled torpedo. This can make reefslider significantly more threatening on this weapon and you can often get a trade with slider even if you’re in a bad spot. 2. Something worth noting is that dapples has significantly less endlag on its dodge rolls than any other dualie (especially compared to tetras). This means you can’t just rely on basically stalling out the dapples and waiting until they are pinned in place to strike. It also makes dapples significantly less vulnerable to some specials and splat bomb than other dualies are. 3. Reefslider is another tool in the weapon’s kit that allows it to pop rainmaker shields easier. The rainmaker carrier’s slow speed also means that they struggle to get away from reefsliders if you want to make a play to stop the carrier. nDapples often get compared to tetras because they are very similar kits, but they don’t play similarly in practice. Dapples are a close range brawler, while tetras use their high mobility to skirmish a lot. The real competition dapples have and the thing keeping them down right now is carbon deco IMO.
Is this like a weapon learning series? Is Gem gonna go over the different weapons and show how to use them?? Mad fkn respect if that's what he's doing. I've been trying to get my coworker into Splatoon 3 and Squid School has been a source I'm making him watch a lot. Something like this would be AMAZING
There are already some clone kits in the game, like Luna neo and custom goober, so I wouldn't rule it out! But maybe it'll get curse of reefslider instead...
I main dapples and I run object shredder on them (no point of hiding my super jump spot if I can use the mini teleports) and that rainmaker shield is my bitch, also chumps and wall only exist if I allow them to. Like it’s situational but in those situations it’s villainous to say the least.
As someone who can't use Inkjet to save their life, I honestly do prefer the kit the Enperry Dualies got here. It's a lot of fun. Also, thanks for the tips on the dodge rolls. As a sticks player and someone who skipped 2, I keep forgetting the Dualies can even do that.
Since this came up in an on screen note for the first match, how long would you say it typically takes to warm up someone's aim (and presumably movement and other things) to get up to their norm?
i've been using blapples ( awesomesauce name btw ) ever since i got the game and it's kinda crazy because i'm used to reefslider's shortcomings so when i use another special it's jarring how much value i get out of it hahah i heart torp too much and i'm not even sure if clapples could ever take me away from it
Because of how similar Neo Splash-O-Matic and Tentatek Splattershot are in terms of use and functionality, do you think there's one that's better than the other overall? Or do you think they could be swapped in and out without impacting the team comp as much?
Just one question that suddenly came to me when I thought about tteks kit: Do you think Gold Dynamo woulda been a better weapon overall if it got tri strike?
I do think strikes are stronger than chumps rn. It's not ideal how immobile the player is while using them but the effect on the game is usually more significant
@@SquidSchool ya, everyone knows strikes are stronger than chumps, but I suppose I was thinking, since I’m no expert, is it actually possible the chumps could have better synergy with the Gdyna and bomb kit than the strikes would, or would the particular kit have still been better off?
I know it's probably been said before, and I know the typical response is "Just try them out and find what works.", but I'm curious what your control sensitivity settings are. I've tried super sensitive, insensitive, and middling, but nothing ever seems "just right" for dualies.
I think the funny way to put TTek in this game is like this: If Splatoon 3 TTek's exact kit was in Splatoon 2 (pretend Tristrike was in Splatoon 2), I believe it would be pretty strongly meta (or at least close to it). It bears strong resemblance to KShot in Splatoon 2 where it has a displacement tool special that needs space to use and a strong bomb, able to go on the offensive while playing support. Splatoon 2 heavily favoured jack of all trades short range shooters and displacement.
Bomb spam is life. I run so many sub ink consumption and ink regen abilities and absolutely harass my opponents with bombs. I know it’s annoying to play against but it’s really effective and I don’t feel bad about it in ranked. I tone it down in turf war because people are just trying to have a good time. I know there’s lots of kids and new players in there that don’t wanna just be dodging splat bombs for 3 minutes lol.
