Time and place. Situational awareness. The only times anyone will see me in full kit is at the range or in the mountains practicing in my gear. Sometimes lol, at home to practice mag changes. But that's in my home! That's private. However, although tactical stuff is cool and you should 100 percent practice in it and familiarize and get good in it and maintain a good overall physical and mental shape... you shouldnt be living in it. Even the most elite military units dont live in their gear. You should also try and not advertise yourself. How many people have seen that one guy in 5.11 pants and a condor soft shell jacket with edgy patches on it in walmart? Yeah. Everyone... once in awhile you'll see that. Dont be that guy. That's making it your entire personality. You can tell a lot about personality based on the cloths a person wears. Casual Militant clothing indicates a militant personality... which is completly fine to have, just dont advertise it. Remember restraint is cool, restrain youself from advertizing.

Boys are boys, we grow up using sticks as guns and swords, and using pots and pans as shields and helmets. The only thing that ever changes is the quality of our gear. We move on to real swords and real guns (except on each other) and real armor. Most people don't do it in an attempt to pose as the real deal, it's just fun. I can see why someone who has been there and done that might take offense, but then again, the majority of cops are good and get treated poorly regardless, so I would much rather have a bunch of people like my job so much that they pretend to be one of us rather than everyone hating it so much that they just assume we're all worthless garbage. Which, results in people murdering cops because "they shot someone!" (who deserved it)

I never got the point of that. Bunch of dudes wearing body armour to an airsoft match...When the worst injury you can sustain is falling on your ass. Like why ? The outfits are one thing but actual body armour.

@@clothar23 look up milsim west, they’re 40 hour events that feature blank fire machine guns, and night ops, among other things. Body armor usually means you are allowed to be hit by one more bb before dying.

After five and half years in Afghanistan I think anyone who willingly wears body armor is not right in the head. Stuff was heavy , uncomfortable , and in the end did jackshit. Since I ended up taking a knee and hand injury via shrapnel.

@@clothar23 only the really dedicated larpers do it and mostly just in the urban games where there isn’t a huge AO. Most people try to find the correct chest rig to match their impression and just use that because carrying a bunch of ceramic or steel for 3 days of hiking is not particularly fun. There are some people who do it but I personally think it’s kind of dumb.

To be honest I never heard of ANYBODY in my airsoft community trying to use real armor or its weight equivalent. Yeah, there are dummy foam SAPI plates, but that's it, it just improves rigidity of the vest and how comfortable you're in it. Once wore a setup like this, not worth it unless you want to be an ammo mule (and even then you could use bigger chest rigs like LBT 1961)

Easy it’s just an FFL license you need and you can always say you brought it as a demonstration weapon for local law enforcement to see if they would like to buy it
