Anthony Fung you’re welcome. I really appreciate what you guys have done with this project. I play keys in my UK fusion band Curfew and back in 2008 we did a set called Zawinul Legacy ( before Scott Kinsey used it!) covering repertoire from Cannonball right up to the late Syndicate material - it was the hardest thing I’ve ever done but you have Steve on keys who is just the man to nail it all spot on. Always loved his playing with Dave W and his solo stuff. A great shame the current circumstances will be holding things up but I hope you’ll be able to bring this out to a wide audience soon. If you ever get to UK I’ll be first in the queue. Good luck over there 👍

Actually, you're right about Havona. I forget that it was Jaco's other bands that did that one. There is a live version of Palladium up on YT though

AGREED. The drummer knows the history of the monster drummers that have been in this band. Putting his own spin on it as well. Bravo.

Well he's using a Grand Piano, A Nord Lead 2X and on the bottom looks like a Casio Privia. I can tell because I also have a Privia and definitely sounds like one

Thanks, Hugh! Gustavo is right, the Casio PX-S3000 is on the bottom. Above that is a Nord Wave and I'm triggering samples & plugin instruments (mostly Arturia) in MainStage on my laptop sitting on top the piano.

And now for another comment, and a question tied to it-Watching you play is like watching sunshine on steroids! Not only have you achieved a level of technical superiority that I will never come close to, it’s what you exude as you play that blows me away. The pure joy in your smile and acknowledging your audience is something I’m even more envious of. I struggle to even smile as I play, often looking like I’m mad or at least perturbed (it’s really just insecurity and fear!) and I just love watching you play. Any tips on how to smile more, interact with an audience, and just loosen up? Love to hear any insight you may have.

Hi@@HughPoland, and thank you for your kind words! Sorry for my delay. Honestly, I think most of the smiling/happiness you are catching is just my enjoying all that's happening around me. As I try to think of a more specific example/answer, I'm considering how fortunate I am in that I get to play with some really amazing musicians... I believe that's a lot of it. I also think all of those hours locked in a practice room getting my chops in shape (at least to the state I've been able to get them!) has given me mental freedom to look up from the keys and know with a certain amount of security that I'll hit the right keys. lol! Truth be told, the environment around a person (in a band situation in particular) has a lot to do with visible emotions. I've seen it, and been in it -both good & bad environments- to know being in a good, positive and supportive vibe is MUCH better than the other way! Thank you again for your kindness... you made my day.
