Weatherby SA-08 Disassembley

why make a video, and only disassemble half of the firearm, most important operation is the trigger mechanism, which you omitted. It's like taking a crap, and not wiping your ass

How similar is this model to the Traditions ALS 2100 that ATA made back around 2002? Ok, I have decided that they ARE THE SAME GUN, except for the different gas pistons, that was an issue for me with the ALS when using heavier loads. I have decided after fixing it 2 times, its best just to stick to target loads with that gun.

I have one that operates the same way but it won’t go back together the bolt don’t want to slide back

Thanks for this. Mine is the SA-459. The owners manual has very small pictures. I'm assuming the most important parts to clean are the barrel, gas piston and ports and the block/reciever, followed by lube.

I bought a Traditions ALS 2100 that I found out is similar to the Weatherby. I am so happy I found your video I took it out to shoot for the first time today, and when I tried to put it back together, it didn't like me. Thank you, thank you, thank you for making this video; it saved me from looking dumb with a gunsmith.

Dude, great vid. I have a brand new SA-08 just like yours right out of the box and I can't get the barrel in because the bolt won't go back. I have tried everything to move that bolt and it just won't move from the forward position. I want to love this new shot gun, but right now I don't.

thanks, subscribed. i have two ata cy shotguns--one is a short bbl tactical and the other is a 28 inch field model. these are, from what i have read, identical to the weatherby sa-08, because ata makes the sa-08 for weatherby. mine have two gas cylinders and in both guns extra cylinders can be stowed in a recess in the forend, before you install the forend nut. this keeps the extra cylinder with the gun. perhaps the older model reviewed did not have this feature, but i can't imagine not having the extra cylinder on the gun for obvious reasons. other reviewers have missed this as well...

The Hatfield SAS seems to be a direct copy of this gun. I wonder if the barrels are interchangeable.

Would you reccomend the sa 08 (gas system) or the element (Inertia system)?

Hey I have same gun but I accidentally took barrel off without cocking back and now I can't get the charging handle to move back do I just need to take gun all the way apart like video or what do I need to do

the copied berettas trigger group and bolt system 😡 the feckers but the gas system is definitely there's

Ohh and to make it easier to get the barrel back into the receiver hit the tiny button at the back of the shell lifter you will hear it click then pull back your bolt it makes it were the barrel doesn't push out of the receiver and grab your bolt handle and press the bolt realise and guide it forward just to let yous guys know

Use a rubber mallet on the cocking handle while fitting the barrel in the receiver . If you don't have a rubber mallet just use a towel and hammer

I have a shooting competition tomorrow and procrastinated until the night before to clean it xD thanks for helping me with the cleaning disassembly!

Wish you would mention the o ring which is in front of the gas ports. needs cleaning and lubrication for a good seal.
