A simple weathering process of Zaku 2 F2 that I bought a year ago.
This video is a much watch for beginners and newbies who wanted to start on exploring weathering their Gunplas.
The kit is ugly built and already top coated using an industrial spray topcoat.
Using Tamiya Weathering sets B and C, we will add weathering effect on this kit and make the kit interesting.
No chipping, no mapping, no fancy rust, and no advance sh*t application, just pure dry brush.

should you topcoat the model first to weather it?

How dou prevent it wearing off? It looks very good in the begining but eventually it will wear off. Well, it happened to my models, how can I seal it permanently. Thank you!

in my experience, if the surface is matte or flat, it will less likely wear off. I have lots of kits weathered with tamiya weathering without any sealed coating and still, the effect didn't fade at all. :) just don't weather on a glossy or satin surface. Try coating it with a water-based varnish. :D

@@WilsonAlinea Do you think a top coat of something like Mr. Hobby Super Clear Flat would protect it from rubbing off?

I see, well all of my models are finished in clear flat and somehow the pigments are not staying as it is. Maybe it's my way of storing it, how about if i airbrush it with clear but at a very slow psi, like misting it with matte/flat. anyway thank you for the info and cheers to the best hobby!!!
