When I was 12 and playing Lord of the Rings SBG when it first launched, I dreamed of having the resources to be able to make things like this. At 29, I'm now pondering whether I should indulge that ambition. You're so talented with your modelling that it is inspiring to see!

Overall, excellent work on this. Inspiring. I found also that using those bark chunks on the sides of the cliffs gives a really realistic rock face, and avoids the ridgy hot-wire cutter patterns (that don't look terrible, but still not super realistic). Great stuff, kudos.

Zorpazorp your channel has got me back into LOTR - I had a huge collection back in 2003 when the series was initially released by GW but never played and eventually moved onto video games and other interests so sold my collection (nnnnnoooooooooo😱) however I got back into 40k in 2016 and I am fortunate enough to play at Warhammer World most weeks. I keep seeing the new Hobbit releases etc but they never really inspired me to start a collection again. I came across your battle reports and your superb terrain and thought - yes that is how LOTR is meant to be played so have begun looking into getting back into the game. This time I plan to only get the minis for a particular scenario, build and paint and play before moving onto buying more, however I am such a LOTR fanboy I will most likely start to panic buy everything off of eBay 😂 keep up the great work - I watch your vids as I paint and they are truly inspirational 😁👍🏻

Years ago I made the mistake of using plaster of paris to make a castle. The blocks were brittle and I was trying to glue them with PVA which wouldnt stick them together properly, you could just pull them apart cuz the plaster would break away from the glue. It was heavy and brittle, not a good combo. I never finished it lol.

Great finish and an iconic looking piece. Personally, I'm not a fan of hirsts arts because it's used *everywhere* and it just jumps out at me - spoiling the immersion. Hirst arts build tend to look a bit samey too (not bad, just samey). Can't fault the product though - simple to use and the pieces are very well thought out.
