What better present to give than a korowai for your whānau to cherish forever? Maata McManus teaches the art of korowai weaving, and earlier this month her class of weavers showcased the result of their hard work with a Korowai Ball.

Korowai has huka tassels as I've been taught. Kakahu refers to the fully feathered cloak.

The facial tattoos are awful. Leave the face as Spirit created it. No reason for Humans to interfere.

In Maori culture the facial tattoo or moko kauae is considered extremely spiritual and dates back to ancient times please look up meaning of it

Moko is a mark of status and cultural identity. It means you are a Woman or a Man of Rank in traditional Maori society.
