Weaving a Greenwood Cloche in Hopalong HollowPart2 of Garden Cloche

I will show you how I've created these very rustic yet beautiful Protective Garden cloches using Greenwood whips and vines. The main thing is to find the correct wood, it can be any pliable, green wood from any kind of tree, as long as you can bend it. I've also used a lot of wisteria vine and Ivy vine.

@@JeriLandersofHopalongHollow when I find some time I'm going to try these. I was scrolling through some crafting DIY's. People have been making lanterns out of the faux metal (plastic) garden trim. You can find these at Dollar Tree, walmart, etc for a $1. I think that they could be used to make more of a square shape.

Hi Jeri. You constantly amaze me ! I LOVE the cloche that you created. I'd like to offer a suggestion and I hope you are not offended. My suggestion is to cut the plywood into a round disc. Get rid of the excess length and then attach the plywood disc to a lazy susan. This way you can just turn the jig as you weave the ivy vines. This should make it easier for you to make the cloches. Thank you for sharing yet another WONDERFUL idea with all of us.
@JeriLandersofHopalongHollow
@JeriLandersofHopalongHollow 5 лет назад
Randy, no offense taken, it's a good idea. The lazy susan would have to be small, so as not to cover the drilled holes, as the branches need to be pushed through at least 5".

Michelle, about once a year we get these amazingly LONG rain weeks. This is nothing! It was even more flooded a few days later when the creek turned into a river, then a lake. Fortunately, it never comes up to the house and the water fowl love it. Hurrah that you've got all your seed stuff ready to go, I just started mine yesterday for the cutting garden.
