One or more interruption is fine. But These constant interrupts leads to vibe of that u r doing an job/investment interview instead of a podcast. From no angle this conversation looks like a "chat".
That’s probably my only negative thing about this. I wish he wouldn’t cut him off mid sentence because it really is disrespectful as fuck. I get it he’s eager to get into so many questions in so little time but I would like to hear his full response.
Its cuz Gary is so used to doing all the talking. He doesn't like listening in the kind of sense you would think he would when interviewing someone like Mark Z.
Gary change the conversation ie the question because Mr. Zuck still doesnt see that key components decentralization, privacy, and security. Give the people what they want 🐙
This interview makes me feel like Metaverse is the digital moon and all these leaders/businesses are trying to be first at staking their flag on it. Great conversation.
The speaking style of the two are very different. Gary is explosive, passionate, and just speaks his mind. Mark wants to be organized, building the argument slowly. Gary also is a good story teller. Still comes off like Gary has attention deficit, steering to a completely new direction before mark finishes his slowly evolving argument.
Yes it's rude. Because he should have some sort of a discipline conducting this interview. His interruption.. directly interrupting the audience attention and focus. Keep the point in mind, ask the question once it finished. No matter who you are interviewing.. be respectful and professional.
did anyone else noticed how well mark can speak his mind ? usually those people who created things that never were in this world, they require a second of delay to think how they put what they think and what they feel, into words. But mark is a speaking machine, lol, wonder what trainings he did
I love how Gary has REAL conversations with human beings, no matter who they are. He doesn't see money or fame or power, just humans and talks to them.
1:38 Zuck's face... when Gary starts to speak. That is some great progamming on the Dev's part, that robot heard his name and cut it's audio. Outstanding for 2022
A human thinks on how to resolve real humanity problems with actions, he didn’t invest $10billion in humanity instead he did it in R&D to create “unrealistic” experiences that make that 10% of users less humans, less caring, to the level of 0% human he is.
People don't understand that Gary has to interrupt because he knows Mark does not have much time to talk. Gary got way more information from Mark because of it.
I remember ringing my Dad in Africa less than 10 years ago saying "Dad one day I'll be able to call you and you'll be able to see me. It may even be next year". How far we've come since then.
Bingo.. so many thoughts Zuck was about to give and then Gary cuts him off and takes him on a completely different topic and something that benefits Gary looking like a genius by watching Apple app store rankings lol
Mark is extremely insightful and you can tell why he’s been so successful from an execution standpoint in his business. I think that he’s such a genius that it’s hard to not come off as staged and robotic.
I think Mark meeting with Gary is just proof of the change of image that Meta is trying to make. They are trying to win young audiences, to bring them back to the platform. Now more than ever, with TikTok being such a threat
FB users wisened up & ditching FB so Zuck needs diff avenue oppty for more Cancel culture & continued indictrination of our youth. Good to see Zuck's being sued for taking over the Meta name..i hope they clean his smirky clock!
@@gogirl8045 Please. Cancel culture and indoctrination on Facebook? How out of touch are you? Nowadays, the Left has been outraged at FB for creating a platform where conservatives thrive. Just take a look at the top posts in the US on any given day. They're overwhelmingly Right-wing. Democrats hate FB for not doing ENOUGH to cancel people. Have you not watched the coverage in Washington? Frances Haugen is a liberal Democrat who is accusing FB of not censoring people aggressively enough. Also, that lawsuit about the name Meta is not going to win, period.
No chance in HELL I would trust meta with my life in the metaverse. Who would be that stupid. He's proven time and again they will ALWAYS choose to make money and screw their users. You trust them, you get what you deserve. ESPECIALLY because there are some considerably better options coming from the crypto community!!!
And if it's from crypto, then you actually own things in the metaverse. In his initial presentation, Zuck not even once mentioned users' rights to stuff in "his metaverse".
I think the interruptions are actually great. Zucc will give us his marketing pitch over and over again in the future, that's not interesting. Gary extracts some actually interesting information here.
You're one of the only people that get this lol. Most Execs will stick to their prepackaged verbal performances with slight variations. Hitting them with honest, but very very great, and obviously in depth questions or statements allows them to be as real as possible in the given context. Which, I think, is extremely important, especially with a person like Mark.
Mark is a really good listener, I never connected with him before but now I definitely can. Thanks, Gary, for inviting him. The man has great ideas and attitude. I will meet with him one day to say that in person, I think he is eager to show his true self, the kid behind all that, and that is my kind of people. You too, Gary! Thanks for all the insights guys, really grateful.
If the NFT community is about one thing, it's about getting down to the humanity & emotion fueling the artists. Hopefully it will catch on with everyone else jumping in.
He doesn't really seem all that excited about the tech, I think it's more about having us fully engaged in a world that can feed us ads from 360 degrees, getting to know us down to our core, and making money on our personal data. Soon enough there'll be heart rate sensors, brain scanners etc. Maybe it's useful for improving AI too?
I think I would decline an interview from Gary. He only wants to talk about his thoughts and questions. As soon as his interviewee gains any traction in answering a good question, Gary jumps in and interrupts to provide more thoughts and a totally different question. Like, the questions are good, but as an interviewer you sometimes have to wait for the full answer to come out. Gary just relentlessly pounds with questions, and we're left with less substance than we could have had.
I think after the lockdown and the virus keeping everyone tied to a virtual life... we need more time making connections in real life and go the opposite way of where meta wants us to go.
Was a little rough to listen to due to Gary's interruptions, this is probably the most human I've seen Mark lol so it would've been nice if Gary had let him carry on with some of his personal stories a little bit longer or fully get his thought process out on a couple of the questions that he asked
I agree!! Gary's interruptions were quite annoying actually. There were times where Mark was really so excited and he had to contain the excitement to answer the question that was asked, but then Gary would interrupt him mid sentence. I was so interested ti hear what he had to say about NFT's and that was also cut short.
nah i loved this style - it was great to see that in the limited time they had together, Gary always rushed extremely fast to the REALLY important answers. The interview might have otherwise just been longer oder have less content.
Yes, he is managing a company with user base greater than the most populous country in the world. Still doing a better job than I’d expect from any politician. I don’t think any politician or most of his harsh critics have created a product anywhere close to what he has built. A company like facebook will always be scrutinized but I don’t believe anyone (including me) have the right to give advice to Mark on how to run the company he created from ground up.
Man oh man this is some great stuff, except for the few sudden interruptions lol. Can't wait for the exploration of the metaverse as well as to see what Bangsta Bears NFT is going to do in it. You should check them out Gary, really cool group so far, I like em!
This is probably one of the best things Mark has done for his brand. Gary is one of the few people that can make Mark seem more human :) Great interview.!
@Cherish God his Satanic links are for all to see and find on the wonderful interweb..... We can joke, but the beast system is NO joke at all really... Ultimate enslavement......
Zuckerberg likes Gary's ability to communicate so effortlessly and he's communicating with him as a peer, or even someone he admires. He's vulnerable with Gary. I want a toaster strudel... damn I'm high.
Tough one... I really enjoyed the interview, Gary does interrupt a lot; I think we forget that these interviews are as much for him as they're supposed to be for us -- problem is (maybe) neither side sees that.. we don't realize that Gary is doing this for himself, he already knows the answer and is ready for the next question, and perhaps he doesn't realize that we're all nowhere near his level and do need the full answer from the interviewee, especially being Zuckerberg.
Guys check out, ironically enough, The Web 3 Project. It's going to be both a DAO with an APY feature that can auto-compound every 3 seconds with an APY of 400,000%. For the next 2 weeks only, the APY has been temporarily increased to 1.6 billion! I'd suggest to check this project out and DYOR.
I love Gary-I think he's a great business man. But in my opinion, the interruptions in this interview were bad. The apologies that repeatedly followed didn't help seeing the interruptions kept coming. One or two interruptions would have been great. Or more, if they were properly timed. For a 36 minute interview, it was much. I learnt a bit from this and got great perspectives on some issues but it could have been better. Thanks anyway, Gary!
I’ve been trying to buy the ‘just STFU & listen for once bro’ pill so I can ship it out to Gary. It’s cool to refrain from exerting your opinion every once in a while bro. I get that Zux is younger than you, but pay respect & homage when you meet someone of this caliber. You guys are both legendary, but just let people complete their thoughts , it’s not a goof look to be as interruptive as you are, with all due respect .
It felt like a bit of a dick measuring contest. “Hey guys here’s Mark Z and we all know what he’s packing, but mines can measure up too, just look” …….. 🤢😵💫😮💨It was too much. And the eagerness to get mark to validate him and his past predictions was the killer for me.
I forget Mark is a real human being from time to time, but this was good to see him actually speak. I appreciated learning about the future of social and how I could take advantage of it
I have never been more convinced that I am living in an ancestor simulation than I am right now. Its like watching how we got into this virtual reality we live in now.
Y'all talking about him cutting zuck without realising that 99% of other podcasters would have to keep quiet and ask the PR questions because it's Mark frikkin Zuckerberg. Its clear that mark respects Gary and is opening up in a more honest way because of that. Love all of this. Was super sick of hearing the same BS questions that are too high level. This is the real shit
6000 views after 24 hours? Explains a ton of where we are at as a national and global community. This is going to be in the augmented/virtual high school history books for the next generation. Thank you for getting together and sharing this content!
Loved the interview, never heard Zuck talk in a setting like this. Only seen him testify. It’s a little cringe worthy whenever Gary interrupts. I’m not sure he can turn that off, but good interview nonetheless. Thanks for the content
It’s cuz he’s on adderall when ur tweaking you fiend for knowledge just as much as you do for whatever stim you’re using. So he’s so hyper focused on it all he can’t help himself.
I was hating seeing you interrupting him constantly, but I understand why you did it. You gained my respect when you asked about his clothing and he just straight up lied saying it was out of laziness. You retorted precisely with what I was thinking. I think someone as powerful as him chooses every detail of his image carefully because it is meant to deliver a message. The fact that he lied about it without fidgeting makes one wonder what else he's covering up.
Gary has great questions and bad about interrupting but in a way helps the conversation moving. He takes Mark out of the can responses and yet a little torn by this.
This is probably the only time I’ve ever seen Mark so casual with his guard down and not so scripted. I saw the human side of him. It was pretty rad. Nice show Gary!
Look at this guy speaking with one of the biggest tech billionaires in the world all because he worked his ass off and didn’t become the average joe great guy!
I feel like Mark read Ready Player One and then thought "I'm on it." I'm really hoping other companies do their own version and we're not stuck with Mark as our IRL Halliday.
(I’m 19) Gotta be honest: I’m a little scared of the Meta VR world they’re planning on releasing. Currently, physical human interaction is becoming less and less because of social networks, online dating, delivery apps etc. Now Meta wants to release something that allows you to be anywhere in the world at the comfort of your home, but you’re not actually there...it’s literally VR. What’s gonna happen to human interaction in the future? Only time will tell. But genuinely, this does feel like a step backwards. I love Facebook, kinda love IG and Twitter, but this Virtual human interaction thing is too much for me
Correct. Even though facebook has been emphasizing that they want to rebuild the connections among people. They technically want these connections to happen in some virtual world to make hefty money more than they previously did.
I’m 19 too bro, i got the same view as you, i just hope this will cut out how we interacted thru texts and not vocally. I don’t like easy miscommunications through media and texts but sitting for the rest of our life’s in VR will be just as bad
Glad to hear I’m not the only one feeling this way. There is one way to stop this all tho, simply by not participating in this stupidity, even if the people around you do. I still wanna ask a girl out face-to-face, go to actual sporting games, go out and just do shit and actually witness it. My advice is to simply screw Meta by trying to do more physical, non-virtual things instead of doing it their desired way. And get the people around u to do it. Idk how successful this would be but it’s a worth a try to save humanity, right?
I love that Gary interrupts formalities and cuts straight to the alpha. Also he just humanized one of the richest men on earth and now we like Mark. Go Mark! Go Meta!
@@danielthenatural Bro "no-one" is being called alpha in this comment and the fact that I have to explain that........ under a video about the metaverse......awkward
Don't act like you didn't think he wasn't gonna interrupt him 20 times and talk about some story he's already told a million times lol. Love it tho, good interview. Zuck seems committed to make this new platform and I respect that more than earlier Social Media crap.
Startıng early is the best way of gettıng ahead to build wealth, investıng remaıns a priorıity. The stock market has plenty of opportunities to earn a decent
In 15mins and falling asleep. It's an infomercial with shades of recruiting fresh new souls. The only reason VR hasn't gone mainstream, years ago this "project"
@@rr6931 You must not be paying attention. Meta is the top investor in VR and has been steadily ramping. Cant take the train if you haven't laid the tracks yet
The challenge that there is no next Pokémon Go -like AR experience is because such match made in heaven IP celebrated by 3 generations doesn't exist yet.
It’s uncanny how much Mark now sounds like Peter Theil, his cadence, the way he talks and even his tone. I think Mark may have updated his programming with new code. Would love to see a Meta+Palantir deal or partnership in the future.
I’ll never forget being broke as a joke listening to your podcast at work now to be in the position I’m in now! Crazy. Great video! Loved the information
The fact that we can see Gary asking the *real* questions is great. He is one of the few people that actually get it and knows what are the good questions to ask. Incredibly valuable content right here.
When Zuckerberg said "I've always been a great believer of virtual goods" I almost spat my coffee. Of course you have, Mark, WE are your virtual goods.
