It has the water pump too. The thing is it's the original part and I really think it's the digital CANbus thing, I will have to check it. Thanks for the heads-up.
Excellent video John - you make it look easy. Three questions: -My dosing pump is disconnected from fuel lines and when attached direct to 12v clicks on and stays on. It only retracts when disconnected. Is it stuffed or does the unit send a pulsed voltage? -Do you have a wiring diagram that you can share?. -What's the chances of you having a spare water pump inlet spigot?
hi, yes you can use Webasto-but must have water pump as it`s 5kW to avoid overheating -D3WZ is 3kW only; you`ll need dedicated fuel pump; lots of BMW Webastos used to be digital one(CANbus)-so make sure to buy analog one as digital one are useless... :)
Hi Im trying to fix my Thermo Top C Webasto on my semi truck, I got the test kit with software from ebay but im not sure how to connect it properly since I dont have the controller, I see that you are using simple switch is that will work if I do the same or it some special switch some kind of module? Hi, Have you got a wiring diagram? I have just bought a webasto and the loom has green/yellow wire, blue wire, yellow wire & a white wire. could you point me in the right direction of what I need? I just want it on a on/off switch in the car. Thanks Andy

@StevenG0410 Hi, yours pump is fine. It`s only clicking once is connected/disconected from 12V. Haven`t got spare water pump at the moment, sorry. I`ll send you wiring diagram to your email.
+ΣΤΑΥΡΟΥΛΑ ΑΜΑΞΗΛΑΤΗ Make things simple....you have a unit from a BMW E 39 and you want to stick it on a caravan or campervan or whatsoever.....working the lake or not walk the walk is another matter....bear in mind that this model is not a high tech and its easy to install it. Although if you find it hard to do the modification you should attend your nearest and more reputable technician.
Hi John, recently taken stock of a thermo top C which turned out to be a thermo top Z C/D. Do you have wiring info to power this 'on the bench' ? I have 4 wires coming out in a harness, not mains red brown as my last one (which has a burnt out board - so much for tested and working) but blue and green/yellow mains, and a yellow and grey thin pair, all into one block and most likely to vehicle loom. I have an airtop 2000, which I serviced, and is fine, I'd like to run the Thermo top as a biodiesel heating project (may have to beef up the pump / bypass it). I'd be running it on diesel to heat the bio, not running it on bio. Great video, all the best, Mark. I should have added my e-maill address - markturver@hotmail.com.
