In protocol T trial, Eylea shows superior effects on more advanced vision loss DR, but I noticed the Eylea has the highest dosing strength @ 2.0 mg/0.05 mL v.s. Avastin 1.25mg/0.05 mL; how do you know that the “superior effects of Eylea” isn’t simply achieved by a higher dosing strength? In other words, if Avastin dosing is raised, how do we know it won’t achieve non-inferior effects than Eylea? As far as for diabetic eye screen, I think it’s almost impossible to make ALL of them visit ophthalmologists, but for those diabetics with neuropathy, I definitely think they should make every effort to get eye screen. If they have demonstrated their peripheral nerve damage by DM (most likely due to poor micro vascular circulation), I think they will have a higher chance to have diabetic optical nerve neuropathy or diabetic retinopathy.
