It is well known but worth repeating: Latin America and the Caribbean is an extremely large and diverse region with an abundance of natural resources and energy potential. Indeed, the latest International Energy Agency (IEA) outlook report focused on the region captures these facts while also highlighting that the resource wealth presents what they call “the door to future opportunities.”
On the occasion of the publication of Sproule’s annual Latin American and Caribbean Energy Outlook Report, we are pleased to co-host a webinar to share the insights contained in their analysis and input from some of our experts.
The webinar explores the region’s outlook in 2024 focusing on significant transactions, highlights and key developments by country, and opportunities for sustainable energy solutions throughout Latin America and the Caribbean with a focus on topics such as: Inflation, logistics, and critical issues facing investors across the region; Energy demand and the role of natural gas as a transition fuel; The opportunities for geothermal energy, carbon capture, and the production of critical/strategic minerals.
The webinar featured a presentation by Sproule experts Chris Mylde, Senior Vice President, Corporate Development and Jorge Milanese, Regional Director for Latin America, and followed by a panel discussion featuring Marta Jara, Institute of the Americas Non-Resident Fellow and former Shell executive and CEO of ANCAP in Uruguay and Jeremy M. Martin, Vice President, Energy & Sustainability at the Institute of the Americas.
