Join Framestore VFX Supervisor Bob Winter for an exploration of Rebel Moon's alien creatures and immersive worlds. Hear him unravel the challenges of bringing to life hero creatures like the huge, griffin-like Bennu and the Harmada, an unnerving human-spider hybrid. Elsewhere, Bob will explore filling vast environments with intricate atmospheric detail and meticulously matching the distinct visual qualities of the unique anamorphic lenses used by Director, Zack Snyder.

Thank you for laying down VFX foundations for students of today and tomorrow. Academia can take time to catch up, so putting this information out there for anyone to learn from is crucial. I hope other VFX houses do something like this. Cheers and huge respect FS. b

The Ultimate “fix it in post”- showreel. Really impressive work, love the the lens profiling part that also reminds me of the webinar with the colorist who did mindhunter and how they shot on “clean” lenses and added vintage anamorphic characteristics afterwards. The part about not storyboarding to focus on actor’s performance is just hilarious.

might be a dumb question, but for 100% CG shots could you export the shot and then film on a screen or something through the lens?
