Every day is a school day. Thanks for this lovely walk through a now lost age of air rifles. So sad when you think what we used to manufacture and is now lost. What a great looking rifle. Surely it must have been one of the first take down type. What lovely cases as well, a time when qualiry counted and you can really tell. A testament that they are still capable of being used.
I had a .22 Webley Mk 2 during the late 1950s, when I was in my early to mid teens. It had the rear pop up sight of the Series 3, but it also had a safety catch. So, I guess it may have been some sort of a hybrid. I recall it being very low powered and I could actually see the pellet travelling away from the muzzle every time I fired it !!! I’ve no recollection of what happened to it, but wish I still had it now.
What a lovely video. Thank you. Would that I could justify the vast expense of owning one of these classic rifles! I would love one, but they are for deeper pockets than mine! You have a great collection.
brilliant video. This is the one gun left on my bucket list but cannot justify the price of one right now. Thank you for a very informative video of all the marks.
