The Boxer is awesome, and Im not into martial arts stories. But hell all the side characters get fleshed out, and even someone you HATE you grow to love.

@@motivated2473 Ip Man, and I mean the unrealistic over powered movie version of ip man could hold his own against mike tyson (playing the character of frank but still evidently as strong and fast as mike tyson) with his wing chun fantasy. Ip man could probably beat anyone from the boxer in a street fight, hell he could probably have a pressure point technique to damage aaron tide with, as that's basically what he does with anyone that is physically stronger than him. He might not beat Yu though because time is slower for him and he just moves way to fast for everything, Ip Man is normally faster and more skilled than people he fights with and uses that to his advantage over the opponent's strength. Ip Man would probably still pull something out of his ass to anticipate Yu but I think Yu is the only one that can beat Ip Man safely and in the webtoon. Aaron Tide may also win 6/10 times, but I bet if Aaron or Yu where racist then Ip Man gets super china plot armor and crush both of them🤣

@@gab5012 Ip Man had trouble beating a Mob Boss that was good at boxing and middly strong, Aaron Tide is Mike Tyson on steroids. I don't see how he's surviving him when even Yu couldn't fully dodge him and had to counter or change the direction of his attacks. At best I see him defeating Ryu and Quasim, maybe even give Jean Pierre trouble, but Yu is directly a Monster. He can read attacks and copy fighting styles while also living in an entirely different world with slowed time. Even if Ip Man tries kicks, Yu will forsee it and counter before he can even think of a counterattack, and i don't see IP Man living after getting his heart exploded by Yu's piercing attacks. It doesn't matter how skilled Ip Man is, Yu will crush him without mercy in the skill department. If Yu was able to defeat a skilled Boxer at the level of a Profesional while being a skinny kid and only knowing a one-two punch that he learned by seeing it ONCE. He's gonna crush Ip Man once he's allowed to fight unrestricted to only punches, and even if he wasn't, he's superhumanly fast and can forsee anything Ip Man tries, to the point of defeating someone with superhuman senses. I'm also not buying into the Ip Man is going to "turn Aaron's strenght" Against him since Aaron is fast enough to put him out cold before he realizes what happened, since not even Yu can completly dodge his punches. It's honestly a ridiculous idea, Aaronwould win 9/10 times, that little 1 being if Ip Man it's strong enough to simply damage his eyes and run away, since he won't be able to dodge or redirect his punches like Yu.

Too bad we never saw kazu who knows maybe he woulda make it big in boxing instead of beating up unskilled fighters in the streets but as I thought yu woulda clapped him in a few seconds😂😂😂😂

Every supporting character of The Boxer was well written and could have made better protagonists than Yu. Whose whole identity revolves around being depressed and having an edgy backstory, and winning because he is more depressed than the other characters

Well no doubt this anti hero boxer is actually talented and hardworker he was in top 5 best boxers of japan and that ranking is not just by talent is also cuz of hard work but yuto is something special he realy put in the work and his work beat talent who actualy worked hard and i mean against anti hero unfortenetly he didnt beat yu but he gave really hard time in ring. Yuto's character is really good this is telling that some people have talent in the begining and some who dont have they creat him or they awaken him much later and that thing who is created later is really strong almost unstopoblle and that was when yuto was in his prime
