Thank you for your explanations. I purchased this laser and have tried a couple things but I learned so much from your video that I knew it did but couldn't figure out why I wasn't able to do what I wanted it to do.
Sure! If you lay a few pieces of wood in your machine and close the lid the camera will show them in your software. If you want to add the same design to each one, create it once then choose smart fill and it will automatically fit the same design on each piece. It saves a little time manually placing each design.
Do you know about any written manual beside the beginner one that came with the machine. I need a manual to figure out all the functions in this software. Thank you
The software is free to download and use, no cost! There are some pre-made design files that have a fee but you really don't need to use them, totally optional. I believe you get 6 months free to use these when you buy your machine. You can also make or import your own files.
Hello. I just got my machine but I bought an iPad a few months ago and I did download the we pad program but I can’t download any files to make it. It always only go to photos. Is there any advice or a tutorial to help me with that. I don’t wanna have to buy an other expensive electronic.
Hi, thank you for the video, very few videos out there to learn the Wecreate software. I have a question... I made a finger joint box and added text to the end of the box. Is there a way to make sure it engraves first before cutting out the pieces? Want to make sure the pieces cut don't interfere with the engraving process. Do I group the text with the box? or do I use the layer function? When you see the layers box in the lower left, which layer goes first? Thank you, sorry for the long question :)
Great question, I prefer to engrave first as well. Using layers is your best bet. Layer 1 will go first, so select your items to engrave and keep them on layer one. Then select the items to cut and move them to layer 2. Before you break things into layers, make sure all pieces are ungrouped. Hope this helps, thanks for watching!
I have seen this issue in the WeCreat groups especially with the latest software updates. Unfortunately I don't have an answer. You could try the official WeCreat Facebook group and see if anyone has found a solution.
Yes but only opaque acrylic and not all colors. That will be true with any diode laser, they struggle with blue and white and aren't intended for clear.
Sorry but I didn’t get the texting part. Now I click on The T button then have to delete the word Hello. Then trying to add my text and adjust the font. Is there a manual to teach this program?
There is a manual on their website. I know it can be a learning curve and sometimes having the instructions written out is really helpful. View it here > support.wecreat.com/hc/en-us/articles/8732218971663-WeCreat-MakeIt-Software-User-Guide
How do you upload a layered design or any design without it loading into the project way bigger? It’s very frustrating trying to save something to upload and it just loads it in not the size I saved it at? Please help.
That can depend on the type of file you are using. An SVG is a scalable vector so it often loads much larger than needed. You can select all pieces (CTL + A on a windows PC) and size it down using the measurement boxes. If you are uploading a PNG or other file you can save the original in a smaller size but then you compromise the quality of the image.
