Had a Cat 4 atmospheric river last Friday Saturday w 140 mm in my rain bucket but coastal Tofino mountain > 240 mm Mainland N & W Vancouver got slammed w 200+ in 24 hours w devastation of a bunch of house getting torrents of boulders through homes & sadly one house was completely destroyed and one loss of life. On the island a few didn’t turn around n not drown. So it was a early October rain storm blowing out daily records by 100-150 mm Oh 25 mm =0.984 in ‼️ 100 mm=3.937 in 200 mm =7.874 in 300 mm=11.811 in Also had northern light this year like I have not seen in years- CME Are just phenomenal
The storm track needs to shift south a little bit and head more directly east instead of constantly up into the Great Lakes and Ontario. The patterns are still acting like it is September.
Listening a day late. Drove to SW CO and lots of snow in San Juan /La Plata mtns. Soill still mist at 7600 feet. Great show lots of insight and tips. I am always amazed how you can flawlessly dance through numerous products truly giving us a better understanding!
Mid to lower 70s here in Salt Lake City today. Beautiful day. But I imagine it's much warmer than it should be. Hoping we see some rain in the next week or so, and I hope we have a good snowpack again this year. I love your videos. Your voice is so relaxing, and I just love hearing and learning about weather systems. You go very in-depth and it keeps me excited while watching your videos. Learning a lot from you! Thank you for all you do!
Snow level dropping this week in N.Idaho...beautiful fall weather..praying for a healthy snow pack this winter to feed the aquifer. Thanks for the forecast!
Looking like a fairly good wind event in Victoria BC Canada in the wee hours of Saturday morning . Cameras ready since i Traded Alberta thunderstorms for BC windstorms back in 2008 . When i hit every weather book at the Edmonton Public Library after the 1987 July 31 EF-4 Tornado ,,i found Weather Wise magazine . Through that i also found Storm Track . The good old days .
Thanks for the update from Victoria! Yeah I miss Storm Track but at least we have back copies to look back on. One thing that sucks about social media is information is not organized well like in those old magazines, and on sites like Facebook and X/Twitter it tends to perish after a few weeks.
As before, I'm really enjoying being a new subscriber, Tim! Up here in Northeast Iowa, the persistent warmer weather gave way overnight to mid 50s for our highs today. Still sunny, but definitely sweater weather! We really could use some rain as many of the farmers are nearly complete with harvest, so rain would be very welcome about now! Looking forward to your upcoming reports! You're quickly becoming my go-to for my weather information! Mike, in Elma, IA
Thanks Mike! I do like the comments from around the country and I am starting to write some of them down as I see them. Much better than trying to sift through X.
